Lol yeah I figured he wouldn't fuck with Grimstone, it is one of my favorites though, I swear it's inspired by Wild Arms and I played the hell out of 3
@@kralevic3297 its interesting to me for the same reasons I enjoy playing crokinole, shuffleboard, carrom, air hockey, and pool. games that involve ricocheting pucks/balls off of one another is just fun for me. the skill ceiling with games like those are deceptively high. setting up traps, blocks, chain reactions, making space, getting a bounce off of an opponent's puck (or pucks) that shoots off at just the right angle to be in a preferable position, knocking pucks out of play, using just the right amount of power to slide your puck into the perfect spot. I find near-endless enjoyment in visualizing the path my puck is going to take. it can be mildly exhilarating once you pull off some insane maneuver. it makes you feel intelligent as well, like you just solved a puzzle (lol). theres risk too, going for those hail-mary shots that are very difficult to pull off, maybe even impossible. but when when they work, its sick as hell man. this game in specific displays a very interesting concept that I think could be improved even further. by adding more puck character variations, more dynamic arenas with obstacles and mechanics (think pinball), curve shots, wind, slopes, gaps, surface-texture variation, skipping across water, special moves, mechanics that involve trying to get your puck into a zone for gold/buffs/other bonuses, etc. the game could be fleshed out majorly and it would be a very unique gaming experience. it's basically a more dynamic form of a turn based strategy game. Even in a game like shuffleboard, you can't help but feel satisfied when you slam some guy's pucks off of the table. its almost physically combative in a way, and yes I'm still talking about shuffleboard.

The AI gets kinda crazy with the trickshots, but it really wasn’t that bad besides that. Unlike the AI, you can strategize. Go for the scrolls at all costs, use your starting gold to get an army of good troops (don’t ever get Miner, Knight, Slime, or Bard, and you’ll usually be fine), always get the first move on red, and always prioritize killing their most powerful troops as soon as possible (especially Dragons, Rats, and Mages because the AI can abuse those the most); as long as you do this and hit most of your shots, you’ll find yourself winning 90% of the time. I only needed to kill like 2 units with water to get the cherry, and I made quite a few mistakes too, but there’s a good deal of leeway as long as you’re aggressive. Water is your best friend when you can make it work, but it’s really chance-dependent whether you get an opportunity to use water to your advantage so you can’t rely on it for your strategy to work
I have just enough intelligence to enjoy the banter but not quite enough to respond in kind. Oh well maybe I'll reincarnated as someone smarter in my next life.
It's so validating to know I'm not the only one who gets so overwhelmed by Star Waspir lol... It feels like the kind of game I SHOULD love but I just can't keep track of that much shit on screen at once
Bro your vids are hilarious. You commenting on this random northernlion video and I checked out your vids. You got me laughing more than NL 😂😂 that damn baby burping machine
Finally. I've been waiting for weeks to see his playthrough of Grimstone
He doesn't know
Ah, well, about that
What a playthrough it was
He said next time.
We’re grimstone guys
NL sounded so defeated when he realized he had found the "40 hour long JRPG" XD
I beat it and cherried in about 20
NL getting farther through Rakshasa in 5 minutes than I have in like 2 hours is humbling
All while yelling at chat about the Matrix...

Hahaha the grimstone part cracked me up. I understand. Great game tho.

Holy moly. A proper depiction of rakshasa?
Just dropped here like the boulders
Watching him constantly just stand around in Rakshasha instead of like, walking forward through the level hurts so much
There some chores in this house 🗣️ 🔥

One day Bug Hunter Chads , one day...
star waspir is motion sickness central
I cant believe he doesn't like lords of disconia. I want a full game in that style
What's so interesting about it? The gameplay feels so dragged out. It plays like some low effort mobile game, just without the ads.

yeah it looked so slow. i wish there was half as many units dealing twice the amount of damage
It's a good game but a little too slow, fights take too long
I get it. It's a fun game but not great for streaming imo

Diskonia goes so hard
Loved it. But by the end the AI gets an infuriating level of cracked.

Muskoka has been referenced, holy hell
I already miss the party house one
I agree that diskonia is too slow. I feel like the maps are too big and the units have too much health. It just feels like the fights are too long
They take forever and the AI is kind of unfair
NL got kinda cooked on the screentime piece at the end
41:50 absolutely cooked me (I'm 23)
Rakshasa is a fun little game, Star Waspir is the most trash of the entire collection
it's poorly tuned. it's too fast and hard to discern what is happening on screen
