It should be made abundantly clear: BSM is an MLP. You do not receive dividends. You receive distributions. There are tax consequences to be aware of. You should know/understand how it's taxed in your jurisdiction. That being said, I own BSM units (not stocks).
awesome. bejamin have you ever looked into indonesian coal stocks? i ran into them during my screening process and i saw that a lot of them were absolutely printing and paying double digit yields. i dont know much about the jurisdiction though, i just figured due to proximity that they would be supplying a lot of the coal to the new powerplants coming up in china and india even if a WW3 scenario took place. I cant say the same for a country like australia thats under control of the anglo-american establishment. personally i am looking to diversify out of western countries and into BRICS aligned countries, which is why i ask. Also, I havent heard one single person talk about indonesian coal stocks, i literally found it in my own screening which makes me feel pretty coool xD.
Undervalued. Great company.
I love BSM, I think it is my second biggest holding. Perfect play when you don’t know if recession or inflation comes next.
That's how I see it

Aren't MLP's not Roth IRA friendly in the US as a result or am I wrong???
You're right I loosely used dividends interchangeably for distributions, I did however point out the withholding tax headache.
$bsm is a no go for me as a Canadian. Even in my TFSA the government steals 33% of my dividend.
Yeah it's a killer. Hence why I said check your individual tax situation
Thank you for the video. Blackstone is a LP. Arent there Problems with the dividend for "non Americans" ?

Yep, I taxed a lot but still a decent yield net of that.
Yes indeed - check your own tax situation
