We are using a BRX PLC in this application however you can also use the Do-More Simulator which comes with the Do-More Designer Software. support.automationdirect.com/products/domore.html Regards, Garry
Hi Daniel, accautomation.ca/plc-programming-example-sorting-station-shift-register/ The above website write up will explain the connection to Factory IO. We are using a Modbus TCP Cient (Master) from Factory IO. This communicates to our BRX TCP Server (Slave). Under the configuration tab of the BRX you will see the IP address. Make sure this matches under the Driver of the Factory IO. The memory for Modbus is already assigned by the BRX. Here is another sample of using Factory IO. accautomation.ca/plc-programming-example-pick-and-place/ Hope this helps you out. Let me know. Regards, Garry
This post uses Modbus TCP with an EasyPLC machine simulator. Here is a post showing how to connect a Click using Modbus TCP to Factory IO. This is an older version of Factory IO, but you should be able to reference the same steps. accautomation.ca/click-plc-pid-using-factory-io/ I hope this helps you out. Regards, Garry
Hi Kenneth, I have not programmed with Siemens TIA Portal. However, the following video may help you out with rotate and shift instructions in TIA Portal. th-cam.com/video/dsK13nqiQuo/w-d-xo.html Regards, Garry
Hi Rajav, In Studio 5000 you would use the Bit Shift Left instruction. Here is a video demonstrating this instruction. th-cam.com/video/thIzE957Sfs/w-d-xo.html The programmed used is EasyPLC. Here is a link to this series. accautomation.ca/series/easyplc-software-suite/ I hope this helps you out. Regards, Garry
EasyPLC Software Suite is a complete PLC, HMI, and Machine Simulator Software package. This is an easier and more powerful package than Factory IO and the investment is low. This PLC learning package includes the following: Easy PLC - PLC Simulation that will allow programming in Ladder, Grafcet, Logic Blocks, or Script. HMI System - Easily create a visual human-machine interface (HMI), Machine Simulator - A virtual 3D world with real-time graphics and physical properties. PLC programs can be tested using the EasyPLC or through other interfaces. (Modbus RTU, TCP, etc.) Machine Simulator Lite - Designed to run on Android Devices. Machine Simulator VR - Virtual Reality comes to life so you can test, train or practice your PLC programming. Purchase your copy of this learning package for less than $75 USD for a single computer install, or less than $100 USD to allow different computers. @@ACCautomation thank you very much. My problem is you can only use D word 32 bit. I think the last bomber you use. That Not enough
@@kennethkristensen5537
You should be able to string the shifts together. The last bit of one will trigger the input of the next.

Garry
