Thank you for sharing the journal art book! Very informative for documenting ideas, process, and progress!
I love hearing your thoughts behind your art processes and bringing people along on your journey. Cheers Orla, love your art 😊
much better as just plain white, the gazebo thingy. love your colour use otherwise! Thx 4 the intro to barbara rae books. instant must haves! Best R
Thanks Robert! Aw that was my gut instinct too, but with some more time I’ll figure out how to finish it off so it suits both me and the client 💫 They’re absolutely great eh! Hope you enjoy them :)
Books were fabulous. I know this isn't an art question but I don't suppose you remember where you got your jumpsuit from 🤭. Thank you. Also, haven't forgotten about the watercolour ground recipes, still in bed with covid! Cheers
Thank you! And oooo it’s one of my favourites - it’s by an American brand called Dusen Dusen - they used to make more clothes than they do now, but you can pick things up second hand, I got these via vinted 😊 oh thank you and no rush at all, I hope you get better soon!
Hi Orla, Watching this video and your process for combining traditional and digital art made me think about masking fluid. Have you played with it? I have recently and have been able to get some wonderful effects. It would be fun to paint the building or a structure with masking fluid, let loose with your techniques, and then rub it away to reveal (kind of like magic) anyway, something to consider. These are always very inspiring :) Eileen
Hey Eileen! Thanks so much :) That's such a good idea! I've not used it enough - but do have some in, I'll give it a whirl this month. Thank you for the reminder! Have you found ways to use it on paper, or does it need a harder/more resilient surface?
Your videos always fill me with so much inspiration and motivation, thank you so much!
