কয়েক বছরে সিলেটে জমির দাম ঊর্ধ্বমুখী। সরকার নির্ধারিত মূল্যের চেয়ে বেশি দামে বেচাকেনা হচ্ছে। সরকারি হিসেব মতে, গেলো ৫ বছরে মৌজাভিত্তিক দাম বেড়েছে ৮ থেকে ২০ শতাংশ হারে। আর বেসরকারি কিংবা ব্যক্তিপর্যায়ে সেই জমির দাম ঠেকেছে তিন থেকে চারগুণে। এর মাঝে সরকার শুধু জমি বেচাকেনা বাবদ রাজস্ব পেয়েছে প্রায় ৭শ' কোটি টাকা।

চাঁদপুর জেলার হাজিগন্জে উপজেলায় আইসা একটা রিপোর্ট করেন। এখানে আবাসিক এলাকায় জায়গার দাম ২০-২৫ লাখ টাকা শতাংশ , আর মেইন রোডের পাশের জায়গা শতাংশ ৮০ লাখ থেকে ১ কোটি টাকা

A huge number of Non Sylhety people are coming in Sylhet city for better life. Don’t know why they are choosing Sylhet. Is they are blind? Why they didn’t see another city.
Non Sylhety people are so discussing. They make quarrel, argue, and using slang language. Important subject is they are doing bad job like they start business in our important road Zindabazer, Bondorbazer, Amborkana in this case road is block then it’s make traffic. A small number of non Sylhety people are good but maximum people are so disgusting.
So we don’t want to see non Sylhety people in Sylhet.
