I watched all of your empties throughout years and I am impressed. Can't wait for 2024 empties 😅 I'm also pleased with how much I used up this year, especially in the first part of the year, and recently I've been embracing low buy, so the collection isn't growing despite efforts. Also, I'm doing declutters regularly, whenever I see I don't like something I get rid of it.
Girl. I don't think I have ever seen such an impressive empties video. Out of curiosity how do you finish and use up so much makeup in a year?? I like to think I do my makeup pretty often like 4-5 times a week but I never make even 10% of your progress. Can you tell a little bit about your tips or practices implemented?
What’s the point in using makeup you can’t stand? I would’ve tossed the cream blush and picked something I know I love before it goes bad. It’s okay to throw away things you don’t like!
It would be conscious to use products you love before they go bad rather than using products you hate before they go bad? Idk I prefer to use the things I love while they’re fresh. But whatever floats someone’s boat!
the idea is to understand just how long it takes to finish up things and not to buy things on a whim just because you might get a couple of uses for it, it's training yourself to discourage from buying things (and letting them go to waste) by sticking with it and not just taking the easy way out each time you get bored of something
I get that. But it makes sense to use the stuff you love over the stuff you hate. If you use the stuff you hate first then the stuff you love will go bad and then you’ll never get to use it. She still buys a lot of makeup which is fine because it’s her money. But buying three blushes at once after already having 100+ blushes in her collection defeats the idea
@@lalalalala334 I definitely agree on both counts! I think a part of it is that for a lot of people, shopping is an addiction, and it can be equally as difficult to deal with. We can only see their action from the outside and judge. Maybe she got more because it's difficult to stop buying new things when it's your way of coping with stress and mental health issues, maybe she got more because she's not seeing the bigger picture that buying more ruins the purpose of decluttering. We can't really tell sometimes as internet viewers, that line gets blurred a lot. I try my best to be empathetic in either case while also trying to balance never encouraging overconsumption.

It is called conscious and responsible consumption
