I have only watched 3 movies this year so far. KGF-1, 2, and Vikrant Rona. 4th will be Kantara. Haven't seen a Bollywood movie in years. Stopped watching Hollywood as well except for Dune, Thor, and Maverick.

Even with Hindi dub, the comedy was effortless and climax scene was so passionate. At the end of the movie everyone was seated with their hands together in respect. Fantabulous movie

To give respect to one in kannada, don't use the word gaaru, coz gaaru is a telugu word, but in kannada AVARU is the word to show respect, in hindi it's ji.
Loved the movie
Representing centuries old living folk culture of Bhoothkola which is atleast as old as Indus valley civilization (so 3000 years old back, it's just so divine), and the divine worship of Lord Shiva and Lord Varaha. The movie is shot beautifully and the background music is awesome. The folk culture song of Bhoothkola is the highlight. I think I will watch the movie in theaters once again. Love how beautifully the script was interwoven.

Great Review Shubham, liked that your pronunciation of terms Karnataka and Kannada is accurate, as most of the time North Indian's exclude the last vowel "A" from the words . yes its not Karnatak or Kannad its to be pronounced as Karnataka and Kannada

One small correction, which you probably misunderstood because you had to rely on the subtitles completely.
The king doesn't give the land to the tribal people directly, in exchange for peace of mind. He comes across a divine piece of rock, which he believes will give him piece of mind. But the rock belongs to the tribal people who worship it. And so they demand from him a portion of his land, in exchange for the rock.

Sudhakar was not the main villian or the Zamindar. It was Achyuth Kumar who played the villian duh!!! Sudhakar played my Pramod Shetty is the coward chela of the villian who is jealous of Shiva. How can you not mention Achyth Kumar who is like the partial soul of every legendary Shetty film.
The explanation for the criticism about the rash romantic scenes were given by Rishab Shetty in an interview. He said the lead actor is not perfect and the things he does is how a villager like Shiva who is raw and rash behaves. He even says that he sometimes gets horny towards his love interest and he let's his emotions take over. You can't judge this from a city perspective and can't make this filtered because then it might loose it's essence. You can also say the violence shown is excessive and wrong but having lived in Karnataka for so so long, I can say the village locals can get very violent if you hurt their pride or sentiments. Therefore, the potryal of Shiva with all its imperfections is totally correct
