Kryptonians age a lot slower than humans. So one Kryptonian generation is two or three human generations. That's why it was foreshadowed since S1 that Clark is gonna outlive everyone in his life. There's even another series about Clark's grandfather and it takes place 200 years before he's born. Also Jor-El had Clark at an older age.
