To upgrade properly you need to use 36 sturdy bones to instantly get to 3x multiplier then use as many high exp value parts as you can. 22 is a random number that has no real meaning.
In chapter 11, when you're running like a rat through the cave tunnel system, my FAVORITE, utmost FAVORITE place to grind is near where the juggernaut is marching back and forth on his platform thingy. Run past the 3 ice bombs w/ 2 robots, down the stairs past the alcove with 3 more ice bombs, and you'll run into 2 rust muddies and 1 ice bomb. Their health is halved from fighting each other, and their re-spawn point is just a few paces back up the path. 5,600 CP per battle, they get so easy!
@@xanderscales0 1. The thing with the number 22 is bullshit. There is no such thing at all. 2. He doesn't go to x3 bonus. So he is teaching people to waste allot of Gil, which is pretty rare in this game. U go to x3 and spend as much materials as possible or necessary to reach max rank of the weapon.
Actually, I found that 36 Sturdy Bones (or some type of bone) will automatically give you a 3x multiplier. So that way you can use the components that give A LOT of exp. A LOT more. Hope this tip help anyone who read this.
Thanks for the video, even though it’s 14 years ago. Anyone new and still watching this …. Upgrade using 36 sturdy bones for 3x bonus and then use as many Crankshafts as you can afford up to 99 at a time for max EXP upgrades.
11 years later and I'm finally getting to play this again on my series x. I just u locked the upgrading system just now so I wanted to see what's the best weapons and stuff to upgrade. It's been so long so I'm not sure if you will see my comment but ty for this. Hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe. Much love and light
The best grinding place is the 4th level on the tower. YOu get the same 6,ooo cp and a moonseed to sell. Best Grinding spots: The underground area place with the plants and stuff. You play as Lightning and Fang there when they notice Hope is in trouble. Just grind the Orions and PSICOM troops there. Hope's house. Nautilus. On Pulse in the field, fight the Megistotherian who is fighting the King Behemoth. 6600 CP! In Orphan's Cradle, continue to fight Wladislaus. 32,000 CP! If you have the power, fight a Long Gui. 100,000 CP plus Trapezohedrons for Ultimate Weapon catalysts!
You can buy 36 Sturdy Bones for around 8000, use all 36 on a basic level weapon and it immediately gives you a x3 multiplier bonus. After that, I recommend using as many particle accelerators as you have at once to fully upgrade it. That's the most efficient way I've upgraded yet. There's no need to sell or go on wasting away gil on other stuff that can't get you as high of a multiplier...
its alot better and smarter to wait till crankshafts become available if you wanna upgrade early on. crankshafts =645 at 3x multiplier turbojet =636 at 3x multiplier thye both cost 840gil. lvling up in ff13 is the same as the grid sphere from ff10 except without the spheres
also before the apartment when hope and snow are on the way there just before you fight ushumgal subjugator the first time there is a place where you fight 3 aerial snipers if you stand right where you first enter their encounter area and then take a few steps back they respawn they have a much higher chance of dropping incentive chips takes like 30 minutes for 10 instead of like 3 hours in the apartment and once you upgrade hope and snows equipment to max the fighters are super easy it is feasible to get enough chips to give everyone fully upgraded first level equipment here in less time than upgrading one person in the apartment
I'm replaying this game now on the PC to refresh my memory. Got the Reshade and HD/UHD texture mods. Looks nicer and this video is helping me 13 years later... Barely remember playing this when it came out. All I remember was falling asleep trying to spam the attack button. hahaha
@bloemen34 The Behemoth King is really easy even if you just got to Gran Pulse, I leveled up a bit with the wolves and Flans, mainly building up my Strength on the Crystarium, then engage the Behemoth with a COM/RAV/RAV party or something (preferable Lightning, Snow and Fang since they have the highest attack, the idea is to Preemptive Strike him so you can stagger him in 5 seconds, then switch to COM/COM/COM and with Launch, Smite and Scourge it shouldn't be hard, before he transforms.
Helpful tip: If you wanna make Gil fast then you need to have a survivalists catalog equipped and ride a chocobo around. You can get gold nuggets and and other goodies that you can sell to The Motherlode store for a good sum of Gil. Hopefully this helps some people out there.
I used fang, vanille, hope. Paradigms: com/rav/rav, rav/rav/rav, sab/sab/rav, com/med/med, syn/syn/syn, com/com/com. Start with syn/syn/syn to buff up, switch to com/rav/rav for one round, switch to sab/sab/rav to debuff juggernaut, switch to com/med/med if need be otherwise switch to rav/rav/rav to stagger, then when percentage seems high enough com/com/com to finish.
yo i feel like u forgot about some things when u made this video. why not add some tips & tricks? like 36 sturdy bones (and the other 80 gil creature comforts supplies) will make a 200% bones, or 3x bonus. and thats when turbojet comes in handy for real. Also on Gran Pulse, you can go to the mines, where the destination leads. the enemies are stupid and easily caught off gaurd, while also yielding 2-5 thousand CP per battle. thank you for reading :)
I think this is because you don't get to control all aspects of the battle. The medic heals status rather than hp for example. You cannot use summons as much, retry option removes the "need to win," the mp system is no longer in use. However, I believe that some people miss the point of all this. The AI is very fast at healing and casting spells, summons are a treat because they are rare, retry option saves time, the new system means you cannot run out of spells. I love all this and more!!!
Do not sell any accessories that you can't buy in shops(if you sell some you'll unable to achieve it) 1st way - early farm, farm when soldiers come in Hope's home 2nd way - post game farm.Must have Collector Catalog and Connoisseur Catalog equipped, at least 3 roles 5lvl (every char.) Go to Leviathan Plaza (Eden) and find Atamantoise, kill it go to gate and come back for resp.I kill about 18Atamantoise per hour, it's about 8-10platinum ingot (it's 8 x 150 000gil),I think it's not bad at all :)
The best Crystogen Point farming place I found was the 2nd one he mentioned 5:40 You'll most likely fight them Preemptively. I have Lightning, Hope and Sahz as Com-Rav-Rav. When battle starts, I have my default to 'Abilities' instead of 'Auto-Battle' to save time, then quickly go and use two 'Blitz'. Two Blitz will be enough to Stagger them. Keep repeating Blitz on them while the other two Ravager them dead. This'll take probably around 10 seconds to kill. Its pretty awesome.
personally, I farm the growing catcus near the Adaman's, with growth egg it's 30,000cp per minute. Level grind there for a day (vid is 5 years old lol)
The best spot for pulse is to do all the mission available before moving on (missions 1-17) and then after that you'll be able to fight the behemoth king and the other big enemy with ease. The catch to them is that you always get a pre-emptive strike on them.
I was wondering what do you guys choose for your weapons to upgrade? I picked: Lighting: Blazefire Sabor- Balanced Weapon, Balanced Character Sahz: Vega 42’s or Denab Duelers
hey nightfall, your weapon choices are not too bad but it just depends on what you want with your characters. personally for me I had Lightning ===> Axis Blade since she is mainly a rav for me, the atb charge is great Sazh ===> vega 42's is good for an all around or rigels if you want him to be a commando Snow ===> Paladin since he is only good as a sentinel, he gets outclassed in every other role and Fang makes a decent sentinel Hope ===> Hawkeye I think is the best since its magic stats are the highest when maxed out and upgraded Vanielle ===> Belladona wand is great as a saboteur, if your planning on farming trapezhoids using her death ability this is the ideal weapon. healers rod is also good if you want to use her as a medic Fang ===>Taming Pole is best even with the stagger lock ability she wont need it since shes primarily a commando/sent, you have the other 2 chars doing the staggering since fang is not the best ravager
Oky Khadifa I really wanted a well rounded party with more members being able to fill in for a diverse set of roles rather than so and so is physical while others are magic especially for Lighting. I never use the Sentinel class at all, and I don't see that as a major flaw in my battle strategy since I've built everyone to either be a massive damage dealer or healer...but I'm not opposed to hearing why you think I need a Sentinel in my party. Sahz I understand is a syngerist and a damn good one, but once the buffs are cast I figured I need him to be doing something. I just want to avoid as many paradigm shifts as possible since it eats up time and slows down the fight, yet I understand it's a key gameplay mechanic the game was built on. The way I see it the stronger I get, the more I can unapologetically get away by cutting corners (i.e. go in guns a blazing to end a fight faster and therefore be efficient). Hope we agree on. Vanielle I'm not sure what you mean about her Belladonna wand making her a better Saboteur, because like syngerist I would only use it in bigger boss fights. I'll use her summon though to farm trapezhoids and cast death when it's down; this works about 30% of the time. My goal is to have a pure endgame team not a situational one for farming. I think I could change my decision on Fang and give her the staggerlock weapon with high attack since I've seen how little commander contributes to a gauge.
I've played through this game at least 15 times and each playthrough I use different weapons and accessories. My first couple playthroughs I used Lightning's Gladius->Helter Skelter->Omega Weapon, Hope's Hawkeye -> Eagletalon -> Nue, and Fang's Bladed Lance -> Glaive -> Kain's Lance. Then I started using Vanille instead of Hope. She's got higher HP and her saboteur role is better than Hope's Synergist one. So you could create a Paradigm of Lightning as a Ravager, Vanille as a Saboteur and Fang as a Commando and pretty much beat any foe in the game pretty easily. Use Vanille's Belladonna Wand, it improves her saboteur role immensely. Especially later in the game. If you want to really run up an enemy chain gauge quickly use Lightning's Edged Carbine->Razor Carbine->Omega Weapon. It's magic stat when upgraded through lvl 61 is 448. Combined with Vanille/Hope's magic based character you can stagger enemies lightening quick. Switch to Relentless Assault once they're staggered and let Fang cut them to pieces.
@SpeedDaMusicUp Once you complete it, there are a few movies then it ask you to save and you go back to the main menu. You then load the save and your back in orphans cradle with the boss defeated, but the mission to beat the boss again is still there but you don't have to do it. The Crystarium is now expanded to it's ultimate Level 10, you will need to do much CP farming to max it all. Good CP farming is from the adamtoise, cast haste or use shrouds then go to summon eidolon, debuff it then
Who the hell is Shaz? His name is Sahz. Also when I first get to Pulse, I get a back attack on the King Behemoth, you get instant stagger, then switch to Aggression and he goes down in less then a minute for a cool 4k cp. Do this over and over till you have maxed out your regular roles. On a side note, it is entirely possible to beat Adamantoise if you have Vanille's Death attack, for a whopping 40k CP you cant really go wrong.
The behemoth and the wolf thing are probably the easiest way to get CP. You can farm Atticus in Orphan's cradle with deceptisol+preemptive strike, but after you beat the game you can't return to that location. I also highly recommend you get the growth egg as soon as possible. Just give Vanille the upgraded version of the belladonna wand thing, and cast death as fast as you can. Your party needs to have at least 5000 hp and defensive equipment to survive several hits.
It really depends on what you're trying up upgrade. Particle Accelerators cost 10000 gil and gives you 4800 EXP. However, if you happen to have a lot of gil to spare (which I didn't) then you can buy an Ultracompact Reactor for 50000 gil and it gives you 40000 EXP. I think if you buy... it was under the R&D Depot?? Juggernauts rarely drop particle accelerators, equip lots of item scavengers/catalogues if you want to try it out. buying is the only way to get the ultracompact reactor.
@ExequieI No need to insult, and yes its on grand pulse. My favorite place to get cash,is actually in chapter 9.There are plenty of good enemies around chapter 9 while rescuing both:Vanille& sazh.
@KillyWildlands Try on the palamicia once you get to the main hallway. If you run all the way down and through the door, then back all the way to the air deck you can get 7k per run, along with lots of incentive chips. It will make sense once you get there.
The robot guys in Malhabra or whatever its called at the beginning of the zone are easy and give 2-3k per battle depending on the number of bots. If you have Thundega it makes it way easier especially with Hope and Vanille. 3 battles turn around 1 battle and do it all again a good 10k CP per run through, only downside is the drops arent the best.
Each 6 organic items gives bonus xp levels up to 36 items for 3x xp bonus. Use just 5 technological items for max xp. Best farming spot for gils early: The Palecium
you can buy Sturdy bones, Barbed tails and Vibrant Ooze in "Creature Comforts" Superconductors in "Lenora's Garage" probably after 8th chapter (before 8th ch. I recommended use ferroelectric films) Ultracompact Reactor in R&D Depot
Thank you! Still helpful in 2022! Great video Game Zone, question for you or anyone here, is it a bad idea to level up early game weapons? What are your thoughts on dismantling weapons? For example, I was upgrading Sazh's first weapon a lot, then I got his next one that sustains stagger, so I dismantled his weapon, but got like two things from it, (I think they may have been stones?). Anyways, thoughts on this please anyone? Thank you!!!
Do not dismantle weapons, sell them. You can upgrade the base waepons, at tier 1 they're one of the cheapest to upgrade (Airwing is the only exception, it's not Hope's first weapon, Ninurta is).
@shinnman7 Fang, Hope, and Lightning are my 3 favorite right now because Hope is a Synergist with party buffing abilities, Fang is a great Saboteur, and Lightning is a versatile player that can easily be a great medic, ravager, or commando with decent strength later on. However, later on based on your enemies, switching your party around to take full advantage of their distinct abilities might be in your best interest.
I can only assume that the problem must be your strategy and paradigms, which ones are you using? I will look on my save to see what to do and post you instruction straight away.
theres a spot that in the tower of ch 9 i think, with all those yellow robot things (forget their names) they give 8000 cp per battle. at that point in the game its fairly easy to level up the crystarium.
Once you get the Catalogs its easier to get components. However, the efficient way to gather a ton of components is to buy them so get as many gold nuggets, incentive chips, moogle puppets, cactuar dolls etc. as possible because there isn't any other way. Yeah it sucks they way they put in the upgrade system but whats done is done, eh?
@sdosider760 im not certain, but i think you have to get your weapon to level 100, it then get a weapon upgrade to tier 2, and reapeat to tier 3, get it to lvl 100 and its maxed
A good thing I'm in the process of creating the Ultimate Weapons Upgrade Guide because all the other ones I've found are completely terrible. If anyone will be interested in it, hit me up and I'll hand it over once it's finished. Note that my guide will include, with a small percent chance of error, how much experience is needed to fully upgrade every weapon, allowing you to know for sure how much exp. you need. Again, this will be the ultimate weapon guide for those interested.
@ch0pstickslrb Well mission 24 is like somewhere in the end at chapter 11 or something.. The movie isnt wrong in the way that it explains different places to farm gil and CP at even early stags, so you can start upgrading earlier if you wish too. Ofc there will always be better spots to grind, but then you need specific stats, and items..
Not all till the near end-game in which then I'll be going for the Snow gamer picture. I am only going to get Mission 3(To unlock most of the missions that give awesome stuff), Mission 11 or 12(For Chocobo), Mission 7(R&D Depot), and the Growth Egg Mission(Which will be a pain) the first time around.
@y2kboy145 stagger, then use com / com / com when your characters are back for max damage. You can also spam death if you use vanille, but the odds of this working are low but possible. Good Luck.
If those things summon the "giant bird" Amphisbaena, and you're too weak to kill it easily, just Retry. It doesn't offer any extra CP for the battle and it's not worth the time to kill it. And, if you appear to their left, you will always get a preemp.
I'm not a big fan of sasz but if you get on the palmecia after going through the outside ramps you walk up the stairs to a save point and 4 guys. These guys respond everything you walk down the steps. They give 512 cp and drop both types of chips.
I used to believe that the descriptions on the materials was a clue, telling which ones is best suited to upgrade which type of acessories and weapon. Like those who got electrical components would be best for guns and similar technical things. X) It felt easier when just using the mats giving the highest upgrade value.
The upgrading system is in no way confusing, but the best place to grind money to make all weapons tier 3 and in the 70s-100 was too time consuming when i finally put the game down
@theph3n0m200 Honestly, it's not great to farm until you get the growth egg. (Got from mission 55, and it's possible to get it as soon as you complete chapter 11). If you need CP to advance the storyline, then I suggest doing as many missions you can you bear to withstand right now for three reasons: 1) CP 2) They open up teleport C'eith stones. 3) If you're going for the last trophy, then, well, having to do 64 missions back to back and getting 5 stars can be infuriating, to say the least.
just got done annihilating this game without upgrading anything except the 3 doctors codes so I could dismantle into elixirs! Have every achievement except the one for every weapon/accessory. No need to upgrade your weapons with a good paradigm setup and leveled characters. Unless you want that achievement/trophy. Cactuars are the best for CP if you have the Growth Egg. Strap on the Random: Instant Chain equipment and go to town! Also, if you can kill it the Long Gui gives 2,000 with the Egg
You gotta use those components. its different ones for weapons armor and what not. Cobalite, Scaralite, millerite, perovskite, Mnar stone, adamanatite, dark matter,Rhodochrosite, Trapezohedron and uraninite are what you use to transform shit. just depends on what your transforming as to which one you would use
he never mentioned some of the best spots. adamantoise in eden. Behemoth and other wolf thing fighting outside Mah'habara. And the growth egg is essential. Though Hope's house actually seemed like a good plan, a lot of incentive chips to be gotten there. Shame I missed it.
which weapon is the best to upgrade for all the characters?i upgraded gladius, taming pole, healer's staff, paladin, vidofnir, procyons to 3rd tier max already..any other weapons better?
mission 26 or somehting in tajin tower is better you get moonblosm or soemthing after every battle they take less than 40 secs and a minimum of 6k per battle and the cieth stone is right next to mark
@AzumangaFan13 yeah, i'm really upset if i think about the phrase ''i'm an rpg veteran''... sounds like he played alot of western RPGs, not the real ones, like final fantasy, which are the first digital RPGs... and so he doesn't even know cactuar, one of the most important gimmicks in RPG.
very interesting video. im on chapter eight at the moment i think and this video has come in handy as far as the incentive chip and amusement park grinding. though ive seen better upgrading techniques on other videos. i still have yet to actually upgrade any weapon.
@felixsamuel16708147 You can go back to pulse. But only at the very beginning of chapter 12 (right after Barthandelus) and after that then not again until chapter 13. But in chapter 13 there is a portal which allows you to go back to pulse, so you can grind to your heart's delight.
@guillermo316 Oh yes, but once you have Adamantoise Farming down then you're good to go as far as Ingots are concerned. Do enough and they drop like hot cakes. Doing things like the Curse-Death Method is a good way to start early, but when you get strong enough and have the accessories, you can kill an adamantoise in less than 3 minutes. So ingots aren't all that hard to come by.
It doesn't make a whole lot of difference really. The first 7 or 8 chapters have enough enemies to fill out a particular CP stage before it expands. Some people like to grind enemies early in the game and while you can earn good items you're wasting your time CP wise. Each crystal increases it's amount greatly after each expansion. So if you grind a group of enemies for 56 CP in one chapter, the next chapter could see a group drop 640 CP and your crystals cost 1000 CP a piece. So you fought 20 groups of enemies in one spot where you'd only have to face 2 groups the following chapter for the same CP return. The best place to grind for CP really is the very end of the game with the Wladislaus and Jabberwocky and Bandersnatch enemies. They drop 32,000 CP per battle. Once you beat the game though you can't return to that area so make sure you're characters are leveled up completely in ALL roles, even the ones they don't specialize in. If you do this and beat the game with maxed out CP at 999,999 it will set your party up nicely for tackling the harder enemies within the later missions.
THE CACTUARS ARE THE BEST GIVERS OF CP,,IF YOU HAVE THE GROWTH EGG (WHICH U CAN GET IN MISSION 55 IN OERBA VILLAGE PROPER NEAR THE SUNKED HOUSE BUT IN ORDER TO DO MISSION 55 YOU MUST FIRST FINISH MISSION'S 1 TO 14 ALL FOUND UN THE BIG VAST GREEN LAND :)) AND WHEN U FIGHT THE CACTUARS U CAN GET 999,999 CP POINTS IN 40 MINUTES
@guillermo316 All T2 weapons take Trapezohedrons to upgrade...they cost ALOT. So you are better off farming them post-game. The famed Adamantoise/Long Gui drop them.
Start stagger gauge with com or sab then use rav to fill. Then use com or sab to slow drain on gauge if needs be. If you start with the gauge with a rav it tends to drain away very quickly; not helpful at all. Let me know how you get on, good luck and I hope I've helped you!
@guillermo316 Yeah, that is what you want to avoid doing, haha! If you are going for the Treasure Hunter Achievement/Trophy, then those 9 ingots would have came in handy for materials for lower tier accessories. There is a way to get Traps by dismantling Fang's "Kain's Lance" for a total of 2 traps. 3 times with that is enough for all characters, but I managed to get all my traps from the Adamantoise while I was maxxing my crystarium.
I know this is more the next video domain but about how strong do you need to be for the final boss? I did some leveling up on pulse and have maxed out everyone 3 main jobs and started on a fourth
@TheRatchet222 Aye that spot rocks! Currently I have Growth Egg equipped and I take about 15 secs beating the behemoth and wolf.... 13200 CP per 15 secs.... Gotta love it ^^
Now that this is available on next gen xbox and on gamepass I can do this new method and get the username for better and improved combo damage and stagger damage.

No problem happy to be of service. 1 Video down, FOUR to go!
Do not sell any accessories that you can't buy in shops(if you sell some you'll unable to achieve it)
1st way - early farm, farm when soldiers come in Hope's home
2nd way - post game farm.Must have Collector Catalog and Connoisseur Catalog equipped, at least 3 roles 5lvl (every char.) Go to Leviathan Plaza (Eden) and find Atamantoise, kill it go to gate and come back for resp.I kill about 18Atamantoise per hour, it's about 8-10platinum ingot (it's 8 x 150 000gil),I think it's not bad at all :)
I will be cover tips for all 3 Final boss forums and will upload it later tonight.
@Swenini there is a video of it.
the name of the Vid is:
Fastest way to grind in Final Fantasy XIII FFXIII 13
hope i could help you.
I picked:
Lighting: Blazefire Sabor- Balanced Weapon, Balanced Character
Sahz: Vega 42’s or Denab Duelers
hey nightfall, your weapon choices are not too bad but it just depends on what you want with your characters. personally for me I had
Lightning ===> Axis Blade since she is mainly a rav for me, the atb charge is great
Sazh ===> vega 42's is good for an all around or rigels if you want him to be a commando
Snow ===> Paladin since he is only good as a sentinel, he gets outclassed in every other role and Fang makes a decent sentinel
Hope ===> Hawkeye I think is the best since its magic stats are the highest when maxed out and upgraded
Vanielle ===> Belladona wand is great as a saboteur, if your planning on farming trapezhoids using her death ability this is the ideal weapon. healers rod is also good if you want to use her as a medic
Fang ===>Taming Pole is best even with the stagger lock ability she wont need it since shes primarily a commando/sent, you have the other 2 chars doing the staggering since fang is not the best ravager
Oky Khadifa
I really wanted a well rounded party with more members being able to fill in for a diverse set of roles rather than so and so is physical while others are magic especially for Lighting.
Switch to Relentless Assault once they're staggered and let Fang cut them to pieces.
why is that crossed out?
NightfallIV I don't know sir, weird internet I think. No worries, I was wondering the same thing lol :)
all i have to say is i wish i watched this when i first started to play the game. great help thank you very much
wait, i thought this focuses on how to upgrade weapons/armor? why is grinding level focuses even more?
@SpeedDaMusicUp Once you complete it, there are a few movies then it ask you to save and you go back to the main menu. You then load the save and your back in orphans cradle with the boss defeated, but the mission to beat the boss again is still there but you don't have to do it. The Crystarium is now expanded to it's ultimate Level 10, you will need to do much CP farming to max it all. Good CP farming is from the adamtoise, cast haste or use shrouds then go to summon eidolon, debuff it then
After hopes house with the blue bulbs also kill the white birds they give you superconductors
No, it is Sazh
Best farming spot for gils early: The Palecium
you can buy Sturdy bones, Barbed tails and Vibrant Ooze in "Creature Comforts"
Superconductors in "Lenora's Garage" probably after 8th chapter (before 8th ch. I recommended use ferroelectric films)
Ultracompact Reactor in R&D Depot
@@groudonvert7286 Oh I see, well thank you so much for the tips!
Now that I am in Gran Pulse, at least this will let me do something before the final battle.
theres a spot that in the tower of ch 9 i think, with all those yellow robot things (forget their names) they give 8000 cp per battle. at that point in the game its fairly easy to level up the crystarium.
but what should you upgrade and when, I just got to the first upgrade save point.
This guy needs to take advantage of the Y/Triangle button more. It could make a difference between a 4 and a 5-star rating.
I am only going to get Mission 3(To unlock most of the missions that give awesome stuff), Mission 11 or 12(For Chocobo), Mission 7(R&D Depot), and the Growth Egg Mission(Which will be a pain) the first time around.
congrats Luke, you got a subscriber from this video.
keep up the good work gamezone
A very useful guide for the farming.
I used to believe that the descriptions on the materials was a clue, telling which ones is best suited to upgrade which type of acessories and weapon. Like those who got electrical components would be best for guns and similar technical things. X) It felt easier when just using the mats giving the highest upgrade value.
Awesome 😎 video this my favourite final fantasy game
its KWING! but i always wanted to see what this game was like and this is cool!
The upgrading system is in no way confusing, but the best place to grind money to make all weapons tier 3 and in the 70s-100 was too time consuming when i finally put the game down
great vid, bro. i can't wait to use these techniques. very nice.
@theph3n0m200 Honestly, it's not great to farm until you get the growth egg. (Got from mission 55, and it's possible to get it as soon as you complete chapter 11). If you need CP to advance the storyline, then I suggest doing as many missions you can you bear to withstand right now for three reasons:
1) CP
2) They open up teleport C'eith stones.
3) If you're going for the last trophy, then, well, having to do 64 missions back to back and getting 5 stars can be infuriating, to say the least.
This is a fantastic video thank you
If you wait for the cactuar to mature, you get 15000 CP after you defeat him, but it is a little difficult.
just got done annihilating this game without upgrading anything except the 3 doctors codes so I could dismantle into elixirs!
The hp accessory can be built up past 1,000 hp it can go up to 2,000 hp with the Adamant bangle :P
Shame I missed it.
which weapon is the best to upgrade for all the characters?i upgraded gladius, taming pole, healer's staff, paladin, vidofnir, procyons to 3rd tier max already..any other weapons better?
mission 26 or somehting in tajin tower is better
you get moonblosm or soemthing after every battle they take less than 40 secs and a minimum of 6k per battle and the cieth stone is right next to mark
But in chapter 13 there is a portal which allows you to go back to pulse, so you can grind to your heart's delight.
this is the vid... i posted it seperately in hope it wont get erased my other message ^^
" Fastes way to grind in Final Fantasy XIII FFXIII 13"
@guillermo316
Oh yes, but once you have Adamantoise Farming down then you're good to go as far as Ingots are concerned. Do enough and they drop like hot cakes. Doing things like the Curse-Death Method is a good way to start early, but when you get strong enough and have the accessories, you can kill an adamantoise in less than 3 minutes. So ingots aren't all that hard to come by.
omg so bad. he doesn't even do it at 3x
I agree. what a waste of gill....
Yo, Is it better to grind one person and level, lets say flameberge for Lightning, or level everything equaly?
If you do this and beat the game with maxed out CP at 999,999 it will set your party up nicely for tackling the harder enemies within the later missions.
i beat this game and im still playing best game ever now if they can do dragon ball z like this it would be cool
THE CACTUARS ARE THE BEST GIVERS OF CP,,IF YOU HAVE THE GROWTH EGG (WHICH U CAN GET IN MISSION 55 IN OERBA VILLAGE PROPER NEAR THE SUNKED HOUSE
BUT IN ORDER TO DO MISSION 55
YOU MUST FIRST FINISH MISSION'S 1 TO 14 ALL FOUND UN THE BIG VAST GREEN LAND :))
AND WHEN U FIGHT THE CACTUARS
U CAN GET 999,999 CP POINTS IN 40 MINUTES
Binarpilot music in the intro, that guy is awesome!!
@guillermo316
All T2 weapons take Trapezohedrons to upgrade...they cost ALOT.
@Zondafreak93 his coat is his weapon. try change his weapon and you will see a different emblem on his coat.
The Rangda's can also summon a King Behemoth, and when they you will get squashed lol, i know i did at the start :P
You need to use crap material to get at least 600 experience it will trigger BONUSx3!!! You just shown how to waste their Gil
@DarkFoolJin nice tip, but i still would recomend farming the guys from 5:40 a few times to gain the xp needed to make KB's alittle easier
@guillermo316
Yeah, that is what you want to avoid doing, haha! If you are going for the Treasure Hunter Achievement/Trophy, then those 9 ingots would have came in handy for materials for lower tier accessories. There is a way to get Traps by dismantling Fang's "Kain's Lance" for a total of 2 traps. 3 times with that is enough for all characters, but I managed to get all my traps from the Adamantoise while I was maxxing my crystarium.
he is such a RPG veteran that he didn't even learned Sazh's name by watching cut scenes
He did not use this phrase in vanity, he used it in nostalgia towards previous RPG levelling styles.
I know this is more the next video domain but about how strong do you need to be for the final boss? I did some leveling up on pulse and have maxed out everyone 3 main jobs and started on a fourth
Thank you so much! Great tips!
Ok now how do I transform my weapon/accesory after it gets the star?
do u have to upgrade all items to stars and do u have to upgrade all weapons to tier 3 or just star
So is it better to farm when I get to "Gran Pulse" or after I finish Chap.11 and go back to Pulse to prepare for Chap.12?
@TheRatchet222 Aye that spot rocks! Currently I have Growth Egg equipped and I take about 15 secs beating the behemoth and wolf.... 13200 CP per 15 secs.... Gotta love it ^^
@RemixNoob i find using Fang as lead and then hope and light with a Com Rav Rav works wonders takes me about 14 seconds each run ._.
Now that this is available on next gen xbox and on gamepass I can do this new method and get the username for better and improved combo damage and stagger damage.
whit 30 medicinal oil you get x3 multiplicator, this item can buy for 150 giles in the animal shop, once yo get x3 yo turboject do more points
