Also, back in the army days I used Glutamine religiously after I was introduced to it by another buddy. Prior to using glutamine, I was always sore. I was a recreational bodybuilder, and doing the physical training the army gives you. My soreness was totally eliminated literally overnight. If I were to go back in the service, I would bring a big tub of glutamine.

cortisol increases gluconeogenesis which burns amino acids. giving glutamine replaces these amino acids for gluconeogenesis and lowers cortisol.
that means we could use glutamine in times of high cortisol and prevent other amino acids from being wasted

I strongly recommend u guys to take glutamine,if u can’t avoid physical stress from ur daily life.

Great in theory, until they tested it and found that the gut processes almost all orally ingested l-glutamine and uses for its own metabolic functions leaving only insignificant traces in the blood stream, regardless of dosage. I took glutamine for years and was disappointed to find out I was wasting my money but it's very good for your gut and especially it's lining and the production of serotonin. It makes sense that for this reason, it's effectively used as treatment for muscle wasting when delivered intravenously.
