A few minutes into the video I thought "Oh nice, these dudes are the complete opposite of Black Templars." 5 minutes later: "They fought along the Black Templars and the sisters of battle, they ended up hating each other." 😅 I love the video and the lore and I instantly want to paint some Tome Keepers.
My favorite bit was them moving a bunch of Sororitas bodies from a tomb, the sisters getting upset and the Tome Keepers just going 'they're already dead?'. Hilarious.
Since this is effectively the White Dwarf Magazine homebrew chapter, the fact that they do not have a dreadnought or captain, heck even a Votann ally named Grombindal, is a missed opportunity.
I would love to see Guilliman’s reaction to the Tome Keepers and their reasonable approach to battle. I’d imagine he would favor them and their tactics quite a bit
I was reading about the Tome Keepers and did a comparison to the Ultramarines. While they did share many similarities I did a little digging and a theory I came up with, there was another group of Space Marines who are meticulous and took the extra mile to learn everything they could of their enemies. Could this Chapter in fact be sons of Horus Lupercal, the Luna Wolves?
I don't know why, but I feel that Tome Keepers generally have the best Chapter Symbol created by Games Workshop. For this reason, I obtained a couple of decals from the White Dwarf magazine (and some pre-heresy Word Bearers decals for contrast) that I will use for my homebrew Space Marines Chapter. There Primaris, heresy models and old Space Marines will live together!

Agreed.
Tome Keepers: "Read, Greenskin! READ!!!"
Ork: "WAAAAGH!!!"
I didn't realize that the Reasonable Marines actually existed.
Now I have to wonder, who are the Meme Marines?
Angry Marines, hands down.
The reasonable marines are just the Raptors

They are Ultramarines after all.
@@Apothecarion Good point😂
"Oh, some of my sons _are_ sane. I am... pleasantly surprised"
This is mix of highest quality between Baldemort and Oculus imperia 👌
Keep it up, this content is good 👍
Soon as I heard meticulous planning and organization I knew they were sons of Guillman lol
Nice, its good to see some sanity in 40k every once in a while
Yeah, all grim dark all the time can get a bit much sometimes.
''Sanity is for the weak''
Very high production and story telling quality!
Much appreciated!
Was looking for ideas on painting pile of shame space marines. Thanks
They sound awesome! I've got to make a squad of them
I love these lore vids keep it up man!!

*happy gasp* people are talking about my book boys!
They're sons of guilliman?
I thought they were loyalist word bearers
so these guys are the bone white versions of the raptors and lamenters?
YEAAAS MORE REASONABLE MARINE CHAPTERS
Good stuff!
Cool vid
Tomb Kings are cool
Keepers of tomes?
Bearers of the word? 🤔🤔🤔
Grey armour, unwavering loyalty to the god emperor.
Yep deffo bearers of the word.
+++ THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN SUBMITTED FOR INQUISITORIAL OVERSIGHT. +++
Except much more focus on knowledge and tactics than faith. And they are bone colored ;)
Like the 3rd video ive seen that is just a word for word recitation of the wiki stuffed into an auto reader 😂
Lol These guys are DEFINITELY not successors of the word bearers or have ANY of Loregars geneseed 😂
Nah they are not that zealous. More obsessed with actual knowledge and tactics than anything.
