The Squishmallow website now says “Squishmallows should not be washed in your machine washer or submerged in any way. This will distort the stuffing inside of the Squishmallow and will likely result in a change of texture both on the inside and outside of your item. Allow your Squishmallow to air dry. You should NOT use a dryer, hairdryer, iron, or other handheld heated appliance to dry your Squishmallows.”
@@avaisawesome I’m guessing it depends on the size, how much water you were able to ring out before hanging it up, and where you hang it/where you live. Hanging it in the bathroom might take longer than outside if you live someplace hot and dry like Arizona.

It's nice to know you can refresh the floof if you need to like this. Some poly fills don't recover this well after compaction or breakdown so it's comforting to know the special squish of my trex is keepable long term!

Someone had shown me a way to get the stuffing fluffy again and that was to open up the squishmallow, take a slicker/dog brush and kind of run the stuffing through it a bunch and get it fluffed up again if that makes sense? Plus add a bit of extra soft new polyfill/stuffing!!

It came out feeling different on both the inside and outside, which made me a bit sad because I loved how he used to feel. Do you have any tips for restoring the skin to its original softness? If going through the trouble of pulling the stuffing and washing I’d sew in a zipper at that point so you don’t have to keep ripping the seam out. Easier!

I have other ones I hug a lot, they’re good if you have nausea or just need to hug something. Another thing I found helped fluff them was when I put them in the pillowcase in the dryer, putting a couple of those dryer balls in with them (the soft plastic ones with the little nubs) it fluffs up down jackets and also Squishmellows. Same.. I had Lucy May(my first squish mallow) it was the largest size u could get. When I first got it, it was so fluffy and the texture was amazing. But now, most of the stuffing is gone, and it’s usually like loopy and sloggy. I couldn’t even place it on the wall with it just falling out. Most of the stuffing is gone, idk why :[
I have a 24” Cow Squishmallow and my collection keeps growing but my Cow one has been my most precious, I sleep on him every. single. night. and he has gotten very lumpy and flat. hi! so i have a question. i bought 2 squishmallows from walmart, and they are both really new releases so they won't show up on the internet, but my problem is that when they came in the mail, their fabric (NOT FUR) is going in all different directions, and has like a bunch of different random shapes. i already tried brushing it down to look normal and it didn't make any difference. i'm not sure how to fix it because it looks so weird. so i want to know if you know how to fix it because it just looks very odd and bothers me a little :( overall the products themself are fine. so please lmk or make a video if you know how to fix it because im so desperate. (OH AND TO MAKE IT MORE CLEAR IT LOOKS LIKE THERE ARE A BUNCH OF CREASES IN THE FABRIC BUT NO FABRIC IS MISSING) and last thing, if you want to see what it looks like and you have tiktok i can make a video with some pictures of them!
Hi! Sometimes when they are new they have these from being shipped in a box I think. Cuddle them lots, and if that doesn't help try putting them in the dryer on a low heat tumble dry setting. That should fluff them up!

I have a few and I like to cut off both the tags and the labels and the little loop where the tag hangs on but some of my friends tell me not too, should I keep them on or just keep cutting them off as I like to hug them lol
I usually take off the cardboard tag with the bios! I leave the loop though, and I’m not sure what the tags on the bottom look like on the new ones but they used to be a silky brand tag on top of a more plasticky information tag. I cut the information tag and left the branding one! Hope this helps!

The stuffing is probably stuck together try separating it!

Hi! Yes, I did use a seam ripper! To sew it back up I would recommend googling a tutorial on how to do an invisible stitch. Good luck!

If it’s not melted, just kind clumpy, try gently brushing it out with a wire comb/pet brush! That might help a little bit
