Ab und zu einen Sauerrahm oder Topfen, im Sommer/Herbst Äpfel und Birnen, nicht aus dem Kühlhaus. Und Ziegenmilch und -käse. Dillsauce ist erst in den 60ern dazugekommen.

It's meant as a dark joke, he uses the meaning: "Erdäpfel" in a melancholic manner, as a "Metapher" for that Region (Waldviertel). The song is not really funny, it ends with the sentence "..I schau aus wia a Erdäpfel" - "des is OK, solang i ma die Erdäpfel ned von unt auschaun muaß" / >> Part 2
