Oh yea. This is what got me started. We get it right from the tree though. We call it maple thunder. Used to carry buckets of sap out of the woods as a kid
Ive got an experimental mash going now.... 6lbs of oats,1 pound of raisens, 6 pounds of dark brown sugar and 2 bottles of maple syrup plus spices.... its for an 8 gallon run of oatmeal raisen cookie moonshine lol not sure how itll work but i bet it wont be terrible 😅
I make maple syrup off of my own land, but I have no knowledge of making whiskey, I have so many questions, I was told it's not legal, is this true? Also I dont even know where to start. I've heard that if you do it wrong that it can make you go blind. Ugh!! Just dont know but I'd love to learn

Would love to try some of this
Going watch this after work! Thank you
Awesome video. I love the yellow label. It’s definitely easy to work with. I’m going to start a mixed berry brandy with some next week.
Yes sir, Mr philbilly with another great recipe vid👌 this sounds like it's gonna be delicious
Thanks for putting out consistent content. We are out here watching dude! Cheers.
From what i hear yellow label angel is the yeast yhat will eat anything it dont care ..its great stuff
Really curious about what your hat says. I think I may need one like that.
Thanks for the video
What was the starting sg on that one? Sounds like a fun adventure..
Dude! I was thinking about airing out the jars last night!
Man oh man that looks so good
you can make up your own PhilBilly Big Eaze fanny labels and stick them on the nice tasting jars...
In Québec, maple spirit is (not officially) called Acérum.
Great video thank you!
Got to try this
That would go damn good with some pancakes

Man I would love to get my hands on a jar of that stuff.
Man this is an awesome video. I saw you had sugar in the background. Did you add sugar to the wash? What was your starting SG? Shine on!
I don't think it would be quite a bourbon I think that that's considered to be a rum because it's mainly made from sugar
perfect. thanks
Sounds good please let us know how it turns out
Yellow label is ment for hole. Grain
Am I mistaken or did the date on ur video show a month's time for fermentation?
Phil was that Toki a Japanese whiskey in that bottle ?????
i think you can pull off some good brandy or rum with that thumper infuser.
Would be cool to have a follow up video!! ;)
I've never tried angle yeast
That sounds good. Was it smoother then a sugar shine?
It is so much smoother and not burny at all.
Pancakes!!!!!!!-Charlie Murphy…
American maple rum maybe? But honestly moonshiners don’t have rules so call it whatever the heck you want right.
What kinda still. Do you run
Where do I go about finding me a drop down Infuser like that
Without at least 51% corn as the ingredient it’s not bourbon.
Yeah i know that i'm calling it whiskey once i age it.
I have never seen maple syrup that thin.
probably a lot colder where you live.
@@philbillymoonshine7356 WV, we would make small amounts of it from the maple trees in the yard.
Where do you get that sweet ass drill bit?
It is a paint stirrer,
Can you tell me what your starting gravity was for this wash?

It looks like the same process as your rum
Thats a very expensive mash....

I'd call maple syrup liquor a rum..definitely not a whiskey & hell no on a bourbon..
Bet its good though
