I really enjoy the British Ground vehicles, am at 8.0 but the repair costs compared to other nations is ridiculous. Almost 40% more than my Germany line up at the same BR

it probably will if you wait, selling a event vehicle after release is silly, if u wait a year or so it almost always tripples in price, cause people who where taking a break from the game suddenly realized they missed some collectors stuff and will pay stupid amounts for it.
Why would anyone want to play the same extra small crappy maps at high tier, that they played years ago at low tier? The maps should be large enough that it would take most of a game for even a top tier tank to cross all the way to the enemy spawn, that way the game would mostly be played at or around the caps and maybe add more spawn points so there would be a better chance to spawn if one point is being watched.
Top tier just looks boring…. Kills from over 2km away, camping like crazy, atgms which don’t need aiming because you can adjust them so well, bombing targeter so bomb drop takes no skill
Fun fact: My father was part of the team who designed the Buccaneers wings. FYI - the aircraft is virtually indestructible! Once my father was called in as a pilot of one aircraft complained it was "juddering" when in flight. Remember, this is well before CAD etc. Turned out he'd hit a MOUNTAIN with the wing tip (RAF contour level bombing practice in Scotland).

ATGMs start appearing now at 7.3 (Sweden's SK60 has them), and are common at 8.7 and above (FJ-4, G.91, etc.). But, the only counter to them is fighters with IR-AAM's (which are not that common at 8.7 and are rear-aspect only) and SPAA (but the range of SPAA is not great, outside of a mile and you are spitting ammo into the wind, and most radar-SPAA have very limited ammo capacity). Bullpups and NORDS out-range the SPAA. The true counter would be SAMs, but Guyjob keeps bumping up the SAM vehicles to 10.3 and above. Da, balance tovarisch!
I don't want to be the dude that constantly makes excuses for players poor sportsmanship, BUT consider what you are seeing here. Odd is playing one ground vehicle and gets 4 or 5 kills. Then he gets in a plane and gets 6 - 8 kills. This is why so many players don't spawn in a second vehicle. Especially when they believe that the match is lost. Combine this with high repair costs at high tier and the economy changes that keep making it more difficult to get SL and RP and what you have is the slow death of great matches at high BR. Why lose 3 tanks in a match when it just cost less and takes less time to 1 and done. You play tour tank, get a cap maybe a kill or two and then bugger off. If the match looks like it is a winning one maybe spawn in a second tank, but then someone comes and ATGM or bombs you out of nowhere because some light tank is camping on a hill on the other side of the map and he marked you. It is not worth it when each loss costs you anywhere between 6 and 12 thousand SL. And what do you earn For a kill? FtoP you get around 2100 SL for a kill, with premium almost twice as much. You have to kill 4 enemies to break even and then still cover your ammunition if you are using non stock ordinance. Taking a cap point gets you almost 2400 SL but it also exposes you to the worst of the enemy fire. Repeat spawning in high BR is just not worth it because repair costs are too high and earnings very low by comparison. At rank 3 you may pay between 1800 - 3500 for a lost vehicle so you spawn in three or four times and still pay less than 10K SL. But by spawning in 3 times you stand a much better chance of earning more than the 10K you could lose. Multiple caps and several kills in each tank will boost your activity to 80 - 95% and then you can earn very well. At rank 6 -7 three spawns will cost an average of 15 - 24 thousand SL and you will rarely have games that earn over 16 -18 thousand SL. It is just not worth it to keeping getting wrecked. Sportsmanship does not pay for your upgrades. It does not pay for new vehicles. it does not get you anything but a momentary thank you from a teammate. And the next match that teammate that said thanks is the same one that wrecks your run. Why get wrecked for teams like that. Apologies for the long rant. But I am getting increasingly frustrated with the changes that Gaijin and the Devs are making to the game. I am not really having fun with WT anymore. And while I was about halfway to unlocking the Buccaneer and BMD-4 I realized that I would probably never even play them. So I stopped. Rank 5 - 7 just is not fun anymore. It is a grind that turns your humour and appetite for the game to dust. P.S. I love the vids. Seeing how excited Odd gets when having a good match and what a great sport he is when beat is really positive to me. These videos have helped me change the way I handle situations in the game as well. I am less angry and the pressure of taking losses don't stress me as much anymore. Maybe I am lucky to have gotten to a skill level where I can break even or make a profit almost every match now. Or maybe too many other players just don't really try that hard anymore. I don't know but I do know that these videos are the highlight of my day. and When WT gets to me watching Odd get right back in its face is really calming. Thank you for your effort dude. Meh. Thats why I like to crawl from spawn with an AA as my first spawn. An MBT or HVY taking the field in the late can change things, while catching their air with its pants down can deprive valuable SP. THIS particular set-up of plane seems rough to fight though. Odd is.... too good.

It's not meta so folks dont feel vindicated spending 50 hours grinding a plane they can't abuse or regularly have fun in a wide variety of game modes. (not how I feel about it, idgaf because anything above br 7.7 is toxic af personally) If the reward plane would have been an A7 corsair 2 (early models, A-C) it would have fit the exact same niche with similar performance with the only difference being guns, there would be much fewer complaints. The stigma is mostly that the Buccaneer is seen as a bomber first (mostly negatively received at top tiers) and an attacker 2nd vs something like an early A7 is seen as an attacker/CAS first. The mental gymnastics here is actually pretty interesting, a cool example of social science.
It's annoying, cause then us pilots get nothing. It's useless in air, yet you have to play air to get it. The ground mains alredy got a tank, why do we not deserve a plane?

I essentially unbound the steering controls and just use them as standard dumb rockets, or dont use them at all.

4k helps in every aspect of the game from spotting targets on the ground to seeing where to aim on a tank. Also the size of your monitor can help to.
