This is a late comment. But I feel for Zayn here. He was definitely not the happiest in One Direction. But, you can tell he still bonded with the boys. There's loads of proof that he liked being with them, in videos like this. But, being in a band is not for everyone. I have no hate for Zayn leaving the band, he just wanted to be free and do his own music. But, this concert still tells us that he was sad to leave the boys (because to be honest, all the members seem like great people to be around, especially Louis and Niall). Just because he left One Direction, doesn't mean he hated his band members. There's many other reasons to leave a band. Loads of fans say they hope the band gets back together, but I don't mind them going their separate ways. All good things come to an end. But at the end of the day (pun intended) you rock, Zayn!

Late af answer, but neither do I. He stayed for so many years with them, and he is not a person who can "fake easily". We saw every time he was annoyed or upset, or something was rubbing him in the wrong way. No one can change my mind about this, because you simply can't fake that type of relationship they had. You just can't and certainly not for this long. I think he was stressed to the point of breaking, he was tired of always listening to someone telling him/them what to do (because we know they created this "image" and had to follow some strict rules), he wanted to just...be true to himself. So he left, and in the meantime some anger and egos got in the way and...they're here now. He got out as soon as it got too much for him to handle, but his friends were never a part of the problem.

This was Zayns last concert he performed in with the band :( He was crying. Little things is an emotional song. It obviously upsetted him he was leaving his 4 best mates. They r still close but I feel really sad and sorry for him crying. 😙

nobody had any idea that zayn wasn’t happy in the band. he was suffering so much, the media was onto him, he was always treated differently and told to leave his cultures. then his engagement with perrie broke off and ppl were saying he cheated. zayn always wanted to do his own thing from the start. I believe he stayed for as long as he did because he loves his four brothers and for us but eventually it got too much and he put himself first. he got so much hate for leaving the band. people still hate on him to this day. he’s finally healthy and happy. I’m so glad he met Gigi and is having a baby i hope he’s happy. the only thing is I really wish he had a better relationship with the boys. I wish he were there for Louis after his moms death that would’ve changed a lot I believe. who knows if he regrets it or not. Right. 2013 is forever golden. So much new fans, amazing content, amazing tour, and everything! I miss the old days of one direction. By 2015, I really felt a disconnection with the fandom in general. A lot of my friends whom loved one direction in 2012/2013/2014 stopped listening in 2015.
Me too. They were perfect together. If any one of them wasn't in it or if anyone else was, it had to go wrong. It just had to. They needed all of them and I don't think they would've taken this long of a 'break' if he hadn't left.

They all looked at Zayn with sad eyes and furrowed eyebrows. "You weren't happy with us?" Harry and Louis says in unison. "It's not that I wasn't, I loved every second I had with you guys and I would never want to have it on the other way." Zayn stated, getting up and hugging the boys with teary eyes. They hugged back, crying. March 25, 2015. Zayn signed the contract, of breaking his and the management's ties, also breaking people's hearts along the way. *(yes, I made this because quarantine really got the best out of me, and no, this isn't true, it's fake but anywaaays. As you can tell, I'm a Larry and Ziam fan sooo)*

This breaks my heart seeing him cry. He was so miserable by this point. Even Harry loving him could not keep him with the band. His spirit was broken. The disrespect of none of his songs being accepted for "Four", the eating disorder. It was too much. Him saying that he and Harry never really talked- unless you were blind, you know that was not true. He was forced to say that- it no doubt hurt him to say it as much as it hurt Harry to hear it. Harry loved him- he understood. Zayn did the band a favor- it brought on the hiatus that the boys needed, wether they realized it out not. Liam was drinking, Harry, so used to being affectionate and electric on stage with Zayn, was wild. He had no where to put that energy. One Direction is still under the same management, as much as I love them, I hope they never come back.

Maybe, When Zayn Left 1D, the management told him to not say anything bad about the company, maybe it was in a contract. When He left, ofc directioners were asking why, Maybe because of the management, he couldn’t talk about how they were treated badly, but maybe because the Directioners wanted to know the truth, Zayn said bad things about the Boys to stop the fans from asking him. i was not with them from the start i became a directioner after zayn left but im still crying hard.
This was Zayns last concert he performed in with the band :( He was crying. Little things is an emotional song. It obviously upsetted him he was leaving his 4 best mates. They r still close but I feel really sad and sorry for him crying. 😙
They're not still close. Zayn has said in two separate interviews that the only one he's even spoken to is Liam. None of the others have returned his calls.

nobody had any idea that zayn wasn’t happy in the band. he was suffering so much, the media was onto him, he was always treated differently and told to leave his cultures. then his engagement with perrie broke off and ppl were saying he cheated. zayn always wanted to do his own thing from the start. I believe he stayed for as long as he did because he loves his four brothers and for us but eventually it got too much and he put himself first. he got so much hate for leaving the band. people still hate on him to this day. he’s finally healthy and happy. I’m so glad he met Gigi and is having a baby i hope he’s happy. the only thing is I really wish he had a better relationship with the boys. I wish he were there for Louis after his moms death that would’ve changed a lot I believe. who knows if he regrets it or not. I know the boys all love zayn and have nothing against him. us directions are gonna live forever.

Right. 2013 is forever golden. So much new fans, amazing content, amazing tour, and everything! I miss the old days of one direction. By 2015, I really felt a disconnection with the fandom in general. A lot of my friends whom loved one direction in 2012/2013/2014 stopped listening in 2015.

Me too. They were perfect together. If any one of them wasn't in it or if anyone else was, it had to go wrong. It just had to. They needed all of them and I don't think they would've taken this long of a 'break' if he hadn't left.

I remember crying when I found out not only because of Zayn leaving but also because of the thought of not hearing him live....My concert was one of the first concerts after Zayn left (Dubai, April 4th) so I didn't get to hear him live but I got to know to accept the fact that he wants to do his own thing.

Today is 3 October 2016. Almost two years that Zayn leave 1D. He has released solo album and everything. But I came here to see these painful videos, because today I felt a huge miss him. It was a normal day for the boys, of March 18, 2015.
Zayn took a deep breath, steps forward and headed to Liam to 'talk'. Liam turned around and frowned, asking, "Yes Zayn?" Zayn replied, "Can we please have a moment with the others? Can you please call them?" Liam was confused, but he just shrugged it and chose to follow Zayn's order instead.
Once they were gathered, Niall cleared his throat. "What are we gonna talk about?" Zayn was twitching uncomfortably on his seat, trying to get comfortable, knowing it would be a heartbreaking news.
"I was thinking that... Uh..." Zayn struggled to continue, knowing this was a hard decision.
"What is it lad?" Louis interferes.
"I made a... Decision, and uh... I decided to leave the band. *for good* ."
Everyone was silent. The silence was haunting, and very eerie.
Suddenly Louis clapped, breaking the silence with Niall laughing. *of course*
Harry rolled his eyes, glaring Louis and Niall, not in a playful matter though. "this is a serious discussion, so please take it seriously." Harry muttered, Looking at Louis softly. They quickly stopped, and stared at Zayn. "You're joking aren't you?" Louis muttered, eyeing the ground, with a frown. Niall was shocked, to say the least, then twisted his head to see Liam frowning. "Liam, do you have anything to say?" Liam took a long breath out, not realizing that he was holding, and said, "Zayn mentioned it to me a couple of times, but not in a serious matter. I've always thought you were joking." Liam stated looking at Zayn with sad eyes. Zayn frowned, but also knowing the reaction of the boys would be like this, so he wasn't surprised.
"I'm sorry, I'd really like to stay with you lads, you're all amazing. But the management is treating us poorly, and I was... Never happy in the band. *From the beginning* "
Silence greeted the boys.
They all looked at Zayn with sad eyes and furrowed eyebrows. "You weren't happy with us?" Harry and Louis says in unison.
"It's not that I wasn't, I loved every second I had with you guys and I would never want to have it on the other way." Zayn stated, getting up and hugging the boys with teary eyes. They hugged back, crying.

Zayn signed the contract, of breaking his and the management's ties, also breaking people's hearts along the way.

But we all know that didn’t happen, he left saying he’d be back in a few days but didn’t come back. Then a few days later, he called Harry at 2 am to tell him that he has decided to leave the band, and they cried together.

This breaks my heart seeing him cry. He was so miserable by this point. Even Harry loving him could not keep him with the band. His spirit was broken. The disrespect of none of his songs being accepted for "Four", the eating disorder. It was too much. Him saying that he and Harry never really talked- unless you were blind, you know that was not true. He was forced to say that- it no doubt hurt him to say it as much as it hurt Harry to hear it. Harry loved him- he understood. Zayn did the band a favor- it brought on the hiatus that the boys needed, wether they realized it out not. Liam was drinking, Harry, so used to being affectionate and electric on stage with Zayn, was wild. He had no where to put that energy. One Direction is still under the same management, as much as I love them, I hope they never come back.

Maybe, When Zayn Left 1D, the management told him to not say anything bad about the company, maybe it was in a contract.
When He left, ofc directioners were asking why, Maybe because of the management, he couldn’t talk about how they were treated badly, but maybe because the Directioners wanted to know the truth, Zayn said bad things about the Boys to stop the fans from asking him.
Another Reason is maybe he wanted the boys and the fans to be okay with him leaving
Y’all know about the bad things he said
Maybe he said those words because he thought that if he angered them and us, then it would be easier for all of us to let go
Maybe he knew that it is easier to hate someone that left us instead of keep loving someone who left us, Maybe he angered us so we would be happy that he’s gone
