This song brought me through a really difficult part of my life. After my close friend died I had developed an alcohol and drug dependency. My life was spiralling downwards out of control, until one day, as i lay on the floor in my filth ridden apartment, this song just came on by sheer coincidence on a youtube play list and everything just changed. I saw the light. I did not need to pity his loss and instead i should live on for him. Bubblegum forever!
I feel like now as a young adult (I’m 16) now that I dive into these shows I watched the characters were depressed or maybe it was the way the voice actors were talking. I know realize Adventure Time and Regular Show were really depressing. I think maybe they were made like that? IDK. But now I look back I feel sadness more than I do nostalgia when I rewatch these shows.
