It was really hard for pitchers to have confidence that the lineup would produce runs last year so when pitchers gave up runs it just compounded things and it got out of hand like for pitchers like Rodon. This year's different if they give up a run our lineup can get it back so I think Rodon feels that and pitches with more confidence. Good start to the year for him

I thought for sure after last season we’d be entering a little bit of a rebuild this year and was pretty down about how this roster got so close in the past but couldn’t get it down.
They make a few big tweaks and this years team is incredible so far. Absolutely love it.
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but, I was watching Stanton's home run and I noticed something. Every other player i've ever seen when they hit a home run or any other kind of hit, they always follow through with their swing. Stanton as soon as he connects, his arms stop moving. He DOESN"T follow through. That's sheer strength. The only other player I ever remember doing that was Steve Garvey. He had forearms like Popeye. Stanton is the same way, Judge may hit more home runs, but Stanton hits them further. He may be the strongest player currently playing, in terms of sheer physical strength.He's so strong he only needs half a swing to hit the ball out of the ball park.
Stanton is definitely one of the strongest hitters in MLB history. My only candidates is McCovey, Sheffield, Adam Dunn, Kingman and Winfield. If only exit velocity existed then.

Soto has been owning HOU since he was a rookie. 6 games against HOU this season he's 15 for 26 9RBIS 2HR 2KS. What he's doing to them consistently is criminal and no one is calling the police. $800-$900 million for him to remain a Yankee. Make it happen Hal.

By the end of the season, Judge will be leading this team in HR and BA. I’ve been telling people it was just the first month. Once Judge starts seeing the ball well, his balance is perfect.
Baseball is about being in a zone and seeing the ball well. And everyone is sleeping on Judge.
THANKYOU for editing this the right way. So many other highlight reels are impossible to listen to because the announcer's comments are almost all cut off in mid-sentence....they jump around so much they can't be watched more than 30 seconds before killing it

We have the rest of the season to play out. However what a season (vs the Astros) for the Yanks even if they go 6-2 to close it out. Great game by Rodon, love that he's had the chance to just get aggressive and throw strikes knowing that he's got the run advantage.
Rodon hitting 97 on the gun is great to see and when that slider is working he really can be a great number 1 if Cole doesn’t come back and Gil at the 2 and so on.
Cole WILL be back, but he doesn’t need to rush it.

I REALLY like this yankee offense. Feels like they can run it up in a lot of different ways. Even getting spurts of production from guys like Trevi/Cabrera. Only missing piece is Torres rn.
Disappointed about Volpe's base running mistake, but it wound up not mattering, and other than that, it was a pretty tidy game by the Yanks. Hope to finish of the season series sweep later today!
Rodon pitching like 2022 Cole, and I'm fine with that. Hopefully 2023 Cole is next.
