I honestly like the All Star/Pop Century hotels because they "feel" Disney! Plus, when you spend most of your days at the parks, why spend so much for a resort? (just my opinion)
So true. I’ve stayed at many of the resorts over time. But I keep coming back to Pop Century. It’s design and feel gives it a sense that’s it an extension of the parks rather than just a hotel
Literally my family opinion too. We really like all stars and for what we need it for it’s perfect. We’re often out early and back late so just require a comfy bed, nice shower and decent enough breakfast. The staff are always great and the hotel just gives off great Disney vibes
All-Star Music is our go-to Resort. For the small amount of time we actually spend in the room, it is perfect. That being said, the rooms are always clean, tidy and the staff are wonderful! We have never had bussing issues. We have stayed outside the resort areas, but feel like we're missing out on that Disney feeling. Worth it to be in the Disney bubble.
As a band mom…I’ve stayed at AS Music A LOT and love it! Yes…the transportation isn’t always the fastest and it’s not fancy, but they have some of the best customer service we’ve had at any on property there. Maybe bc they service sooo many people everyday. If you’re a park & crash person…we LOVE these resorts
I stayed at All-Star Movies last year, and I had a great time. They're well located, and if you want a different food option instead of the resort food courts, there's a McDonald's straight down the street from all three All-Star Resorts.
In the early thousands the Sussex stopped at each of the 3 Motel Resorts in order which ment that the bus to the parks could fill on the 1st resort & then the 2nd, so the people at the 3rd couldn't get to Blizzard Beach before they were maxed out! Now each resort gets it's own morning busses.
We stayed at Art of Animation a few weeks ago for our trip. We loved it! However, we were in the Little Mermaid Standard Rooms, which did put us a little farther away from the main building, but it was worth it for the Skyliner and pool and laundry access! Plus, the staff were amazing.
My son's 5 and 8 are very excited to be staying at the all star sports this year!. Me and my wife have stayed at most of the Disney resorts over the last several years but the all stars and pop are favorites for kids because of the atmosphere, not to mention saving lots of money towards the parks, food, etc
All star resorts are equivalent to motels... still cleaner than your run of the mill motel because Mickey don't play that but it's a great reasonable choice to get a full experience of the disney bubble at the lowest rate they'll offer.
Before Covid, me and my boyfriend had a 3 night stay at All Star Movies. We had the Love Bug section. I love to find the good in any bad situation. I love Herbie!
My family maximizes our time at the parks, so the hotel is just a sleep & shower place. We have always had great experiences with transportation. Food court is great for a quick breakfast or snack. We will always stay Value.
When i stayed at All Star Movies, I was in a Mighty Ducks room that was actually closer (according to the cast member who checked me in) to the bus stops for All Star Music. The time difference was negligable, but it did come in handy when catching the bus from MK. The line for Movies was stuffed. The line for Music was light. No brainer.
If you are doing parks all day, the values are great. My only complaint is not having a microwave. Even cheap roadside motels have microwaves. On rainy days that I don't go to the park, I don't want to have to go out to the food court to heat up leftovers and then walk back in the rain. Plus then the food is cold by time I get it back to the room.
We have two college aged sons, and we love the family suites at All Star Music. We’ve stayed in those three times, and they’re super convenient in that each of our sons gets a queen size bed and my wife and I get a queen size bed. We stayed at Boardwalk Inn a couple of summers ago, with two queen beds and the pull down couch/bed. Not nearly as comfortable as All Star Music. One bathroom for four people isn’t nearly as nice as our sons having a separate bathroom from my wife and me in the All Star Music family suite.
Stayed here for the first time in April. It’s the most fun my 11 year old has had at a Disney resort. We’ve done AKL with savanna views, yacht club and a couple of other deluxe resorts and he didn’t really care. He LOVED this place. Honestly it’s fine. The food is fine. The theming is fine. And we didn’t get extended evening hours but my kid is asleep by 9pm when we go to Disney because he’s exhausted. I do prefer pop century but sometimes an extra 80 dollars a night for the Skyliner just doesn’t make sense.
We just got back from our Disney trip a week ago and we loved All Star Movies! We stayed there for 6days and absolutely loved it. I told my travel agent that i just wanted somewhere to sleep. And this was perfect! We only had one day to explore the resort and swim in the pools and it was great! The staff there was great too! I really don’t see the point staying in more expensive resorts if your not even here half the time! We were at Disney springs and the parks way more! Definitely recommend this resort!
Love the all Star resorts. Cute, clean rooms, great beds and very fun atmosphere! Never had a bad time at one of these. Staff is always friendly and super helpful. So worth it to stay on property both for the immersion and how quickly you get to that lovely bed at the end of a long Disney day😊
We usually stay at All Star Sports. We spend our time in the parks, not the hotel. The rooms are up-to-date & very clean. The people that work there are all very nice & extremely helpful. We stayed at Pop Century when it first opened & had a great experience. We thought it was supposed to be another value resort, but it is a moderate now.
About to try Pop again for the first time with the skyline. Loved both pop and Sports equally before. We are also a parks focused group so the values always seem as good as anything else for us. Heck, as nice as Floridian is I honestly would rather fly to Orlando in business class and stay at the values over staying at a deluxe.
Thank you!!!! I leave at 3am get there at 6am, wait till gift shop/cafeteria opens eat with my daughter boom right on bus and we don’t get back to room until after fireworks, I’ll pay the sub $200 per night price tag thank you very much , I’m two weeks it will be my third time doing that, and honestly the rooms are nice!!!!
I stayed in all star music in April. No complaints at all. Transportation was great. The bus got us and went straight to the park. Both morning and afternoon. I was happy with the food. Delicious every time. I stayed in calypso bldg and asked for the middle or back of the bldg. I got the back. Didn't hear the pool area at all when in my room. I will stay in Music again for sure😊
We stayed at the all stars, LOVED IT. Ours had a sky liner which was a game changer, and we loved it. I’ll say we definitely cared more about park days then hotel days (we scheduled none) so there’s that, if u wanted to ahve a hotel day tho, the pools were awesome!
Stayed at All Star Music. Nice hotel within the Disney bubble for the most affordable price. If you’re going to the parks open until close and just after a place to sleep it’s great. Had a couple of pool evenings myself when I’d overdone it at the parks
the last time we went, we chose an art of animation little mermaid room instead of one of the all-star resorts for the location on the skyliner. it was worth the extra cost to us. it was different at that time (march 2021): the pools and pool food bars weren’t open, etc., but we were still surprised at the lack of quality food at the quick service location. we are disneyland people, so we don’t get to wdw much, but the next time we head east, the availability of food will be a big consideration. we do spend the majority of our time at the parks, but it’s still nice to have a few options onsite in case you need a late night snack. still, we would consider an all-star hotel in future to keep costs down.
We’ve stayed at pop century many times. They have a great food court. The rooms are small if you are more than just two people staying. The highest floor was definitely the best to avoid noise from others around you.
It’s really convenient if you’re planning on going to Epcot and Hollywood but otherwise it honestly is not all that different from the rooms in All-Star from my experience. Still really convenient for those two parks if you’re planning on them!
I love all hotel reviews stayed at grand floridian carribiean and port Orleans Riverside. I'd love to see a review on luxury stays like four seasons and waldorf and cheap stays in town without Disney options and are all those worth it
Every time I've gone since 2001 through 2019, I've stayed at an All Star Motel Resort. Now I'm looking to stay at Pop Century Motel Resort do to the Gondola. All I do is sleep & pool, so it was good for us. The walk to the transit was no longer than walking in the park.
The All-Star Resorts are worth it (even if you don't have young children)! For someone who is all about the theme park rides, I prefer to spend the money I save on Genie +, Lightening Lanes, and theme park food. The complimentary bus transportation is very convenient (unlike the Good Neighbor Hotels), the beds are very comfortable, and the early park admission is an added (and essential in my opinion) benefit. I would recommend getting a preferred room, so you don't have to walk miles to the busses. My only complaint is the "deli-style" refrigerators. The shallow shelves will not hold much at all and they don't keep food/drinks very cold. We keep a cooler of ice in the room.
The resorts are nice for a place to sleep but sometimes the buses were an issue, having to wait on several due to them being full since they service all 3 resorts!! We rarely stay in the resort during our stay so AllStar Resorts were perfect for us, until we found Pop Century and AofA and the Skyliner!!
I’ve stayed at a few Disney hotels. Port Orléans Riverside and French Quarter, Caribbean Beach, and Pop Century. I have been told by people staying at the All Stars that they can be noisy. They’re the party hotels. Though, if you’re saving on the room, nothing wrong with exploring the other hotels. 😁 I’ve had fun doing just that all day.
I’ve stayed at movies before, but only if I have a car rental. AOA suites are not cheap, but my husband and son LOVED our Cars suite, and hubby only wants to stay there from now on. 🤦🏼♀️😂
I do appreciate the organized queues at the bus stop, one for each park. At most other resort hotels, the bus stops can be a bit disorderly - guests who just wander up as a bus arrives, inadvertently or not, cut in front of others who have been waiting. The downside of the setup at All Star resort hotels, however, is the queues are completely uncovered and exposed to the elements (no small consideration in the often hellish weather).
The “vibe” at the All Stars resorts is fantastic; friendly and high energy!! The service from the Cast Members is fantastic, proving them to be All Stars themselves!! If price point is your primary concern, you can only beat the All Stars by finding someplace "off property" (but be sure to check out guest reviews because you often get what you pay for or not when outside the “Disney bubble.” The one big drawback is timing of competitions and festivals that may pull in large school groups as this is where they typically will stay.
Stayed in all-star movies June 2022 and it was great. Stayed in the fanatsia 2000 room area. My kids loved the pool area and all the statues/fixtures even though they didn't know the movies(10 and 6 at the time of travel). Had a rental to get to parks/airport and it was amazing not far from any park, took less than 10 mins to get to Magic Kingdom. Highly recommend to anyone with kids and just looking to be in the disney bubble.
I really liked All-Star but I'm a solo adult traveler and don't need a lot of activity and stimulation at the hotel. I did dodge the bullet as the national cheerleading championship wound down the day before I got there. They were checking out as I was checking in so I'm never staying at All Star again without first checking if there are going to be any bands or groups like that. If there aren't any big things like that, I will definitely stay again.
When I originally booked our August vacation, I put us in a suite at art of animation, because my best friend was coming with her family… After doing some research, a First downgraded to the suites at art of music… then decided the fourth bed was more important and downgraded to two regular rooms I thought resort and saved $3K… and considering we do not spend a lot of time at the resort, I would rather spend that money on flight, genie plus an extra experiences…
Stayed at the All Star Sports right after it reopened after Covid, basically under duress. I based the decision entirely on price. If I could have afforded more, I would have stayed just about anywhere else on property. I found myself very pleasantly surprised. The resort was clean and fun. The cast members there ALL went way out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The bus transportation was reliable and convenient. You just have to be realistic about it and give yourself enough time to get where you’re going. It had the Disney bubble vibe. Not fancy, but I’m not an ostentatious person. I admit, on a larger budget I’d rather stay elsewhere, like Port Orleans Riverside or The Polynesian. But on a (relative) budget, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I Love the All stars! All star music will always be a nostalgic favorite for me, as it was the first Disney hotel I ever stayed in... But their existence makes it possible for us to go to Disney World much more often than we could otherwise.
@@Jabroniville It depends on the time of the year .If it is slow season the rates are closer. Yes - they will be more expensive still but the rooms are far superior too.
All Star Sports was my family’s very first resort at WDW and it was its second week open! We absolutely loved it bc we spent sun up to sun down at the parks and rooms were only a place to sleep and maybe once or twice to eat. however as we got older and stayed for our honeymoon at Yacht Club and then at Beach Club it’s ruined other resorts for us. We tried AoA when we took our daughter but being also 7mo pregnant trying to get on and off those beds was horrible and we ended up switching. We also love to go back to the resort mid day for breaks and have resort days built in so BC will forever be our home ❤
I've stayed at all 3 before and have stayed at All Star Movies and Music since they have been refurbished. My pick is Movies. We stayed in 101 Dalmations and it was a Preferred room and so close to the lobby and buses. It'll remain my pick of the value resorts. The only reason we haven't tried Pop and Art is because Pop seems to be a duplicate of the refurbished Allstar rooms and I actually hate the skyliner although my son loves it but I may cave just once to have the Art of Animation experience. I recommend traveling at Christmas as in the summer we ran into so many groups of teen school organizations. I myself have even stayed there with a school organization when I was a teen during the summer but at Christmas its more of a family environment.
We have stayed at many resorts around Disney from All-Star to Coronado Springs to Camp Wilderness and honestly I prefer the theming of the value resorts the most. Some of the more fancy resorts are nice but they don't give me that Disney feel I prefer.
Thanks for the info!!! do you have any video that talks about close NON disney hotels (marriots, inn, etc) that are cheaper than this ones (I bet they are) and which ones may have transportation to disney, complementary breakfast, etc? thanks!
Absolutely worth the money to stay on any value or moderate resort property with free travel to all parks and early entry to parks. Deluxe property are over rated imo unless you plan on not visiting parks and just want to stay at Disney to enjoy the property and what the hotel has to offer including dining. I have never had a bad experience at any Disney property and feel like the cast members are more friendly then most hotels in general
BAD STORY AHEAD - I have just returned home from staying at Music. I am never one to complain, especially when it comes to Disney. I’ve not been to Disney World in 9 years. Usually me and my family ALWAYS stay at All Star Movies resort. However, this time I was only able to book Music. Fine, didn’t think it would be any different. Safe to say my stay there was awful. First of all, the bathroom wasn’t clean to my standards. Also by the time I had finished unpacking, the bottom of my feet were BLACK. I was repulsed. But I didn’t say a thing, just told my daughter we have to now wear our socks inside at all times now. Housekeeping only came every other day, & our hotel room slowly deteriorated from then on…. They would only come in to make the bed, & put more towels out for us. Not once during my 16 night stay did they clean the sink, clean the bath tub, clean anything. By the end of the holiday, I had finally had ENOUGH as the floor by the end of the holiday was literally turning black in the bathroom and vanity area…. I felt so filthy living there. I went to the laundrette 3 times and our socks were permanently forever black. I had to go to the front desk and complain, and get them in the room to properly clean my room out. As I say, I NEVER complain. But I really was pushed to the brink at this hotel. I like to feel clean. And I felt so dirty whenever in that room or in the bathroom especially. Also, side note…. A gold necklace magically disappeared when I went swimming on day 4 and the cleaners had just been. NEVER to be seen again the entire holiday. Again…. Even that didn’t make me go to front desk. Confrontation makes me VERY anxious…. I hate it. At all costs. But like I said. Near the end of the trip, I just HAD enough. Safe to say it’s made me realise I need to go Moderate for next year. No regrets in that decision…. All Star Music made my experience really bad. And not just for me, a couple I met down there had similar views! Also, some of the restaurants staff are SO UNBELIEVABLY RUDE & look like you’ve just made their day 100x worse just for asking for a meal…. They look at you like you’re a literal POS and slap it on your tray then say “next” …. Some of them was BEYOND rude and awkward. Gone so downhill from 9 years ago it’s crazy (there was so much more I could say but i’ve cut it down EXTREMELY short… i tried my best to just get to the point, but there’s sooo much more else I could say here)
My first three visits to Disney World, in the 1980’s, I was with other people and stayed off-site. In September 2004, after I had been through hell and back in my life, I decided to go back on my own, and I stayed at All-Star Music, choosing what was supposed to be a quiet area in the back of the hotel but not over the bus parking lots (which, at least at that time), started their day very early in the day in a very noisy way. Well, the rooms opened onto an outdoor corridor like a typical motel, and that corridor got very, very noisy at night with young people hanging around right outside my door after their return from the parks. This really, really bothered me. Otherwise, the All-Star Music resort seemed fine - until I started staying at moderate resorts.
I have not stayed at All Star resorts in over 15 years. The one issue I had with the Bus service to the parks is the capacity. There are 3 All Star hotels in a row. The Buses followed the same rout. Stopping at the first hotel then then next. Many times the bus fill up at the first stop and never had enough room for the other two stops. I had the middle resort hotel so walked over to the first hotel to catch the bus. Not sure if they every resolved this issue.
I stayed at all star sports Oct 2022. At least in the morning and evening the bus filled up at our resort and took us to the park. All the drop off locations had a bus parking space for each resort. It might still share a bus mid-day though.
I’m a competitive cheerleader, and we always go to the all-star hotels plus when we go to competition Disney provides buses for cheerleader, coaches, and viewers to the ESPN Center where you compete!
I stayed at Pop and the Polynesian. While the Poly has my heart since I first stayed in 1988 I found the value resort like Pop as a good resort. Granted it isnt aesthetically pleasing it still provided a room for me to stay in. I am staying at All Star Movies next.
Thank you for posting this!! Planning my second ever Disney vacation (first time was in 2014) and first time I will be staying on resort! I always thought Disney World's "budget" hotels were like, $300+ a night. Glad that they are offering actual budget options
I was originally going to pick Pop Century for my Disney Trip next spring. But now I think I’m going to chose the All Star Movie Resort since it’s been renovated to look just like pop century. Plus it’s about $50 cheaper per night. The skylines are nice at Pop century but it only goes to the 2 theme parks I’m not interested in. This will be my first time going to Disney World. I’m doing 5 Nights & 2 theme parks days. ❤
We typically stay at deluxe resorts due to location, but recently tried All Star Sports because of a great price. In some ways I actually prefer the value resorts, but the horrible mattress killed the experience. Back pain from the bad mattress ruined my time in the parks.
I've been surprised by how much I like the food at the value resort food courts. I've been to All-Star Music and Pop Century and they had basically the same things, but their overnight oats were to DIE for and I went back for a second turkey pesto sandwich. It's not haute cuisine but it definitely still tastes good. My first day at Music I got a ratatouille over polenta that was really tasty!
While the All Star resorts are good value in terms of Disney, you have to be OK with them being very basic. The pools are nice, the staff are nice, the quick service food offerings are not bad at all. But the rooms are small, think around 30% to 40% smaller than an average say Hampton Inn. Unless you are on a very tight budget, it would be better to choose two rooms for a family of four. Also, Pop Century rooms are pretty much the same rooms.
These hotels are good if you spend most of your time in the parks. Absolutely no major complaints. The food is ok but I feel like it is limited in healthy options. The pools are meh but then again it depends on how much time you plan to stay in the hotel.
I grew up staying at all-star sports with my grandparents so that resort is nostalgic for me. My husband and I don’t care for sports now though so our go tos are music or movies.
I've stayed at the all stars for years. Since I was a kid I've always enjoyed them. Rooms are basic but the outside theming is awesome. After all that's what Disney is all about.
Ive been to sports and music, I prefer music rather than sports. Its quieter, theres less people which means less crowds and its also way cleaner. The food court in Sports was kind of dirty.
I always went to Sports when I started going solo but have since started staying at POP but as others have said for just a place to crash after spending the day at the parks they are perfect
I actually prefer to stay at All Stars Movies over any of the more expensive options in Disney. Sure I don’t get the after hours entry but I still get the benefits of the bus and early entry. The rooms are comfortable, and that’s more than enough for me. Went there last trip and had a great time even for the budget pricing!
I honestly liked All Star Movies a bunch- I'd stayed away from the All Stars because guidebooks were always far more gaga over Pop & AoA, which were only slightly more expensive, but now those prices are climbing higher and higher ("justified" by the Skyliner). And when I went to ASM, I was shocked to find it more or less a "clone" of those resorts with similar giant statues, room sizes, and layouts. So it's a pretty big advantage to get a cheaper resort.
I like pop century. I spend around 280 nights a year in a hotel, and it is fine. The room is clean, the staff friendly and the bud and skylines is fine. If you stay in the room a lot I could see wanting more. If you are a park person these are fine.
i personally like the all star line of hotels. the rooms are nice and modern (i still remember when it was just 2 beds, carpeted floor, awkwardly placed table with equally awkwardly place chair, curtains to separate the area with the sink to the rest of the room) and the dinner hall, shop and arcade are quaint, comfy spaces (though they did get rid of the mario kart machines in all of the arcades, so there's that) one negative i have is that when we stayed at all star movies this last february, the room service was bad. they constantly kept raising the bed back to the wall every other night (so we had to lower it each time while we were already tired from our day at the parks), they kept taking away pillows, toilet paper and towels even though we were 3 adults in the room everytime and they'd only put enough coffee and cups for the machine in the room for just 2 people. we had to call the front desk every other night because of this and by the end they just gave us a large plastic bag filled with towels and toilet paper. felt kinda disrespectful ngl
I've stayed at the All Star resorts twice and was very satisfied with them both times. My only "gripe" is that there is only the food court option for dining. Knew that was the case going in, so it was not a shock, but would love to see them expand the options for food. Either add more variety, or maybe a casual dining type place (or 2) between the resort lobby buildings (1 between Sports and Music, and another between Music and Movies).
Here is another “pro”: According to the Disney website, the All Star resorts are only one of two resorts that have a bus directly to Blizzard Beach water park. Coronado Springs is the other resort that has a direct bus. From any other resort, one must first bus to Animal Kingdom theme park and transfer to another bus from there.
The all stars (and Pop) are cleaner and nicer than any other cheap hotel I’ve ever stayed in. My kids absolutely love the theming (As do my husband and I)!
If you are not taking a Disney Bus, plan to get to Port Canaveral EARLY, i.e. 2 hours or more before departure! Then if something goes wrong, you still have a good chance of getting on the ship. Also there are checkin/processing things you need to do there regardless of what you've done in advance. The check-in people are great but you need to give them time to do what is needed. If you take a Disney Cruise Line bus, you are guaranteed the ship will not leave without you!
YES. For many reasons but my main three are 1) the bus service organisation here are the best on any disney property. 2) they do exactly what they say on the tin andkeep you in the Disney bubble. With nice clean rooms, spacious food courts and pools. 3) unlike most resorts on disney regardless of where you're placed on the resort you're not going to be ridiculously far out. I've hated it when we've stayed at coranado and Riverside where its got multiple bus drop off points and you're stuck miles out People who insult the all stars in my opinion come under the bracket of a Disney snob. We like to be able to have the option to stay on disney property without having to pay a fortune for it, especially when you can freely visit and eat at all the other properties without the need to stay there. A rooms a room at the end of the day.
We loved the Destino tower, but the bus situation ruined the experience for us. Given we are Parks and passout type DISnerds, I'll take a no frills experience with the Skyliner or dedicated bussing over swanky digs and a frustrating transportation situation any day.
I’ve stayed at All Star Movies and thought it was adorable. Too many of the hotels on Disney property are “mature” and don’t focus enough on the characters. We personally love the Toy Story area of All Star Movies.
I went to the all star movies and it was definitely a 3 star hotel alright, everything was great except for the bed which felt like solid rock after a few days especially after epcot day (day 3)
ALL Star I stayed 2 times back in 94 and 95 nice place but it more for young Kids and Teens but over all Disney was Great . next time may stay at more of Adult Hotel.
I love the value resorts, I've stayed at ASMusic more than any other resort. It was the place I stayed on my first visit Jan 2005. It's clean, decent bussing (better than the mods where I've had issues at every one) and feels like Disney. Unfortunately with the cdn dollar being what it is and the prices are no where as cheap as they used to be ($77/night!!) I can't afford even the values for my solo trips these days. But when I travel with a friend we stay on property. ASMovies has kinda been ruined for me, I stayed there with my ex right before the pandemic, so I don't really want to stay there every again.
Can't believe anyone would think the decor is lame! D: especially considering they feel so perfectly Disney and fun!! I loved the all star movie resort and will def be back. I can't imagine being in just a "regular degular" hotel for my Disney stayyyy
We always stay at all stars! Best Hotels for the price.
I love the all-star resorts! I have stayed at other Disney hotels in the other categories but all-star is where it’s at
I agree! We stayed at other resorts and this was my kids favorite hotel. They loved the pool and the food selection. Kids are simple!
Really? This is good to know! Taking all the tips for my next WDW trip 🤭

@@AmandaMaguire-hq4fk I didn't know that, thank you
We have two college aged sons, and we love the family suites at All Star Music.
I’ve only stayed at All Star Sports so far (because it’s the least expensive!) but I really loved it. I’d totally stay there again.
Pop is still a value, but very beloved by many Disney fans. ❤
@@JDavidJarrett when are you going I’ll be there on the 17 of June
@@ThePrincessandtheDad leaving just before you go. I will try to leave it nice for you 😂
I stayed in all star music in April.
I'd pay a little more for Pop Century; also new re modeled rooms, and the Skyliner is a real massive plus.
I stayed at Pop Century for way less x night than the All Stars… do not know if it is normal, but it was a great deal. In January.
One more HUGE plus to the All Star Music family suites versus Art of Animation - full size refrigerator with freezer!
When I originally booked our August vacation, I put us in a suite at art of animation, because my best friend was coming with her family…
After doing some research, a First downgraded to the suites at art of music… then decided the fourth bed was more important and downgraded to two regular rooms I thought resort and saved $3K… and considering we do not spend a lot of time at the resort, I would rather spend that money on flight, genie plus an extra experiences…
I grew up staying at Shades of Green and All star Sports. My family are Sports buffs, so we loved looking for our TEAM FLAGS. GEAUX TIGERS & SAINTS
I still think you should consider the Swan or Dolphin where the rooms can be close to these prices but they offer far better amenities.
Are they that close? Every time I checked they were at least $100 a night more.
Spent last week at the contemporary in the garden wing, our favorite spot!
My senior class stayed at all star movies during our senior trip in 2013. I plan on using the all star resorts for all future trips.
BAD STORY AHEAD -
I have just returned home from staying at Music. Gone so downhill from 9 years ago it’s crazy
(there was so much more I could say but i’ve cut it down EXTREMELY short… i tried my best to just get to the point, but there’s sooo much more else I could say here)
My first three visits to Disney World, in the 1980’s, I was with other people and stayed off-site.
We stayed at Mighty Ducks. It was the clossed room to music. So we had a prefered room to music. Close by the busstop. And foodcourt.
In my experience the cheapest way to stay on property is camping at Fort Wilderness. Get you a tent and go camping!
AS Movies is my second home. I love it so much, I stay a few times a year! Solo and in group. Staying at Music suites in January
I can’t wait to stay here. Me and my family stayed at the art of animation last year. It was wonderful. I can’t wait to experience this resort.
We’re staying in Movies in August- and specifically for Winner’s Circle ❤
As a kid i rather have this which has really interesting themes rather than other activities or modern
I grew up staying at all-star sports with my grandparents so that resort is nostalgic for me. My husband and I don’t care for sports now though so our go tos are music or movies.
I'm a pop century guy. That sky liner is great.
You’ve stayed at the wrong more expensive resorts lol.
Core memories made at this place! Pick this place for your kids not for you!
my mom and i went to the pop century resort in florida around 2014
I honestly liked All Star Movies a bunch- I'd stayed away from the All Stars because guidebooks were always far more gaga over Pop & AoA, which were only slightly more expensive, but now those prices are climbing higher and higher ("justified" by the Skyliner). And when I went to ASM, I was shocked to find it more or less a "clone" of those resorts with similar giant statues, room sizes, and layouts. So it's a pretty big advantage to get a cheaper resort.
Happy Sunday y’all 💚
I like pop century. I spend around 280 nights a year in a hotel, and it is fine. The room is clean, the staff friendly and the bud and skylines is fine. If you stay in the room a lot I could see wanting more. If you are a park person these are fine.
The guitar 🎸 shape pool reminds me of the Hollywood shaped guitar at Hollywood Florida
I didn’t know you could pick which section your rook was in. I booked and was not asked. Ty
I would book a stay at Disneys all star sports and specifically request a room in the touchdown section…but then again I’m football obsessed. ❤️🏈
GEAUX SAINTS
i personally like the all star line of hotels. the rooms are nice and modern (i still remember when it was just 2 beds, carpeted floor, awkwardly placed table with equally awkwardly place chair, curtains to separate the area with the sink to the rest of the room) and the dinner hall, shop and arcade are quaint, comfy spaces (though they did get rid of the mario kart machines in all of the arcades, so there's that)
one negative i have is that when we stayed at all star movies this last february, the room service was bad. they constantly kept raising the bed back to the wall every other night (so we had to lower it each time while we were already tired from our day at the parks), they kept taking away pillows, toilet paper and towels even though we were 3 adults in the room everytime and they'd only put enough coffee and cups for the machine in the room for just 2 people. we had to call the front desk every other night because of this and by the end they just gave us a large plastic bag filled with towels and toilet paper. felt kinda disrespectful ngl
We paid $110 a night in January at ASM. We only slept there but loved it.
After I graduated high school my family and I stayed in the all star movies and it was pretty nice
Hi AJ my family of seven is going to Disney world and on a 3 day cruise pretty soon. Do you have any tips for us?
There's a cruise line video she did within the last few weeks... not sure if the content but you may find tips there
If you are not taking a Disney Bus, plan to get to Port Canaveral EARLY, i.e.
PS All adults need to bring a US passport. There may be acceptible substitutes but make SURE you have what you need or you will not get on the ship!
I've hated it when we've stayed at coranado and Riverside where its got multiple bus drop off points and you're stuck miles out
People who insult the all stars in my opinion come under the bracket of a Disney snob.
I went to the all star movies and it was definitely a 3 star hotel alright, everything was great except for the bed which felt like solid rock after a few days especially after epcot day (day 3)
I booked my stay for all star sports in September. I always like staying there.
Do you get complimentary parking passes for the parks if you take your own car and start at the all star resorts?
Great video. Appreciate help. Staying there this weekend
Can you make a video about the food at Aulani?
I'm going to guess the Piano Pool is shaped like a Banjo.
I never been to any Disney world resort mainly cause I already live 20min from Disney world
I say go to All Star movies. The theming there is fun. You have giant versions of characters
Would you recommend if you had a hire car and wasn't relying on the buses?
