This is great John. Well done mate you should be super proud. I need to catch up on your BGP series as well as this looks great. Great channel and great tutorials.
Thanks, Al! Always glad to hear your feedback :) Yup - Cisco and Stuart have really done us all a huge favour with this resource. All CSR routers too! So can automate using NETCONF! I'll be using this for future videos! And yup, BGP is always good to lab haha. :) -John
Thanks, Karic! I agree!! We've come a long way from having to buy second hand equipment haha. Just book this lab as often as you like and practice using these amazing automation tools! :) -John
@@IPvZero Yep sorry its "genie learn".I have even tried "pyats learn ospf --testbed-file testbed.yaml --output ospf1" but for pyats command I get "argument : invalid choice: 'learn'" error
Hey, RobPaul! Yikes! I haven't had any problems with my Internet connection, otherwise I would have included a warning. Sorry to hear that! In that case, perhaps people should only install VPN to avoid similar problems. Thanks for your feedback! :) -John
@@IPvZero I have a minimal install on one system with only the VPN. It works great. The other system kept losing internet connectivity upon waking from sleep, and sometimes randomly. I uninstalled all the Cisco AnyConnect listed items which was at least 12, then it went back to having uninterrupted internet.
@@RobetPaulG Interesting. Well thanks for the feedback, RobPaul. If that's the case I've no doubt there will be others so it's good to know a workaround! Thanks!
I second that. My Internet kept on dropping when I was using Anyconnect. ITS DNS!!! something wrong with DNS, although vpn is split tunnel but somehow it screws up the DNS on local machine. I gave up trying tshoot why :(

Awesome video @IPvZero I followed all your steps and it worked perfectly fine for me. I need to learn network automation from scratch right now.
Brilliant, Hafiz! Dive right in and with a bit of practice you'll do great, I've no doubt!

Hi John,
firstly congrats for reaching 2K+ subscribers.
also, do u offer export lab file for eve-ng to run on my own machine.
Thanks for ur effort.
when i run the command using "genie create ospf --testbed-file testbed.yaml --output ospf1" I get a error saying failed to connect to csr1000v-1
Do you maybe mean "genie learn" rather than "genie create"?

Be CAREFUL with Cisco AnyConnect. Only install the VPN. Letting it install all those products will ruin your internet connection.

Solution to anyone having issue with Internet due to Anyconnect VPN: Uninstall it and only install "Core & VPN". Un-tick everything else
