I’d love to see that fire engine alongside an older fire engine for comparison. I also imagine that it will look fairly large on your city streets. Good review. As a kid I’d have been happy to receive any of these for Christmas.
I am going to try and make Josh a more regular presenter. He usually joins only if he is in the proper mood though...darn teenager. I agree with your approach. Don't pay full price, wait for a discount.
Thank you for doing these build and review videos, gives us a great idea what to expect if we get them outrselves. This was some nice sets. Don't think I will get the training academy as I have no place for it in my city. The emergency vehicle HQ I don't need as I have have a moc fire station and plan to moc up a hospital and a police station as well) but the ambulance and police car looks nice though. The fire truck looks really cool so I have to get that even though it probably will be too big to be in my city.
Hello Alex & Josh, great video clip as always... I wanted to let you know I got you a present from LeLightGo as it will arrive in a few weeks. You can do it on either your mini-fig with your President Mindy or with Josh your choice. 👍👍👏👏
Im not a huge fan of the color scheme for the rescue vehicles. Fire trucks being red makes sense. Police being blue makes sense. But im not familiar with teal/yellow? Reminds me of the friends line for some reason? Maybe it's just me
@@allenthemadman ah ok thanks for sharing. Im not even sure what color they are here. And I can understand using high visibility colors for rescue vehicles but boy is it ugly 🥴😅
I've already got so many fire and police station sets, I won't be getting these. Although they look nice. I'd guess these sets could get up used in a MOC for a bigger police or fire station and then put into your city. I can wait to see what youŕe going to do with them.
If you think landing that helicopter on the small roof would be challenging, Think about the passengers and crew ingress and egress. That will really take some courage!
Are you talking about the area under my city? If so, I am having trouble deciding how to construct the track. I think it will need a hard surface, but not sure what to use.
@@alexnunes if you need an idea, you can get for cheap (used) the old LEGO System set Checkered flag 500 (i got it for 40$ used with box and instruction) and build a race track using that model/set. You can build more buggies if you have the parts/pieces that are used in that set, just change the color. For the track, you can use the old road plates/racing plates and decorate them with seats for the spectators, etc.
Call me a cynic but I don’t know why LEGO city set’s have to be this flashy and gimmicky. LEGO friends set’s work better for building a city than the actual LEGO city theme 🤦♂️
The obstacle course reminds me of the tv show wipeout with things knocking people off the spinning pole into the water.
That's it. I was thinking that too, but couldn't put my finger on it. Too bad it didn't have those massive red balloons.
@@alexnunes a LEGO Wipeout set sould be awesome, with interchangeable obstacles (like modulars). With the 3 hosts as official minifigs :D :)
Love josh's puka shell necklace glad they are bringing the style back

These new LEGO city sets are looking awesome
I really enjoyed Josh’s input in this video. You guys work well together!
Thanks, I am going to try to make him a regular presenter.
I love that you guys do these videos together! A joy to watch.
Thanks, Danah! I am going to see if he would be willing to join more often and become a more regular presenter.
The Police Academy movies. 😂
Great to see Josh joining the video again. The sets do look goid but I might have to wait until they go on sale before buying 😅

I’ll pass on the police academy for now. I like the fire command vehicle and it’s a heavyweight. I also built the emergency vehicle HQ as well.
It's a shame they didn't include Hightower and Jones for a bit of diversity in the Academy set.
Very cool you both doing reviews together

These sets are pretty good. It's good that Lego is changing things up. I'll probably buy these sets once they're on sale

Definitely looking for something bright, that's for sure. The ultra bright yellow is an interesting new color. It almost looks like fake LEGO.
@@alexnunes yea im not too sure how I feel about it
The teal, white, and bright yellow is usually a standard color for European rescue vehicles.

8:10 This set has to have the first Lego police horse, right?
Yes. They would have fit well in Forest Police but none.

Would you consider combining the Emergency HQ with your existing MOC hospital?

It sure would, yikes!
I wonder if I would be able to modify the firetruck seating area I’m not a fan of the middle steering wheel.
I think you could do so with the use of jumper elements.
I love the underlying satirical comments poking jabs at LEGOs pricing 😂
The fire truck is the best of 3 but I feel Lego needs to do better
Full confession, I kept the fire truck out and put the other two back in the box.
@@alexnunes lol
It's to bad the fire truck is bigger than the Lego city buildings 🏢
It's crazy, but it is. Gas prices are not its friend right now.
Ich habe auch ein set von denen gekauft 😊 war relativ billig und groß
Are you going to add these sets to your lego city ?
I was able to add just the fire engine, the other two just won't quite fit right now.
@@alexnunes oh. But they would look good. They can act as a filler piece.
Alex have you built the the old road drag race area

id swap out the female police chief for a male and then you would have the classic police academy movies set up
