We drank in big sips rough wines of mockery my land and I. We heard strong saber arguments my land and I. Such a lesson we've had to understand my land and I. The same fate united us forever: my land and I. Lord, servant? We are indivisible my land and I. We are right against bastards and thieves my land and I. We saved the words of our own language my land and I. To walk downward stairs of mourning we learned my land and I. Lowered down the well, we look up my land and I. We both raise in flaming wait, my land and I.
Thank you so much, Lucy! Glad you could enjoy it despite the language difference. This Sunday I'll be uploading another song in Catalan, right after playing a concert for my patrons: you are most welcome to check it out!
@@davidalmansatlt2724 Thanks so much my dear friend. In this moment I can't pay for it, because of the worse time of Corona. That is really sad.🥲 I'm so impressed of your wonderful Performances. Stay safe and healthy.💛

@@itsvillekat Thank you so much, Kahtleen! This is actually a poem written in the 1960s. I don't know if you are familiar with Spanish history but we had a dictator from 1939 until 1975 and he banned all the other languages spoken in Spain, like Catalan. Of course people kept on speaking the languages at home, but they were not taught in school and the act of speaking or writing them in public was an act of defiance that could get you in jail or even worse. So this poem talks about how the homeland (Catalonia) and the I (could be the poet or any Catalan) suffered and fought to survive. That's why this "we saved the words of our own language" is a quite literal line, as the language was seriously attacked and endangered and using it was not only a natural thing but an act of selfdefense and resistance!

Senyor, servidor?
