  • Not the best video, but hey it's something! These parts are pretty heavy. Please understand that I did connect the long arm to the chassis using the wrong linchpin. I noticed and corrected this issue before using.

      Edwin Acevedo excellent my friend! Be prepared for those axels to bend after some use. It's a strong little mighty machine. No regrets here.

      I was digging all day yesterday from 9am - 6:30pm and only made it 45 feet. I found out my property is that four letter word, "CLAY". ugh!!!

      I just replied to Kilog; "I was digging all day yesterday from 9am - 6:30pm and only made it 45 feet. I found out my property is that four letter word, "CLAY". ugh!!!" It's a realy PITA!

    Very nice !!
    If Your property including lots of hard clay.. I think You have to make longer bucket theet.. They helps a lot because this backhoe have power..

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you suggest I get some metal and just weld onto the current teeth? I think you should make a video to show me how :) thank you so much for your feedback kind sir

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also some of the problem is that the clay will not fall out no matter how violent I drop the bucket. I need to get it out with a shovel.

    • @MetsaMan
      @MetsaMan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do You have wider bucket, that what have three teeth.. I think that narrow bucket what comes with backhoe can make that.. It is just too thin...

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is 2 teeth. It's only 9 inches/22 cm/228 mm wide. Do you think a wider bucket would help?

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I found a solution to allow the clay to release easier: www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/customization/292071d1354981762-solution-clay-packed-twelve-12-a-selfcleaningbackhoebucket-pdf

    Hello solardrew. I've been looking at different towable backhoes. How are you liking the Jansen after using it a while? I like the 2 joystick controls. Do you feel like you are leaning forward to use them ? Thanks in advance.

      I figured it out no I didn't get a thumb, did you? I think you'd need an additional hydraulic control for a thumb

    • @stanroberts4820
      @stanroberts4820 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SolarDrew just got it today. It's a stationary thumb so no extra cylinder. I wanted it for limbs etc not much to it so we'll see how it works out. Thanks for the video. Went thru the same process!

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stan Roberts no problem my friend! I'm glad the video helped you. I'd love to see what the thumb looks like. Can you make a video or send me a picture of it?

      @stanroberts4820 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SolarDrew can't make a video, but I can text you a picture of it. If you would rather there is a picture of one on janson.com it is very simple and I should have just welded up one.

      @@drewbaden8645 Thanks for the reply Drew! I know I am prejudiced, being a photographer and all... But I watch these videos on a 9 ft. wide screen and the little vertical videos are just.... wellll.... aggravating, ya know?!? LOL Otherwise, decent video and THANK YOU for posting it! You would have had MUCH better detail if it was sideways...
      I am seriously looking at their MB-1500 and especially their MB-2000 with the Yanmar diesel engine. Having a small farmlet and always digging holes and pushing dirt around, I would LOVE to have one of their mini's! We prefer diesel whenever possible. We have given up on gasoline for farm equipment, anything that uses gas, we converted over to propane and haven't looked back! For small engines, the conversion is rather simple and you never EVER have to worry about a gummed up carburetor again! Our generator sits in the barn until the next hurricane - starts right up on the first or second crank after sitting for as much as TWO YEARS!

    For who need to know wheel bearing kit part number for Jansen 300 B is H4-C-PB-B from Martin Wheel $21.90 Jansen sell ONE bearing without race $34.?? ! Three weeks after purchasing towable from Jansen my right wheel froze up once pulled discovered bearings was never greased!

    • @SolarDrew
      @SolarDrew  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      William Brockman jr great info. Sorry to hear your situation. I’ve heard this before about the bearings. I immediately put on some new DOT worthy wheels from Walmart but the singles bent and therefore cause premature wear on the tires while towing :(

    • @wilub1
      @wilub1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SolarDrew Really glad the info was of use; have no problem with companies making a profit but to deliberately omit greasing wheel bearings thus causing them to fail in order to charge outrageous prices should be a crime! In my opinion!

      Can you tell me anything specific about your tires? They appear to be aftermarket “road tires” and not the small turf tires in all the on-line videos.
