After running the 2020 Audi RS 4 for two months, I figured an update video was in order! I have massively enjoyed my time with this car, I haven’t been able to really explore its handing dynamics due to COVID 19, but I have come to realise how practical and usable this particular Audi Sport car can be!

Love my RS4...so blimin quick on UK B roads. If you’re speccing one or looking for an early ‘18 car ensure it’s got Adaptive Susp, the B&O sound (Standard fit item is dog turd) and pan roof....

I always enjoy myself in a car that feels faster than it is. It's your human senses that are extremely hard to be fooled. Love a fast estate though.

Why you made the comparison to an m2 comp is absolutely beyond me, that's like comparing a ram to a HGV
Lovely car but personally find the outside very boring to look at, considering the performance under the bonnet! Just my opinion! But a awesome car
Would you buy an RS6 2017 or RS4 2020 and why?
I own a new rs3 sport edition and a bit disappointed with the sound and lack of fun factor. Would you recommend the rs4?

What do you think about the throttle lag in the RS4? I have a particularly bad experience with the new post 2019 ZF8 transmission software in the new Audis.
Thankfully it's not too bad in the RS 4, I do have the same findings, but mostly in anything with their nonsense "mild hybrid system". The worst offenders are diesel 6 pots with mild hybrids, I tested the new allroad recently and nothing happened for the first 3 seconds of putting your foot down... It's all ironically down to WLTP testing which is only here due to the VAG group diesel gate 😂🤷🏻♂️🤦🏼♂️
@@JoeAchilles1 I was promised by Audi UK that a fix will be developed but it's been almost a year and still no resolution. What I don't understand how come such design flaw hasn't yet gone public. I'm at the point to trade my 1 year old car in which was £69k brand new.

Personally, the RS4 is not a car I aspire to own. It's a very capable machine, but a bit too clinical for me. I can't get on with flat bottom steering wheels, and AWD just doesn't inspire me at all.
But, I really enjoyed watching your review.
question why you were using your mobile phone Google maps when you could connect to the car and see it on your screen with Android auto?
Hi Joe.. what would you think of Macan GTS against an RS4? You mention Porsche do things slightly better and these are VERY closely priced new. Can't find a comparison anywhere!

That interior sound actually sounds like a fake 5-cylinder sound from the speakers. (pretty clever, sound raspier than a V6)

Sounds like your starting to realize Audi is the king !
They make awesome cars, but like I say in this video, they lack the outright exciment and driver engagement compared to cars like my M2 C

Hi Joe, I decided to go with an RS4 rather than spending another £15k for the Cupra R ST ABT. The RS4 has £8k worth of options.

Joe that’s a very interesting observation, “although the M2 comp has less power it feels faster” my theory is this. When you put Beems on track compared to the equivalent Audi, they generally tend to be faster. E.g. previous gens RS4’s (v8) Vs e92 m3. Not sure have bmw have managed to make cars that appear to make less power, to be able to lap quicker. So you’re probably spot on, that the m2 Comp would probably be able to go down a piece of windy tarmac quicker than an rs4 Avant.
Nope if you timed it the RS4 would probably be quite a bit quicker. Not scrabbling for grip or trying to kill its occupants. I think thats what Joe is talking about when he says it feels faster. As well as the noise , which will give you that sense of speed too. Your local Go kart track will feel like you are going 100mph when in fact you are doing 30-40 max. This 2020 RS4 is brilliant. I love Audi red with the black pack.
Gerald's right imo, the RS4 is ofcourse heavier due to size and running gear, it sticks to the tarmac and powers through apex's, the M2 is a typical RWD car, you're fighting it on every aggressive corner which adds to the excitement and sense of speed.
I have always found that Audi’s never feel as fast as they really are. Perhaps has something to do with the AWD or insulation.
No Rs4 is much quicker
Hate to burst your bubble,but to have power running through all 4 wheels will cause a loss of power compared to 2 wheels.. add the extra weight of the extra front 2 wheels being driven through a diff & you will see the bmw accelerate quicker - it's physics 👍🏻 round the bends the Audi could be a bit faster but after the bend the BMW will come back.. watch car wow's quarter mile racing as an extra bit of proof 😀 both lovely cars though & I would like to own an RS4 all day long 👍🏻
