Andrija Cerovic i don’t carry any knife for self defense but if I did it would definitely not be a non locking knife maybe a cold Steel if you had to use a folder but a fixed blade would be a much better option
Gods men of America get some Whink Rust and Stain remover poor enough in a plastic container so that you can totally submerge the scales let it sit in the solution till it starts to bubble while moving the scales back and forth and check often because it’s a etching solution so you don’t want to leave it in there to long. That’s how I remove ano’s and coatings hope this helps 👍
Gods men of America all the knives I’ve done i was able to remove the lock bar insert which luckily had the detent ball in it but yea ask your wife for some quality fingernail polish and you can try coating it with a few coats or submerge everything except the detent ball if possible. I’ll try to find out more for you from some of the veterans in the ano game
