QUESTION: I see you use wooden chopsticks when you are cooking and preparing your food (like the pork dish you made).... How do you keep the wooden chopsticks sanitized since they are touching raw meat? I am considering getting some cooking chop sticks and worry about that. I know there are some Stainless ones that my Korean friends use, but that could get really hot!
Wood is more sanitary than plastic and you don't use them to eat, just to cook. You don't need to 'sanitize' them - just wash with dish detergent and hot water and then LET THEM DRY THOROUGHLY. I enjoy using my cooking chopsticks and have never had a problem. I have stainless steel ones too but the wooden ones are nicer and more practical/easier to use - with hundreds of years of tradition across many cultures to back them. Dive in, you won't be sorry!
