Today we’re going to be diving into dragon-ball super and looking at the mortal even gods of destruction fear. jiren the gray who’s goal is to be the strongest and in the tournament of the strongest in the multiverse he’s going to prove it.

A lot of people hated on Jiren because they felt he had no real character traits except for just being 'strong'. However, I think he's an extremely interesting character because he's exactly what Goku would've become if he didn't have his friends and family and the teachings of every single one of his masters/trainers. Jiren is neither good nor evil, he's just another ordinary soul who had no choice but to keep getting stronger because to him survival was the only thing that really mattered.

Ehh idk man, by your Logic Future Trunks should be just like him. Survival is all Trunks has known but with Trunks they gave him an interesting fleshed out backstory that they never gave Jiren.
His backstory is the most generic one someone can think of for a character. Master died to a great evil, Jirens trains to defeat him and does. How is that interesting? Also a question for you, how is he like Goku or Goku like him? Goku’s master didn’t die to some great evil.
@@SkunkFarmer420 But Trunks was never meant to mirror Goku nor be set up as that type of person. Also, Jiren is exactly the type of person Goku wanted in a successor during the Cell and Buu arcs.
That's why Jiren works well as a foil to Goku and continues playing with the theme of the meaning of strength. The strength of others vs individual strength.
Jiren ‘The Grey’ is morally ambiguous precisely because he aims to do good, but has selfish desires. He’s not necessarily evil per se, but did do something wrong in the T.O.P when he attempted to murder Goku’s friends to prove a point. I don’t believe he’s a mirror reflection of Goku considering it was a choice for Jiren to stop making friends. I believe he shares a lot of similarities with Goku - like wanting to continually get stronger, but represents the antithesis of what Goku represents, which is pride. Goku is humble and this allows him to do what’s right regardless of how his enemies treat him.
Goku would have been evil and taken over earth if it wasn't for him hitting his head. He would have stayed somewhere between 400-1200 power level

Where did it state that Jiren surpassed all the gods? When the U7 Kaioshin stated he never felt this type of power/energy before. Whis tells him it's like that of a god of destruction.
Whis states he is the one who has reached that state. Perhaps even surpassed it. What does perhaps mean? It means uncertainty or possibility.
Whis proceeds to say there is a universe where lives a mortal even HIS god of destruction can't defeat.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jiren has awakened god ki himself by the time we get to the next tournament of power. His power really was immense. In regards to Jiren being stronger than a G.O.D, they mean specifically Belmod not all of them. The gods aren’t all relative to each other.

@@vegito_st1 the guides are honestly just for promotion. In the anime, goku hasn’t even mastered ultra instinct yet they’re saying he’s surpassed beerus. The manga is the actual canon and shows beerus as one of the top destroyers left in a battle royale and he’s still leaps and bounds above goku and Vegeta in their ultra forms.

I hate the retcon Super did about his power level, saying that he wasn't that much stronger than Goku or Vegeta, like wth bro, the man was destroying you like fodders, even UI didn't put him down completely
They tried making some depth to fighting techniques but it was the wrong move. Jiren was better than everyone there in every aspect
