Building and Managing a Startup Team: Part 1 of 2

On Tuesday, April 9, from 12 to 1 p.m., Business Administration Professor Melissa Graebner presented on building and managing a startup team. This is the first part of a two-part series. Dr. Grabner discussed studies with hundreds of companies that showed that the team was considered the most important factor in a company getting funded and in investors considering their investments a success. She also discussed the roles founders with academic backgrounds play in entrepreneurial teams, including “advisor” for faculty and founder/CTO/CSO/CEOs.
