I have the Aurora A8, and every bit of it is superior compared to this Nitecore light - brighter, more functions depending on the model you get, USB-C charging, included magnetic belt/cap clip and another clip-on magnet at the top... but it's more than double the price
For the price, this is ideal for a permanent red filter mod. Perfect for retaining your night vision and still seeing other stuff while out stargazing.
I’ve had the same great experience with the Tiki. Even banging around on my key chain still looks and works like new. I’m impressed with light output and battery life too.
I use it and like it, but I don't love it. The long press feature to go directly to turbo mode is what often left me with an empty battery, as it's so easy for the button to be pressed against something in your pocket or bag and 300 lumens will quickly drain it. Some sort of protection against accidental activation would have been great.
Ive had my TIKI for about 1 year now. Using it 5 days a week at work. Its very durable and small so i can just throw it in my pocket along with my Victorinox and forget/not worry about it. Some things I’d like to see if there’s coming a upgrade version: usb C (obviously) battery indicator
I have this model as my EDC for a while, i clip it onto my belt loop, very useful and DURABLE! I once forgot to take it off from my belt loop and ended up in the washing machine and it’s still not destroyed and still going strong. Micro-USB port? Not a problem for me as I already have USB C to Micro USB adapter.
it seems like the major downside of this one compared to my Dapper Design Ion titanium mini flashlight is there's no clip. if I want to clip it to the outside of my pocket or my hat while I'm walking around at night I can't and it doesn't seem like there's a way to add one
One thing though: I'd really love to see even more in-depth comparisons with other similar products in the market - including a verdict on which is the best value according to build, longevity, and price-point. They have been super useful for me while deciding whether to purchase a particular product or not :)
Not "full speed", at "maximum output". The Tini 2 is vastly superior in functionality - it shows the run-times in each output mode in the little LCD window.
Right but that's because the Tini's way heavier and a bit too big for a keychain. I always keep a very small flashlight on my keychain as I have 14500 flashlight I can carry if need be.
Will wait till the release C version....most of my lights charge with a C, then my i- phone charges with a lighning cable.....now would need a Micro.....too many cords...I know that the price is right.....but the Micro is a deal changer.
Looks like they want to compete better with Rovyvon’s Aurora series, which cost more, but are considerably brighter and now charge with USB-C.
The tikis have been around for several years. That other brand might’ve been trying to top these.

@@RetroPinUpRockZ I stick to the tiki le because of the price

Love my Tiki. I think I have mine for two years, looks and works like new.
Waiting for USB-C version 😊
Great review as always

Most power banks have both micro and C.

Why can't they update micro usb to type c ? Is it that difficult
There is now a USB C updated version, not sure when it was released
What for.

Those are a lot of features for such a small flashlight!
We thought so, too! 😃

Love my tiki
What’s your favorite feature? 🧐
Micro usb? DOA
Whereas we agree with you, many devices are still using micro-USB. It’s outdated but still the norm on many budget-friendly products.

You can take a look at Rovyvon. They use USB-C on most of their models now.

1 50 60 and 300?
Middle two are dumb, should be more like 1 50 150 and 300 instead...
