- ANOTHER PHILIPPINES BEACH HOUSE DAY... AND THIS ONE STARTS WITH A CLASSIC FILIPINO BREAKFAST!
Woke up to a beautiful rainbow, rain and gloomy weather has arrived. And because of that, I started craving bulad! Dried fish is something I have grown to love here in the Philippines. This video starts with a breakfast mission in my barangay and then turns into a little adventure around Cateel. Beach Home life here in Davao Oriental is always a blessing... and this day was another reminder of that.

I remember making sliced American cheese sandwiches with mustard and mayonnaise when I was a kid. Kyle, in my day we were called "Latch-key kids", because both our parents worked and we would come home from school unsupervised. We were perfectly safe in our neighborhoods and parents NEVER reported to Child Services. IT WAS NORMAL once for parents to teach responsibility and safety to their children. But preparing our own snacks when we arrived home in the afternoon from school, we invented many things to eat! Think of it this way, the true creative art of cooking is combining flavors we love together and trying something new. We were kids making our own choices, so I am sure I was not the only one who tried a stomach-turning gastrointestinal variety of unusual snacks in my youth!
Rainbows, which represent hope, are one of the things I miss most about Hawaii. I would see them virtually every day there and often multiple times a day! They are always so beautiful, and that one you started your day with was a gorgeous one.🌈
You were liked the Pied Piper at the end with all the kids following you. It's always a pleasure to see the kids filled with such joy at just seeing and following a new person in their barangay. They have so much curiosity. 😁

Me and Kumar are Cheese Whiz Brothers! Yes, I started doing that as a kid with all kinds of cheese, from sliced cheese to Valvette Cheese, to Cheese Whiz. I would use mustard and sometimes just Miracle or Mayo. Kumar, you are not alone!

The appearance of rainbow, means moisture in the air, a sign of rain to come! Not gold @ the end of the rainbow! Lol! Enjoy the warm & rainy days in Cateel, because when you arrived here on Vancouver, right now for the last 3 -4 days, it has been raining, & COLD!!! We had snow last Saturday.
