This is a gem. Wonderful and heartwarming. I had the great pleasure of hearing Birgitte Grimstad as far back as 1969 or something like that - at the 25 year jubilee of "Visens Venner" (friends of songs) in Oslo. She was an icon then, and she still is. I have heard this song many many times, but I cannot think of anybody, but Birgitte Grimstad who can express the human, eternal values of life in a more genuine way. Birgitte Grimstad even underlines the expression with the intense soothing and life providing pleasure of the special rhythmic fragrance of the phenomenon we know as "a waltz". The accompaniment by Lars Hannibal and Michala Petri is beautiful, supportive, and yet discrete. I love the section near the end, where it is obvious that Michala plays two different flutes at the same time. Great recording.
Beautiful!
Så fint ! Tack för denna versionen 🙏🏼

Es ist so ganz einfach wundervoll!Ausgezeichnet!
Interesting to see Petri playing the larger recorders these days.
In which language does she sing? Is it Norwegian or Danish?
