For me it's not just the L, it's the fact that we've been slaughtered in many of those. 3-0, 4-0, 7-0, every time we play there's too great a chance we get absolutely thrashed.
@@nash9625 look how many times weve shipped 3+ goals. Its shocking. Last season he could fall back on the injuries. but its pretty much the same now with improvements to the squad and players back from injury. I just dont think hes cut out for the premier league at all
It's carnage though. We've just signed half the Dutch league, replacing the Ole era, to sack ETH and start all over again. There is no winning scenario here it seems. We're just falling further and further behind. I want us to be so much less erratic that we are, but who we bringing in? Southgate, Potter Tuchel, Frank etc. These names are a sad indictment as to who and where we are as a club.
he brought in Ajax players, repairing Ajax budget. Clever as most of ex-Ajax players had next transfer fee to original club. We now have to deal with mediocre Eredivisie players which Erik brought here. I wonder who would buy them? They are Crystal Palace quality and not Man Utd quality signings :(.
The one I've heard recently is "the players don't like his style of play or direction", and I'm... listen: I know it's a different world - being a professional footballer - than any world I will ever see. I do understand that. But it's still a job. There are lots of things about all of the jobs I've ever had I don't like, but I had to do them, and I had to do them to the best of my ability to succeed. It's absolutely ridiculous to hear that as an excuse (to me), and honestly, it's a little insulting. That being said: United's players haven't liked Ole's play, or Mou's play, or Van Gaal's play (although I understand not liking LVG's play a bit more), or probably Moyes's play. How long will they be ALLOWED to continue this? How many more managers will United go through - GOOD MANAGERS - before something changes? I just don't get it. I don't and I can't understand it. It's so ridiculous to me. It's not art like, "I want you to draw trees", and the artist says, "I only like to draw people", and then that won't work. It's football! Just having a really hard time with this one.
Truth,we heard the same thing under, jose, ole and Ralph "players don't fancy this manager style" tells me the same toxic players is still in there,my guess? Bruno, shaw, rashford (senior, highest earner) Ten hag didn't help himself by starting them everyweek tho,so he deserved what's coming
All but two players on the weekend are his signings or players he brought through from the academy. There's no excuses now, no injuries, and no lack of signings. He has to make it work with these players that he wanted and we spent for or he has to go, and I've backed him for the entire time but Spurs was inexcusable.
The thing is you can bring in anyone you like and we will still be having this conversation with a new manager in 2 years time and thats just true it has happened for the last decade and it wont stop
Did he or did he not come out and say at the beginning that the team is not ready and did Ratcliffe not say in one of his interviews that top 4 i snot the priority as there are other issues with the club. We seem to have forgotten all that .
@slebon622 We've not forgotten the £620 million he's jizzed on farmers league players either. And that money spent we are looking worse. I wouldn't read a lot into what Ratcliffe says, he's not made billions by telling the truth.
Have to remember most football fans are In no way reasonable and realistic. But then nobody is particularly in the wrong. I’d hope they keep him because now he at least has his squad and an actual bench for once. But then I really have very little to defend him with as he annoys me with his on field decisions most of the time. But you don’t win two trophies by being a bluffer. At least our board seems somewhat reasonable and realistic at last
For me, the worry with ETH is he's too confident (stubborn) in his system. The opposite of Ole. I think Ten Hags system works in a perfect world where players never misplay a pass and never get tired. I've said this before, but Peps system allows for errors or human factors and can adjust for those. Hence the consistency no matter who he puts in it (Helps he's also got a wealth of talent to throw in). My concern is ETH is too much of a football nerd, for lack of a better term. He's got an idea and is going to keep pushing it cause he can see what it will do when it is successful. And we've seen it too. The problem is it's not a sustainable system to play in the top level of football. I think even with the right players and depth we will still see massive midfield gaps and be hit on the counter. It's ETHs unwillingness to adapt this in a rebuilding environment that is damaging to the squad. And I don't mean the way he sometimes abandons his gameplan when it gets exposed mid game. While that's technically adjusting, it's reactionary and we end up on the back foot. The system might be great in a vacuum (or The Netherlands) but we will suffer its flaws more than the benefits at the top level.
Not having a left back is MASSIVE. It’s amazing how easily you’ll admit this when it’s you’re defending Rashford, but to hammer the coach Dallo is doing a good job. He tucks inside ok and advances the ball ok but his form has been pretty shite, especially against Southampton and spurs, he’s made many errors So this ain’t a full squad Not to mention the inexperience of the front men
Not only that Dalot is a right back playing a left back. He's been also massively overplayed. Man's been playing more than Bruno last season. No wonder he switches off and lacks energy sometimes. The physical and mental fatigue is catching up to him. I'm not saying that we wouldn't lose to Spurs if we had Luke Shaw, because that's too much to expect 100% healthy squad, but this is one of the factors that come into play. Had the team not let in that goal in the 3rd minute of the match, maybe we wouldn't have played like we've just shat ourselves from nerves.
@@iainsteele5737 that’s not the point I’m making just that it’s a factor you cannot say doesn’t exist as Ste basically just did. There’s enough cumulative issues at the moment to be able to say without question that the coach is the problem.. it’s too soon for me, I’ve seen enough change
I'm backing ETH and want him to do well, I don't want to change anyone's mind who wants him out, but the ones who do want him out are AFTV Wenger/Arteta out levels of rage because of it
I’ll tell you the Erik Ten Hag problem. The guys got ZERO fire. ZERO passion. After every drubbing under him, and there are many, he looks like he doesn’t get it. Doesn’t really care. To us, a 7-0 dicking off Liverpool is unforgivable because of who they are. To him, it’s just another opponent. Also feels like the guy doesn’t want to learn how the English game works. Dutch stubbornness.
Who came up with the whole 3 year time frame for success anyway? Success isn't linear... Ups and downs are part of the process, why can't some fans get this into their heads?! I honestly believe upgrading 3 positions (RW / LW / AM) could shoot us into the top 4 race ... We just need another summer or two and some damn patience and that goes for you guys too (TH-camrs).
You have to be smoking crack…like I mentally cannot comprehend your thought process, every manager that has come into other clubs this season, that team has immediately started adopting the new managers style of play, didn’t have to spend over half a billion to bring in players from their former club and somehow be even worse than last year, every player there is now because ETH wanted them to come or wanted to keep them…you and these delusional ‘toxic positivity’ reds are the reason we still have this absolute joke of a manager…the days of SAF are gone, once in a generation manager, it’s a results business and when you aren’t getting results, it’s time to go, 8th last year and an embarrassing goal difference, 6 games in, negative goal difference, less points than Everton in the last 15 games, the list goes on, any other top club would have gotten rid by now, Madrid, Barca, City, Juve, The Milan’s etc not one of these clubs would accept what is happening at United
RW for rotation with Diallo, another CM, but the priority is a LB. We need to get rid of Luke Shaw, dunno what's with Malacia after his 1 year long injury. We need a starting left back that can start 80% of the league matches.
@@countyman100 that was also the 80’s…it’s not the 80’s anymore, he’s a generational manager, the one after him was Jose Mourhino and there was 20yrs between them….you wanna wait another 20 years? @@anthonyguiness9with sample size that small, good performance could be an outlier lmao. "Its an outlier because i dont like it" yeah thats how stats work😂😂😂
How many times did we get smashed by another team and our players were messing up easy passes and jogging when the other team is sprinting and not winning tackles or 50/50 balls/headers? Has any manager or coach at any level told his players not to do the things I mentioned above? The rhetorical answer is obviously no but thats what happens most of the time we lose and ALL the times we lose big and that has happened over the last decade quite alot more than most of us older fans are used to. The bottom line is the manager can’t force desire and courage onto players. Doing the basics is implied at that level but we blame the manager when the team loses because of these things… Is the manager perfect? No he is not and none of them are but he can’t be clinical for them and he can’t make tackles for them and he cant sprint instead of jog for them. And lastly but most importantly he can’t make the right decisions for them during the game. Thats why we lost to Tottenham brighton and Liverpool. We played better against brighton but at the end left 2 wide open at the far post and a free cross into them.
I agree with this but the worry with ETH is that he’s continually trying to believe that these same players will eventually come good from one game to another. Everything takes time and patience but the players he’s chosen to give that treatment to have constantly been poor.
@@carlosguerra1997 It's time for the players to admit there passing and desire is just not fkn good enough. I am sick of rashford being continually picked when his attitude is not right.
These only one thing worse than looking at your team and thinking they have the wrong tactics , and that’s scratching your head and not even having a clue what the tactics even are.
We need more players like mount. Like all the signings this yr, mount is important to ten hags style of play. A midfielder whos excellent at pressing, controls the ball and great at defensive duels. He worked and our midfield was compact and our press was good in our first 2 games. Right now in our midfield without him, noone knows how to press properly, so they get pulled out of position and have to sprint yards back. Hojlund needs to be fully fit and we desperately need a proper left back. Every team are exposing our left side and attacking it.Both spurs and twente ran through it.
The claim that "we don't have a style of play" is the lamest shite I hear being thrown around. There's no manager without a style of play. Not even the worst managers!
Ten Hag has a style of play. We see it every game. People just can't wrap their minds around his style of play being a bad one. They can't get the idea that what we see is what he wants us to see. Even though he says it's what he wants constantly.
The spurs game has changed the narrative. I understand why you called it an outlier. United have been significantly easier on the eye this year and more dominant, if they converted a couple more chances it would look much different, but they didn't which breeds frustration and then Tottenham happened. But it's not an outlier it is the beginning of the downed tools part of the cycle we've seen before.
it's like people have gone mad or something. we beat a league 1 team and Southampton and all the sudden we have been dominant. every single game vs decent competition we have looked avg at best. vs good competition we got our buns blasted. our fans are so deluded it's beyond understanding at this point.
It's relationsim. That's the style. It's controlled chaos, but it only works when all your players are technical, highly intelligent and know each other very well.
Why do you need better players to see a style of play, who can honestly predict how we're going to play against Porto? My ball iq is pretty low and even i can see we lack identity. Yes we look a little better on the ball but thats just because we have more playets who know how to pass and hold the ball. Shouldn't the minimum requirement of of a professional player is to successfully pass a ball more often than not. Or fight for 50/50s and close down the opposition. I haven't seen either since Morinho/LVG era. Our players rarely tackle and tesms always pass around Rashford/Dalot or into spaces Bruno vacates with his undisciplined press. We're shit, lazy and lack heart outside of Mazroui, Amad and maybe one or two others
@@oneaboveall750my thoughts exactly. It's so easy to tell what's our identity and style of play. I don't know why people confuse bad performances/results with this mythical "lack of style of play". I mean, I know one reason, which is repeating what pundits are saying, but I don't understand why this is the narrative that they've chosen to go with, it's honestly idiotic.
@@shaneoconnor8597 Kobbie is not a 6 hes an attacking 8 or a 10 Ten Hag refuses to play to his strengths and hes struggling in the midfield. Casemiro in this united team needs to play with someone next to him like Kobbie they are both not mobile enough to play alone in the 6. Bruno is a problem in the 10 because he loses the ball too much and does not have any defensive discipline. Ugarte is just Fred but worse on the ball and needs to play alongside a ball playing 6 if he is to play. Eriksen is better in the 10 as I believe Kobbie would be to they are not box to box players. We needed to sign 2 midfielders and a ball playing 6 and a destroyer who can also progress the ball efficiently. Ten Hag does not play the right system for players that he has which is why there are holes in the midfield.
People who hate on Steve’s passion arn’t proper supporters let alone Yanited fans… I spend my day watching all things United and Steve has to be one of the realist ones around… some day I’ll catch you for a brew 21 incoming… ETH RED ARMY!! 🇾🇪🇾🇪
We started the season taking half a step forward & then after the Spurs game it was 10 steps back! That's how it feels to me anyway. Nothing but a long win streak until we draw against ManShitty or Arse-nil or the like will do for me now.
People seem to think that INEOS will be embarrassed to sack ETH - after interviewing other candidates, then sticking with him. INEOS didn't appoint him and anyone with experience in venture capital will know that there will be zero sentiment from SJR, zero. I said in January, on here, ETH will be gone by October and I see nought that will change my mind.
If Haag wants to keep the job it’s damage limitation time. Pack the midfield, stop letting busses through and counter attack. That’s all our attackers are good for and our midfield can’t be a 3, they don’t have the legs/speed to cover. I’d go 4-4-1-1
I liked Spurs 4141. Not sure we have the 2 * 8s that Spurs had. Certainly a progressive way of playing. They basically had 5 forward minded players on the pitch.
The 30th outlier of Ten Haags United career 😂 One could say there's more outliers than results that fall in the mean 😂 but that doesn't make sense now does it
You could get prime Fergie back at United right now, and it’s still going to take AT LEAST 5-7 years until we’re competing for league championship again. Players, management, parts of supporter body, are all TOXICALLY reactionary, sometimes even worse than Arsenal supporters. No manager can get this team sorted out any time soon. The only reason I am backing EtH is because he seems to be the ONLY one that is consistent in his demands, assessments and expectations. Not results, not tactics… Pep cannot even come close to winning the league with this team at this state.
People don't understand that the manager doesn't control actions like tackling, tracking back, making the right choices in-game such as passes etc, Whilst he can obviously be criticized, to blame it all on him and call for his sack is uninformed and dumb. I hope the higher-ups are more patient, read more to the performances OVERALL rather than be reactionary as most online "fans" tend to be. Most of the people calling for his sack don't even know who is available to hire and will DEFINITELY make us challenge for the title.
Then he needs to not play the players who aren’t running, tracking, or tackling. Put it this way, Garnacho, Amad and Hojlund should be starting every game. Rashford and Zirkzee haven’t done enough to start. I know that Zirkzee had to play due to Hojlund being injured, but he should take a role on the bench now. The midfield ought to be Ugarte and Mount playing behind Eriksen. Fernandes has been awful, Mainoo looks lost at sea and needs time, and Casemiro should get some game time alongside Ugarte. As for the defence, I think Mazraoui and De Ligt have been mostly good. Martinez is playing awful, and - whilst he’s out of position - Dalot has been terrible too.
He does control all that. I can take you to school on exactly why we can't pass 5 yards or why we lose our duels and it's all because of our setup and the managers instructions.

Comparing Dalot to Luke is horrendous. Dalot is genuinely dreadful. Consistently gives the ball away. Is allergic to overlapping on the left side. Commits countless unnecessary fouls. Never tracks his runner (first goal vs Spurs).
Why can't the club come out and say,Ten hag will stay for the next two years, players can leave if they are not interested. And also releasing Ten hag from the Rashford & Bruno must start,I am 100% sure what ten hag wants,he is forced to start because of repercussions.
Saw somewhere Gary Neville as Valencia cosch had much better Goals and Against than Ten Hag. Plus he wasn't even speaking the same language with the players
This club of ours has swallowed yet another manager up I have no idea who has the balls and the gumption to run this massive club of ours.I feel the end of ten hag is near.
Ten Hag was never really a good fit though. He’s basically a younger Van Gaal. No passion to him. He dominated at Ajax because of the club structure, and was competing in a farmers league.
@@Discombobulate453farmers leagues like the champions league? Come on man. When are you going to realize the club is the problem, rather than the managers we’ve had
The biggest problem for me is the pressing shape. We can say on an individual level, we have good players. We get caught constantly because we are out of shape and losing the ball up high. Dalot getting caught out of position because he's high up the pitch isn't his fault. That's all tactical.
Ste, you’ve just proven my comment on the Stretford Pod. He has plan A only and can’t counter the oppositions counter. Example: When our midfield and fullbacks are high up the pitch and get pressed, why do we insist on trying to thread passes between that press instead of playing over the press? Another example: When our midfield are in possession, what passing structure do we have besides looking for Bruno who gives the ball away so much? The scary thing is he has been here for 3 seasons and we still can’t get things like that right? In the same amount of time, Arteta cleared out his team, brought his players in and is now competing for the league.
One thing that really hurts is that ETH has short vision on recruitment, he only gets Dutch players or certain players he worked with. No. Buy ones who can work for United. Shame that they all gonna blame ETH while players were abysmal again
We should quit worrying and move on and stop looking for big name managers . We have to be a bit ruthless until we find the right person. Our core coaching and structure needs to be top and the managers is the cherry on top .
But I really didn't hear anything about the worry about ten hag ......just more about the players and the signings and the spurs game and the patterns of play
we can keep the sack manager cycle, even every year we can sack manager. long as we have the squad as it is now, the player power, the overpaid "star" players we are not improving. and dont even let me go with the LEGS in midfield, the PACE. horrible
It’s as easy as man marking the 3 midfielders and pressing the cbs into passing the ball back to Onana or just forcing the ball forward to our strikers to get us rattled.
The most frustrating thing is that even though we've beaten any top team with eth, we've not been any better than them even when we've beaten them. But we've been beaten by these teams and a lot of times in the three years with eth. That means he's not up to the mark if we're honest. We're Manchester United! We want to be the team to beat and after three years, he hasn't actually shown us in terms of averages, as a top 4 team.
This is early ineos days where we've bought better players than previously but still getting rid of the negative ones, what part of it takes time do people not get
I think the club are in a tough spot. A choice of the lesser of many evils. Do we continue persevere and hopefully come good? Do we install Ruud and continue with the plan? Do we change tactics? Do we search for a proven premier league winning manager? Do we sound out McKenna? De Zerbi? Do we only buy youngsters from abroad and buy ready made premier league proven players?
We would have a better answer if our manager were somewhat flexible in his formation or ‘style’. I’d love to see how Mazraoui and Dalot would do if they swapped. Since Dalot is clearly being slaughtered out there on the left. I’d love to see a back three with De Ligt, Martinez and Casemiro, with Casemiro stepping into midfield to help Ugarte. I’d love to see a front two of Zirkzee and Hojlund, maybe with Bruno out on the right and Mount behind the strikers. However, we’ll never see any of that, because our manager is too stubborn even in the face of embarrassment and sacking. What he’s doing isn’t working, and he never blames himself.
For me the main problem with ETH is that he isn’t getting the best out of his players. Initially it could be said the players at his disposal did not have the skill sets to play as he wanted. I think this was valid reasoning as he was trying to coach players to play football they were not used to and it would take time with a squad assembled by different managers. Now he has a squad much better suited to the style of play he wants, which for me is way too open given the quality in the league. But I’m not seeing any player really playing at or near their potential, I don’t think any midfield combination has laid a claim to being the starting midfield yet, and I don’t think any forward has played themselves into a guaranteed starter. ETH should be instilling a sense of urgency in these players, nobody seems to want that starting spot enough to be putting in top performances week after week.
*Recruitment vs. coaching* 10:48 _"Recruitment is the #1 important thing"_ When players are performing below their transfer values I question whether it's the fault of recruitment or the fault of the coaching. *Question:* If Man Utd FC were disbanded and the players scattered would they perform better or worse?
This is absolutely the first time I'm genuinely worried about ten hag as our coach, spurs were toying with us, while it was 11 v 11 his tactics genuinely seem waaaay off. I can definitely blame players but it just seems like the setup is wrong
It's a 2 man midfield. They are playing a man down doesn't matter who is in there, re build isn't done to be fair, but the build is enough for top 4, the fact that it is pity now from top 4 sides, when your looking at the fact villa spurs and Newcastle are now our rivals, not city Liverpool and arsenal, even Chelsea seem to have more of an act together
The biggest problem with the team is lack of pace . A team with Eriksen , Casemiro , Maguire , Mainoo , all fine players , but not quick enough . Then when you include Rashford and Garnacho who are generally reluctant to chase back , you are in deep trouble . The Premiership is the quickest league in Europe and the most physically demanding . We have actually looked small in recent games . An example Rashford , Garnacho , Amhad compared to Gakpo , Nunez and Diaz . We only have Hojlund with pace and power . I think Anthony works harder than Garnacho and in a few games Mount showed he was willing to work hard . I was never convinced by Dalot at full back , in fact I'm not sure where he should play . We still have no left back but in my opinion Malacia was not a bad as his critics made him out to be , he was a decent stopgap . The attacks by opposition teams straight down the middle of our team is a huge problem , remember back a while we saw that against Wolves . Our midfield was crucified . It is way too late but I thought we should have kept Amrabat and Sabitzer . McTominay who was getting scores and is big and strong enough should have been kept . This team by it's very makeup will continue to struggle . There is a mountain of work to be done with this team , but , I am really sacred of wht lies ahead . ETH is walking the plank . Very few managers would want to take this squad of players , it really is a bit of a poison chalice . Should also have kept Greenwood .
I disagree with “good” midfield. I would say average, to below. Our forwards, especially the wing play are worse. There are too many things wrong with the club to fix in a short period. Whatever, sack the manager, the problems for the most part will still exist, his role in it will remain to be seen. He did well in his first season, but people forget that. Maybe we get another vibes man in who won’t demand top level conditioning and commitment so people can be home before dark. I still don’t see enough movement out of possession and the movement there is, is pointless. In possession it’s worse. Maybe a new guy has the key to lift the lid on the problems, but it can’t be anyone, and if he has to fit the squad, we still wont be a top 6 team.
ten Hag has assembed an Eredivise team, and honestly, Eredivise players are great. But he has forgotten that this ain't the Eredivise, there are gaping holes in the midfield. He isn't dumb, he is confused. Or maybe he simply doesn't care about how the season goes, and I am not against it. I want ten Hag to get a sample size as big as a whole season. He didn't have that last season (due to injuries), or his first (glazers were at the helm and were trigger happy fools. he had to go to pragmatism). He has proven his abilities as a tactician before, I am sure that at one point, he will hit the jackpot with his tactics. He has earned the right to do that with his previous stint at Ajax. You don't become a fool in a few years. I just hope he adjusts quickly, rather than being stubborn. Or else, he is digging his own grave. All of this applies for this seaosn. At the last leg of the season, regardless of how shite we were before, if our performances are still inconsistent, sack him, if we are mediocre, keep him but don't stop looking for replacements and only give him time till the October/November international break, if we are good, fantastic. We have to get out of the mentality ot "this is Man Utd". Not that we don't want to reach those glory days, but we have to think long term, because this club has been decaying for way too long. Stop thinking about how we can maximise this season, stop caring about top 4 even, think about how we can win the title in 2028, or maybe slightly later. If we sack him, another manager will come, with his own set of tactics, vision, player preferences, etc. If we keep doing the same thing over and over again, it is insanity.
A manager has to manage it is as simple as that ,get the job under control and make his team competitive, I think back him 100% till the end of the season, we had 12 odd yrs sacking managers so giving more time seems logic ,we are building for the future but we need to see something
Sack him, u have to sell his players then buy more. The cycle will reset again. A sixth permanent manager. Such bullshit. U cant sack managers, ineos have to back him and young players are finally developing. There has to be patience. Over the last 10 yrs, weve prioritised players past their prime. Our left side of the pitch gets exposed time and time again because we have no proper leftback!
As a massive ten hag fan and 100% ten hag inner - that was weak. How about his motivational flaws, in game management? There are areas to improve and those should be addressed by building stronger coaching staff and assistants. But they weren't covered
This guy is delusional AF. "Deligt is fantastic signing"? "Martinez is fantastic signing"? "Mazroui is fantastic signing"? When did the standards for fantastic become so low lol? Ruben Diaz is a fantastic signing. Mo Salah is a fantastic signing. Erling Haaland is a fantastic signing. Declan Rice is a fantastic signing. 😂
The issue for me is that his ingame management seems to be inadequate. He makes questionable substitutions, usually too late to have the desired impact. He doesn't seem to be able to make tactical changes on the fly during games. I think this is now translating to a lack of confidence for players when things are not going well. As we all know confidence is an essential ingredient for a good performance. Finally we seem to be incapable of putting our feet on the opposition's neck when we are on top. Last season we couldn't create chances and conceded a lot of shots at goal, now we are creating the the chances but can't put them away and have managed to reduce the number of shots we are conceding.
This guy does not understand football. Setting up the way we do we get destroyed. Outlier? This is literally either lying to the audience or not understanding football at all. Followed for years time to never return to a video.
I don't know a manager without a style of playing. I don't know where people get this "we don't have a style of play!" It's either the style is awful or something else. It just can't be non-existent!
Apparently style of play doesn’t matter for some United fans. They enjoy watching the likes of Coventry fighting back from 3 - 0 down. Some of our fans just seem to be enjoying this pain I guess.
@@tastic212I think either Scholes or Adam Crafton called it "half" and I bet this imbecile is just parroting what he saw either from one of those or from other people who got it from them. Typical for some fans to just repeat the media's narrative as their own.
We conceded 8 goals in EPL this season, 5 goals we conceded because of senior player making individual mistake: maguire 1x, Casemiro 3x, rashford 1x. So we really don't have senior player who capable to hold the team and become the backbone of the team.

The Spurs game has been the rule rather than the exception in his +2 seasons here. Like you said something of a pattern was already developing with our games this season. But then he seemingly abandoned it against Spurs. Out went Eriksen who manages to keep the ball well compared to the other guys in midfield and Amad who actually can receive the ball and knit play. In comes Garnacho and Ugarte who is a younger Casemiro from what I have seen. For me Ugarte should have started alongside Eriksen The lineup dictated that we won't be able to dominate the ball. Eriksen and Amad would have helped us keep the ball better but instead he went with all the options that treats the ball like a hot potato. Garnacho and Rashford won't help with ball retention. So that performance and result is on the manager. He picks a team like he doesn't even understand the strengths and weaknesses of his players and squad. This is why I i want him gone. Jose and Ole use to set us up to maximize our strengths and minimize weaknesses. Erik does the opposite and sets his team up to fail woefully. It's crazy how Amass hasn't got a minute after impressing in preseason. Instead he is overplaying the only fit fullbacks that we have. For me this is bad management and we will keep getting battered with this manager 100%
We have to start looking at the manager. Possibly making it very hard for the midfielders. Casemiro form dropped probably because what ten hag wants can not be done he does not just turn a bad player. 5 champions league. Mainoo this season. Finding it hard. Ugarte trying to cover all the pitch. Erikson best midfielder this season he never started. When ten hag gets it right. like we did against City it works well. 5 Ten hag signings in the team and mainoo and garnacho I would say they are ten hag players. So it is a worry at very least at the lack of progress. My biggest concern is that he seems to have gone back to his first season tactics but losing instead of winning.
ETH CANT MOTIVATE. CARDBOARD CUT OUT ON SIDELINES,, HE PICKS THE SIDE FALL ON HIS OWN SWORD ,, NO DESIRE TO CHANGE PRIORITIES BRUNO RASHFORD ONANA ,LEAVE ASAP
We’re creating more chances than we have in years and more than most in the league, but the chances aren’t finished right now. We’re far less open and don’t allow nearly as many chances as we have in recent years. Teams take their limited chances though. It’s weird but I still think it’s close to being right.
ETH lacks charisma. This translates into the teams performances. He is unable to connect with his own players to consistently get the best out of them. I always felt the Ajax kudos was blown out of proportion. That "was" a well run club with a system and structure that almost guarantees success, in that league. Lastly it is clear to anybody with 2 eyes he is out of his depth in this league. Reminds me of Emery at Arsenal. I think he would do better at a smaller, well run club having learnt his lessons.
@@anthonyguiness9 and the ability to connect with the fans and players. Management is 90% personality 10% tactics. He is unable to get the best out of the players he has.
Seems like the panel agrees Bruno's foul was not even a booking considering rules state reds can not be overturned even if it is deemed the challenge was only worth a booking, so can someone actually state why VAR is there if they can't overturn, rule or send the ref to the monitor when necessary
I except that everything could not have been fixed in one transfer window but there was a lot of ins and outs, what I can’t understand is that we spent a fortune on the defensive element yet it gets cut to ribbons nearly every game, so what exactly have we bought
I am painfully patient. Another two windows now with Ineos influence should set us up for succession, if needed, by January 2026. However, if we lose the next two or three games the fan and media pressure will become impossible to keep ignoring.
You should do a deep dive into Klopp and Arteta's third seasons. They started off badly too. Surely we have to wait untill christmas before we judge this season. 6 league games in just feels abit premature. Ugarte had his first start in the league. I think de Ligt made his 4th start only. There's still so many things that could settles. What can paint this picture better now is if any of the other teams we are competing for CL qualification with starts dropping points. Because alot of these teams will have some tough fixtures coming this autumn.
@@iainsteele5737 Never is a strong word. I would say the setbacks and issues is a fault of a poor recruitment team. We need this season to evaluate ten Hag properly. I believe he should get till christmas. Not just pay 15-20m to release him now when things are still so fresh.
The biggest problems that affect the club moving forward are: (1) ETH is trying to build a system around Bruno, and Bruno himself doesn't understand the system, (2) he gave Bruno the captain's armband because of that system he's trying to build with NO intention on substituting Bruno no matter how bad he's playing, (3) Bruno having NO leadership qualities whatsoever, (4) ETH allows Bruno to do what he feels like every game and nothing is done about it, (5) inform players continue to suffer because of ETH decision not to substitute Bruno, (6) ETH is deluded.
Personally I'm happy to back Erik, because he's only had one shambolic window under a brand new footballing structure that we've not had at the club before. In the past Sir Alex did absolutely everything. But what I can't stand is the amount of vultures making a career in the media off this with lazy journalism... "toxic", "lost the dressing room", "clueless", "style of play", "doesn't know his best 11", "tactically naive"... It's copy and paste stuff every fucking three years and it's all nonsense because each of our managers was sacked for different reasons with different groups of players. The only thing we've not done is let one of them come through a proper rough patch, and for me two trophies in two seasons is enough to let him fix it even if it means allowing our host of new players longer than we expected.
Spurs isn’t an outlier because this result and this performance has been served up under Hag several times during his tenure… Spurs, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Liverpool and City! Absolutely not good enough you can see the players just aren’t having him anymore! Once the dressing room is lost you’ve lost
The players threw two managers under the bus in one season before he arrived. They're now throwing this manager under the bus and not showing up to play, after two seasons of trophies. United need players who want to play, and should be sold if they don't want to.
The issue is that not enough of the players are either at the level, or have the potential to be at the level required. Garnacho, Hojlund and Amad should lead the attack. Rashford needs to go. Antony needs to go. Zirkzee as backup is fine.
The Squad needs to time to gel. How many times do we want to sack a manager in the 2nd 3rd year when we all know the squad needed an overall. Time is the key. It’s been proven time and time again. BACK THE MANAGER
You are a manager - can you tell me why you do not see his tactical inflexibility as an issue??? He sets up his midfield for failure - period. He is asking too much from a midfield… But he does not want to change a single bit.. A slight tweak from opposition manager and boom - he has no answer
34 defeats as Man Utd manager in just over two seasons. Just let that sink in.
I just dont think hes cut out for the premier league at all
@@CraigCairney83 He's broke another record. He's lost more games by 3 or 4 goals than Ole and Mourinho put together.
I knew he wasn't the right man when he started signing all these ex Ajax players. Like Moyes's Fellaini signings but on steroids
It's depressing
I agree. It only takes a new manager weeks to get the basics right with a team and he still hasn’t got that right
Best option is to give ruud the job and get almiron in the summer
he brought in Ajax players, repairing Ajax budget.

At least our board seems somewhat reasonable and realistic at last
If he goes you still can't trust our players
Thanks to his horrific signings
He tucks inside ok and advances the ball ok but his form has been pretty shite, especially against Southampton and spurs, he’s made many errors
So this ain’t a full squad
Not to mention the inexperience of the front men
Not only that Dalot is a right back playing a left back.
Oh stfu seriously, United fans are so full of shit.
We're missing one left back (who is ALWAYS injured) so it's not his fault that we are shit.
😂
if we are that bad because of one left back then he absolutely needs sacked
@@iainsteele5737 that’s not the point I’m making just that it’s a factor you cannot say doesn’t exist as Ste basically just did. There’s enough cumulative issues at the moment to be able to say without question that the coach is the problem.. it’s too soon for me, I’ve seen enough change
We need proper wingers

Absolutely spot on.
I remember Alex Ferguson did not WIN anything in first 5 years.
RW for rotation with Diallo, another CM, but the priority is a LB. We need to get rid of Luke Shaw, dunno what's with Malacia after his 1 year long injury. We need a starting left back that can start 80% of the league matches.

Are you for real mount is shocking we get more players like him we will be relegated
We need more players that are never available and okay premier league players at best?

No manager can get this team sorted out any time soon. The only reason I am backing EtH is because he seems to be the ONLY one that is consistent in his demands, assessments and expectations. Not results, not tactics…
Pep cannot even come close to winning the league with this team at this state.
The only thing consistent about ten hag is how easy we are to play against
Who is talking about winning the league. We just want to fight for top 4. The way we're going now we'll be fighting to avoid relegation
Your words are mint. All these so call pundits with toxicity in their minds will blindfold their ability to analyze issues. Ten Hag out has been the agenda but it never happened. Ten hag has lost by 3 goals 25 times or more its the norm
Comparing Dalot to Luke is horrendous. Dalot is genuinely dreadful. Consistently gives the ball away. Is allergic to overlapping on the left side. Commits countless unnecessary fouls. Never tracks his runner (first goal vs Spurs).
isnt a left back
You should be blaming Shaw and Malacia, it's not Dalot's fault he has to play a different position and never gets a rest.
Dalot is a bad footballer but gets lots of credit cause he was "united best player last season" yeah our worst ever season since united exist lol
The way these people suck up to ten hag is sad him and mark do it’s so much it’s starting to hurt
I thought this was a video about the case against 10Hag...it sounded more like a defence to me
We definitely have a style of play i call it shit football
The personal you had before to get it right your 13th 😂😂
Not a fan of sacking managers, never wanted Ole to go and I don’t want Ten Hag to go. Success takes time and being patient is the key.
Thomas Frank is the man for Manchester United. The way Brentford outplayed City a few weeks ago was fantastic. Great character and tactician.
We should quit worrying and move on and stop looking for big name managers . We have to be a bit ruthless until we find the right person. Our core coaching and structure needs to be top and the managers is the cherry on top .
But I really didn't hear anything about the worry about ten hag ......just more about the players and the signings and the spurs game and the patterns of play
we can keep the sack manager cycle, even every year we can sack manager. long as we have the squad as it is now, the player power, the overpaid "star" players we are not improving. and dont even let me go with the LEGS in midfield, the PACE. horrible
What midfield? We play 4-2-4 and still fail to score enough goals. Rashford and Garnacho are not midfielders
The style of play argument is so frustrating and it's a media favourite. Chris Sutton has Been going in strong on us this week
*Recruitment vs. coaching*
10:48 _"Recruitment is the #1 important thing"_
When players are performing below their transfer values I question whether it's the fault of recruitment or the fault of the coaching.
*Question:* If Man Utd FC were disbanded and the players scattered would they perform better or worse?
Jadon Sancho is an example
His time is over, the patience is gone. We haven't progressed, Ole finished second and third, we've massively regressed.
We havnt regressed since Ole, just stayed exactly the same stuck in time, whilst others around got better. Villa, spurs, newcastle etc
Ole fans have short memories,we didn't finish 3rd under ole,his last season we finish 6th withh Ronaldo in the team
@miloveshredding41 OK well you're still nitpicking. 6th is still higher than 8th
@@ColmPadraig u comparing 2 dog sh*t and you think one is better?
A team with Eriksen , Casemiro , Maguire ,
Mainoo , all fine players , but not quick enough . Then when you include Rashford and Garnacho who
are generally reluctant to chase back , you are in deep trouble . This team
by it's very makeup will continue to struggle . There is a mountain of work to be done with this team ,
but , I am really sacred of wht lies ahead .
Last week of Ten Hag era 😍😍
You can't dismiss the style of play argument when he has been here for 2 and half years
Where is the half year coming from?
@tastic212 kehita says its 2.5 year, then it is 2.5 years dont you dare bring logics here
I don't know a manager without a style of playing. I don't know where people get this "we don't have a style of play!"
It's either the style is awful or something else.

Inzaghi be actually great fit for us
Inzaghi is the most appropriate replacement for ten Hag.
@koushikvenkat8205 we'll never win anything with izaghi, want to park the bus and hope for a miracle might as well bring south gate in
@@miloveshredding41 It isn't park the bus football. or else he wouldn't avg 2 goals a game in the bloody Italian league.
@@lmaomoofeq 2 goals a game in a slow Italian league is nothing .
For me Ugarte should have started alongside Eriksen
The lineup dictated that we won't be able to dominate the ball.
So ten Hag needs a more cohesive team above him- good analysis
@@anthonyguiness9 and the ability to connect with the fans and players. Management is 90% personality 10% tactics. He is unable to get the best out of the players he has.
This was supposed to be your "anti" EtH post, sounds like a fucking advert 🤣🤣🤣
The rest is gravy!
He is a walking contradiction
Seems like the panel agrees Bruno's foul was not even a booking considering rules state reds can not be overturned even if it is deemed the challenge was only worth a booking, so can someone actually state why VAR is there if they can't overturn, rule or send the ref to the monitor when necessary
I except that everything could not have been fixed in one transfer window but there was a lot of ins and outs, what I can’t understand is that we spent a fortune on the defensive element yet it gets cut to ribbons nearly every game, so what exactly have we bought
I think you give him until Xmas at minimum - possibly the end of the year. If not, we get stuck in this interim manager BS.
Allways find a way to support this manager 😅
A GOOD premier league midfield 🙄 yeah Howson knows ball
Comparing to that Spurs side? Really? Werent they also title challengers for 2 seasons and also reached a UCL final?
3-0 up against Coventry, and VAR saved us and his job . He is absolutely useless 🤡
Bring in Xabi Alonso😂😂 if he agrees
Because alot of these teams will have some tough fixtures coming this autumn.
except they both showed promising signs in the first two seasons and we never have
@@iainsteele5737 Never is a strong word. I would say the setbacks and issues is a fault of a poor recruitment team. We need this season to evaluate ten Hag properly. I believe he should get till christmas. Not just pay 15-20m to release him now when things are still so fresh.
“Irrelevant”, “outlier”
Howson you’re in denial
7.55, some of the batterings could have been much worse. Where the other team have taken the foot off the gas
It's the hardest job on the planet. As it looks. Not everyone has it in them to do it on the biggest stage there is.
You are a manager - can you tell me why you do not see his tactical inflexibility as an issue??? He sets up his midfield for failure - period. He is asking too much from a midfield… But he does not want to change a single bit.. A slight tweak from opposition manager and boom - he has no answer
We will get ETH's one tactical change this week. He will play without a no9. Worked for 4 games last year.
What worries me is we can see the 4 attackers looking around at each other constantly when trying to press.
