  • Hello beautiful people!
But girls especially in this video 💙
Cultural perspective video today: what do Italian guys think about foreign girls?
I asked some of my friends - who either have been or are in a different country - to tell me their thoughts on girls from there.
Obviously these are just viewpoints so please don't take them personally and don't take this as EVERY SINGLE ITALIAN's opinion.
Let me know in the comments your thoughts on this!
👍 As always, leave a like if you enjoyed!

I’m from from Flanders in Belgium, but I’m half Dutch and after living in Rome for 8 months, I’ve noted a few things about (some) Italians:
    - they are very traditional
    - they are quite dependent and family-oriented (for example, in Belgium and the Netherlands it is common for people to start living alone from their early 20’s, while here Italians seem to be calling their mom every hour), and no one knows better than their mamma/nonna/zio tonino...
    - they are DRAMATIC
    - they do not like clubbing or drinking a lot of alcohol
    - they do like smoking
    - they love Italy, but they also love complaining about Italy
    - they are generous (but not big spenders) and welcoming and will bombard you with compliments, but you won’t be real friends with them until you learn Italian.
    - they all say Italian is a very difficult language, but their knowledge of foreign languages is pretty basic (which is weird because every other language should be easier, right? 😂)
    - they are stylish and spend more time on their appearance than other nationalities might do (my Italian friends are still horrified when I tell them I leave the house without blow drying my hair, even when it’s freezing)
I am just generally speaking, of course not everyone is like this. Some traits I absolutely love, some a bit less... anyway, I’m not going away any time soon ♥️🇮🇹♥️

      Thanks for this perspective!
I agree with most of these! 😂
It is true that we are very family oriented (and dependent) but unfortunately we can't usually afford to live alone in our early 20's for several reasons (I could actually do a video about this).
I also wouldn't say we don't like clubbing, but clubbing here is different from - for example - the US. It's more chilled and you don't necessairily need to drink a lot/take any drugs or stay up till sunrise.
And if you leave your house without having blowdried your hair, everyone will be worried that you might get sick!! 😁

I'm Italian women born in 🇺🇸 usa. I love cooking and baking since I was a child. I've had so many marriage proposals in my life and my cooking is a huge part of my appeal. I understand the Italian passion for food. Women if you want to get married become a really goid cook. Especially Italian food and it's even better the next day reheated.

I can't speak for women of other countries, but I am an American woman of Latin American (Latina) heritage; and I would agree that American (women AND men) are "chill" and laid back. We are very much fascinated by non-Americans and love talking and getting to know people. As far as the Latinas being "fun" part...well, that's VERY true! We love to dance and joke and just have a good time wherever we are.

us Italian Americans still know of our lands.
I have a book of all of my Family history goes back to 500A.D and tells our story.
my family were Roman Warriors but fleed to the Byzantine Region and served there but after Byzantine fell and they returned to Italy.
my family came to America in 1900s.
I was born in Italy but Raised in Kentucky [ US. State ]
I have visited my Home Land and visit family still there.
my Irish Husband he likes Italy but my cousins [ their 6ft and up ] one of my cousins she told my husband to treat me right and respect me.
my husband said he does and he promises to always be with me.
I told him that I appreciate that loyalty and respect him and love him.
He blushed in front of everyone cause of that and I kissed him too.
my six brothers told him to be Good to me.
my family loves him but gives he a rough time 😂 and he respects them and they love to joke with him a lot.

As a Russian, I absolutely agree that we care about our look. I don’t think it’s that we don’t care about a mans looks, I think it’s that we’re not conditioned to like the same looks as other people. But I do agree we care about confidence. Family is pretty big, especially respecting and following elders’ ways. I’m also glad we’re “fit looking” because Russian cuisine is not healthy 😂

Hello 😊 loved your video! And especially found the "looking at your own arm part and clearing your throat" funny 🤣. I think you seem lovely and friendly too and I'm not offended by any part of your video. I am English (I was born in Germany but only because my dad was in the army) I guess the reason I came across this video is because an Italian guy has shown a lot of interest in me. I don't really know any Italians and I have never been to Italy even though I'd love to one day 😍 I love the Italian food, love your accents and Italian classic style. I'd say what those men think about English women may be accurate for the majority. I'd say years ago hardly anyone wore makeup really but nowadays the younger generation can't live without it (most not all though) and I would say a lot plaster quite a lot on and massive eyelashes seem to be a big thing and very dark tans aswell. A lot do follow trends but again it's the majority of the younger generation. I'm in my 30's I do wear makeup most days but I do try to keep it a bit more "subtle" but it might still be more than the average person, I think the older the generation the less they care maybe but again it's not the same for everyone. A lot smoke but also a lot dont I'd say its 50/50, but I agree with our diet and I'm a bit overweight as I've gotten older and had a child but used to be slim lol. I don't know much about Italian men so I'm nervous about meeting him and I'm worried I have "stereotypes" of them in my head but only based on what others have told me. I love the idea of them being family oriented as to me that's the most important thing! So that's good 😍 but I guess I've heard the men like slim women, is that the case and if so why has this guy asked me out 🤣 I'd say I'm well groomed and always like to do my face and hair everyday but not my nails but only because I'm not allowed that for my job 🙄. Hes also giving off a vibe that all hes interested in is one thing or are Italian men just passionate about that but then show you their nice side too 🤷🏼‍♀️. He smokes but I dont, and hes a head chef so hes a really good cook but I'm probably average but maybe better than I think I am lol. I think what you may see on tv or probably on a night out here is a lot of women dressing trashy, being drunk loud and vulgar and I can assure you we are not all like that 😅 theres so many different areas in England where everyone acts so completely different. I'm more attracted to someones personality so I'm guessing I wanted to know if Italian men are the same? Xxx

@UCgJdtIbheAUOphQWcyOnYqA It's a good question. If I have to tell the truth, I personally prefer the Italian girls because they can walk well, swaying - I have a neighbor who goes out every day with the dog and when she walks, with that ass that comes and goes like a swing, I listen the Hellelujah of Handel in the head -, as opposed to the English or German ones, for example, who walk with their feet turned inwards. And then I prefer them for their particular way of expressing themselves, ironic, which depends on the language and color of the local dialect. For example, I love three accents in the mouth of women: Roman and Neapolitan, because they make them seem more authentic, and Bolognese, because it gives them an almost aristocratic air - I also like something else in their mouth, but I don't think this is the time to talk about it. But in my opinion the most beautiful of all are the Dutch - creatures of that kind must be protected by the WWF. In general, Italians are educated to consider women as a status symbol, especially the most beautiful, since school days, because being successful with women is indicative of good character - it makes you look like you were born to be successful. It is the most sincere answer I can give.

Italian women are on the other side of the spectrum, median is 33 for them! They hold absolute record in the EU for that and I understand Italians see big difference. Very enjoyable video. I'm confused why Italian men think British women wear a lot of make up or too much make up. The Russian women especially wear a lot of makeup and dress up all the time. Perhaps British women are not good at applying the makeup? I thought Italian men really like women to dress up, wear sexy clothing and high heels. I recall in the North (Milano, Parma, Lago di Como) thecwomen are very stylish. When I was young and looked really good (not bragging: it was long ago and I was really pretty) the Italian men were very free with their compliments. They were almost a little aggressive. But Italian men have always been charming, of course...except when they get angry. I'm glad I spoke enough Italian to be able to chat with Italians. I found that Italian men really appreciated when an American woman would go out of her way to look chic and dress up. It's as if they don't expect Americans to make be fashionable and wealthy dresses and nice shoes.

I am fluent in Spanish. I have had many Italian friends throughout the years so I understand a little bit of the Italian language. I have also noticed that Italian people have there homes so elegant and clean. I love their cleanliness. I need to learn how to speak Italian.

If you are from the South I'd get wanting to dance a Sevillana, but if you're from anywhere else in the peninsula I honestly don't see that happening. Most of us have never danced that in our lives.

Great video! I love hearing the thoughts and opinions of Italians about other people... I'm super curious about what Italians think of Argentinians.
Yeah, Spain has a strong beer culture. SHOCKING! I know, I thought it would be wine but no, Spanish people love their beers. The hairy arms tho. I never noticed that but then again I have hairy arms so it never occurred to me.
American girls are chill and laid-back.

The Spaniards are more open because their cultural values are thinner. For almost 1000 years the Spaniards were ruled by Islamic Moors, so the Spaniards learned how to adapt. Today, in 2019 you see many more British in Spain, so beer is popular in Spain. The Italian culture, which is Tuscan, Venetian, and more, has a longer history by region that predates Italy as a country.

Agree on what you said about russian and polish women. Yes, we are more family oriented and it's important for us to feel beautiful and protected, that's why we like strong men and care a little less about men's looks.

American girl here, from New Orleans Louisiana. I love the Italian accent. As the saying goes here in the States, "Italians do it better". Lol But I think what it is mostly that Italian men are known to be more romantic and family-oriented. But with that said, I like real italian men who are from Italy. Not so much can be said for American-Italian. I find they try too hard to 'act' Italian. 🤷‍♀️

I think this is rlly sad because you are defining the people from the country as "they" so everything your friends are saying about the people is just grouped into one stereotype for the whole country. Everyone is different, it doesn't matter which country your from, it only matters about your morals and your personality. Let me tell you something : I'm English , I don't smoke, and I never wear makeup. I have a Polish friend who is interested in the same gender, but she isn't French so that can't be true can it?

    • @RomeInside
      @RomeInside  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Hey! I understand your point :) This video is very generic and obviously can't apply to everyone from that country, it would be impossible!
I'm happy to hear some more thoughts and opinions from people coming from a specific country!
What would you say are some generic traits that apply for English women/girls?
