Quagsire could Work well as a physically bulky Support Mon For Pokemon thats struggle Wirth Steel types, especially zacian because unaware ignores His boost. While he isn't the best at it and water absorb isn't as good as storm drain you can make him work.
Quagsire definitely has a niche - imo in the current format almost any Pokémon can be made to work. Unaware is a great ability for shutting down set-up mons and Zacian. However, using Quagsire does mean you lose out on Gastrodon and Seismitoad, so you need another way of dealing with the rain match up. Would suggest you probably want Groudon, Venusaur, and Incineroar, with the other two options perhaps being a Trick Room mode (Dialga and Mimikyu?). I’m sure more experienced team builders would have better suggestions, and Calyrex-Ice is a bit of an issue, but that’s how I’d do it. Good Quagsire moves: High Horsepower, Yawn, Protect, Scald, Iron Tail, Curse, Icy Wind Only use Iron Tail if you want it to be a Dmax option, but most of the time you’ll be going with Groudon or Venusaur. Quagsire works better as a support mon.
Support bulky Quagsire definitely best with unaware. Im not the best at Vgc but i’d say Yawn, Icy wind, protect, and scald/earth power could be a good set. Yawn for sleep.Protect for obvious reasons. Icy wind for speed control. Scald for burn and stab move and earth power for stab move. Leftovers is probably best item to make it live for longer. You could use a rain team with this exact set and use scald rather then earth power.
