Linkin Park is doing with Ivo and Emily exactly what Queen done with Marc Martel and Adam Lambert. They have the best option but opted for new approach. And that's all right. I'm glad both options can coexist together. Don't have to choose only one, enjoy both or just enjoy what makes you happy.

I took my Daughters to go see these guys when they were in Brisbane last year and it was such a sick experience, very reminiscent of when I saw LP though obviously not the same...scale? I tried to get tickets this year but were sold out before I could unfortunately
If Linkin Park can't create a new identity for the band, they will end up being a worst cover than a Linkin Park cover. Hybrid Theory is simply a better Linkin Park experience so far. Mike asked for a chance to show the new path and, as a fan, I'll definitely give then this chance hoping for the best. But man, they have a monumental mind job ahead of then, oh boy.

@NunoCosta1984 Mike was the co-founder of LP before Chester joined, and from the beginning he defined what kind of music he wanted to play, something that in his words didn't fit into a single style, but when people heard it he would say "it's LP", so the original sound is there and they definitely don't have to change the name and do something else, because it's their band.
To me this is a GREAT Cover Band. Yes he has a „Chester like voice“ but i dont see much authenticity here. Emily had these issus on the livestream too, but at their second concert she was WAY MORE herself and rocked it! Each concert she will get less nervous and be more and more herself.
There is authenticity because he hits and nails the vocals. Emily can’t sing those songs. And you are wrong she literally tries to copy Chester vocals but the result is terrible

And not only do you need to have a similar voice but also the talent to create music, vision, technique, even chemistry with the members. Just because you sing similarly doesn't mean that suddenly and out of nowhere a song with more than 15MM+ views will come out.
And where did you read that all singers and musicians have to write or create new songs or sounds? Being a performer doesnt mean you need to be a producer too!
It takes talent and creativity to create something completely new yes. But inversely it´s kind of "easier" to be different from everything else than to sound alike a band like LP. It takes love, dedication and skill to sound like something that exists already and that can people to relate to. Just because one may be able to sing a song when one´s taking a shower, it doesn't mean that someone hearing it would get almost the same feeling as the original. A tribute band should live upo to the what they're trying to portray...and in this case, HT gives the closest feeling to the real thing.

He should not sound 100% like chester. That’s the whole point. But the voice resemblance is there, so he is the most suitable candidate to sing LP songs with CB voice in them.
I understand those who want to see something chester like qualities or who want to enjoy old stuff then they can have such experiences but if these guys create something of their originals instead of singing LP stuff then i will hear them out this is one of the reason mike didn't want to work with someone who is forcing himself to sound like chester i would rather see new songs new performances by LP
Its just a very underwhelming drawing of Chester. The only reason why you could say he looks like him is because they are both bald... The voice is definitely not as similar as some people paint it out to be.
