There are actually two reasons for that, 1) the brain is just kinda funny like that but also 2) there are instruments in here that still follow the vocal melodies, like that square wave in the intro, so you ARE technically hearing them just in a slightly different form. It's very interesting!! And helps out the full version as well I think
