Just to update because so many comments are saying we may have Covid...it's not. We are fully vaccinated and my son was just tested before returning to school today and he is negative. It's just a bad cold. I think a lot of them are going around now that everyone is letting their guards down. Covid cases are almost non-existent here in CT...under 1%. Also, the friends we went to see over the weekend just had Covid a few months ago (including the baby) and have since been fully vaccinated as well.
Lots of colds going around, I just had a summer cold myself and both my kids have such bad allergies people think they are sick a lot over spring. I've heard of 3 pneumonia cases, 1 bronchitis and several stomach bugs. I do think its just that more people are finally going out, staying home lowers your immune system since you aren't getting those normal germs so now its all going around.
What a wonderful video! Loved listening to you sharing your weekend adventure, even though it wasn’t what you had planned. It was like listening to a friend catching me up with her latest news. So sorry you and your son caught that cold. Hope you’re all on the mend. I don’t know how you can sound so calm catching us up on your weekend AND apply makeup at the same time!! As a fellow CT resident, I feel your pain! We didn't even try to do anything over Memorial Day weekend it was just so miserable. It was just so ironic because we had ALL those days of gorgeous sunny weather and then the one weekend everyone wants to enjoy winds up getting completely rained out! Hoping you and your son are feeling better and I can totally related to what you were saying about putting on makeup. It's not even about the end look most times with me--the whole application process is just kind of meditative & restorative.
I love my flower beauty blush brush too! It's such a nice brush. I love flower beauty brushes I have a powder brush and concealer brush and love them too but the size and shape of the blush brush is just perfect!
I always wanted to go to Mystic since I watched the movie Mystic Pizza when I was a kid. Lol. Could you do a battle of the neutrals with the new releases??? The Dominique cosmetics transition, the sigma ambience, the practical Ta, etc. it seems there are so many neutral pallettes lately. Get well soon.
Mystic Pizza is still there and we go every time we visit! It looks quite a bit different now than it did in the movie because they've expanded, but it's still cool! That's a good idea for a video! :)

Colourpop does makeup so well. They're one of my favorite brands of all time. Colourpop and ELF are the best drugstore brands for sure. L'oreal and Maybelline coming in for 2nd place cause they have incredible products too. 😂😂
Some of the shades in that palette remind me of my ND Biba palette, my absolute go-to for warm neutral looks. Really too bad that your first real opportunity to get together with people you care about was dampened by illness and weather! I’m glad you are getting better.
Awww, I’m sorry you didn’t get to see your families over the weekend. I live on Long Island and was pet sitting for 3 dogs in addition to my own 2, so my house was a muddy mess with them all going in and out a million times, lol. Feel better! Im a former teacher and now private tutor- listening to your story about your son getting sick as soon as he went back to school is not surprising..I plan on wearing my mask always now when working with my students for this very reason! It was so nice not being sick all year! And becuz of you, I’ve been using joah - esp the lipsticks, which are so creamy and don’t dry out my lips. The colors work well for my skin tone too.. Did your Ulta bring in Pixi? I pass right by it all the time. There’s something that just doesn’t draw me in. I am w you. They should bring in JOAH. Now, few weeks ago I did buy the Rachh Loves highlighter palette from Pixi at TJ MAXX for like $8. It’s gorgeous!!! However if I never found it for that price I never would’ve paid $24. I really lucked out finding it for $8.

The Sigma Cor De Rosa palette pulled very red/pink on me, kind of wish I'd waited for this Ambience palette instead. I'm kind of hoping people will continue mask wearing in public during cold/flu season. I'm immune compromised & must self quarantine every Winter to avoid getting really sick (I was vaxxed for pneumonia a couple years ago after getting it repeatedly) I will continue to mask up indoors in public (even though I got the Moderna vaccinations) to protect myself from non covid contagious upper respiratory infections. Hope you & your family feel better soon.
I also hope that people mask up more for the cold/flu season. It was really nice to not worry about it this year! But I also think the lack of people getting together for the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays played a huge role as well.
Long Islander here! The weather was so disappointing for everyone. So many businesses here were set to open for the season that weekend. Such a bummer! My youngest is a 9the grader. He has been doing remote learning this whole year. We have not had one illness in our household. Since he was in 8th grade. It’s been nice having him home this year for that reason!
I agree! My son was home until 2 weeks ago and not one cold or anything in our house for more than a year! It was so nice but he missed his friends so we sent him back for the last month. I didn't expect that colds would still be hanging around this time of year!
I don’t wear makeup when we go camping and we’re heading off on Monday for another 2-3 week adventure. Whenever I come home I just can’t WAIT to wear makeup again. I love the whole process of applying it.

It was very pretty and in the mid 70s in Georgia this last weekend ! It has been so hot 🥵 here so it was nice to get some cooler weather ! We went to a birthday party with our kids and they got to play in a water slide inflatable. We just spent Memorial Day at home relaxing together 🇺🇸 Hope y’all feel better and your son too !! My son went through same stuff the week before they got out of school so he started summer break early but felt awful! Happy anniversary as well .. we are going to the beach for our anniversary in July ! 13 years together.. 7 years married ! ❤️❤️ Yes 🙌 makeup is my therapy !!! OMG!! Like the total opposite of us. Not only was it raining here but it was only in the 40's and 50's...so cold! We had winter jackets on, lol. But wow, if it was 105 here we would have been inside too.

Yes I do! They're great, I definitely want to get a bunch more...I only have a few at the moment. They don't shed and are very well made and soft. Sigma brushes are really great, I've had mine for years without any shedding of the hairs or the brush handle getting damaged. Really excellent quality.

You're so lucky to be able to wear warmer tones even though you have light skin with cool undertones, it's those gorgeous blue eyes of yours! Happy 10th Anniversary! It was so sweet that you were a bit excited that it's been ten years. My husband and I celebrated our 31st Anniversary yesterday (6/2), we were going to watch the DVD of the wedding after we exchanged cards, but my guy fell asleep watching TV, lol.

Did your Ulta bring in Pixi? I pass right by it all the time. There’s something that just doesn’t draw me in. I am w you. They should bring in JOAH. Now, few weeks ago I did buy the Rachh Loves highlighter palette from Pixi at TJ MAXX for like $8. It’s gorgeous!!! However if I never found it for that price I never would’ve paid $24. I really lucked out finding it for $8.

The Sigma Cor De Rosa palette pulled very red/pink on me, kind of wish I'd waited for this Ambience palette instead. I'm kind of hoping people will continue mask wearing in public during cold/flu season. I'm immune compromised & must self quarantine every Winter to avoid getting really sick (I was vaxxed for pneumonia a couple years ago after getting it repeatedly) I will continue to mask up indoors in public (even though I got the Moderna vaccinations) to protect myself from non covid contagious upper respiratory infections. Hope you & your family feel better soon.
I also hope that people mask up more for the cold/flu season. It was really nice to not worry about it this year! But I also think the lack of people getting together for the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays played a huge role as well.
Long Islander here! The weather was so disappointing for everyone. So many businesses here were set to open for the season that weekend. Such a bummer! My youngest is a 9the grader. He has been doing remote learning this whole year. We have not had one illness in our household. Since he was in 8th grade. It’s been nice having him home this year for that reason!
I agree! My son was home until 2 weeks ago and not one cold or anything in our house for more than a year! It was so nice but he missed his friends so we sent him back for the last month. I didn't expect that colds would still be hanging around this time of year!

I don’t wear makeup when we go camping and we’re heading off on Monday for another 2-3 week adventure. Whenever I come home I just can’t WAIT to wear makeup again. I love the whole process of applying it.
I keep debating getting the Sigma palette...I'm waffling between the Ambience palette and the Cor de Rosa ..which one do you like better Jen? What is more everyday? Love the look you did.
I’d get the Ambiance palette for everyday. I own both. I don’t really reach for the Cor de Rosa much. I do like the ambiance palette better.
I think Ambiance is better for everyday. Cor de Rosa is pretty but it has the reds/berry tones so I don't reach for it that often.
Sorry you and your family weren't feeling well for the Memorial holiday. I'm near the NY Aquarium in Brooklyn and the amusement park there was a washout for the first two days, I did not miss the traffic and noise that comes with it. The Sigma palette looks like what I wish the UD Honey palette should be. I hope you feel well and that you enjoy your getaway.

It was very pretty and in the mid 70s in Georgia this last weekend ! It has been so hot 🥵 here so it was nice to get some cooler weather ! We went to a birthday party with our kids and they got to play in a water slide inflatable. We just spent Memorial Day at home relaxing together 🇺🇸

OMG!! Like the total opposite of us. Not only was it raining here but it was only in the 40's and 50's...so cold! We had winter jackets on, lol. But wow, if it was 105 here we would have been inside too.

I watched your last haul on mute and I KNEW the CP blush quads weren't good. Also - we're been sooooooo sick since mask mandates have been lifted. We enjoyed a year of a sick-free household. Last time we went a few years ago the Splash pad was closed (not sure why!).
Holy cow that foundation went on like magic! Looks sooooo good. I have fine lines and oily t zone. Would it work well for me?!
I'm very dry so I'm not sure how it would work on oily but I do have fine lines also! It's not a particularly greasy foundation so it might be ok.
I have combo skin and it works just fine at not getting oily/greasy. I hated the original formula.
The weather in Texas has been nuts too. We’ve been getting these crazy and FAST massive rain and wind storms. Sounds like it’s a nation-wide issue. Very scary. Everyone be safe.

Yes I do! They're great, I definitely want to get a bunch more...I only have a few at the moment. They don't shed and are very well made and soft. I love that they have smaller sizes for hooded eyes too! I have a 10% off coupon code with them now as well...it's in the description box if you do decide to place an order!
Sigma brushes are really great, I've had mine for years without any shedding of the hairs or the brush handle getting damaged. Really excellent quality.
We have had colds in the past couple of weeks too. As soon as the kids no longer had to wear masks in school, they got sick.
Ugh that stinks! Mine is still wearing a mask at school and they are constantly sanitizing. I'm not sure how this happened, lol.
