This is proof that with very little space, you can make a screen accurate figure, with a screen accurate transformation.

I had the original GT set, they were basically premium painted, pre-assembeled model kits, they were good, but a bit over-priced, so these are rather nices. Also, there's more paint apps on this one than on the original one, the gold detailing really makes it pop.

I just got this guy last week, and he's an improvement over the Generation Toy-- the GT-05's lower torso pieces were attached with C-clips that would fall off constantly as you transformed it. That, and this guy has better paint apps than the GT-05. All in all, this is a GREAT figure for Legends scale figures!

Quick question if it's not too much of a bother- how does it compare size-wise to the Robot Masters (Trans Forms) KO you reviewed some time back? I guess I'm just wondering if the bot modes go well together and if the trailer from those work on these.
If I remember correctly they're close to the same size, this one may be a little bigger and the trailer on the other was a bit small as-is. Not sure if it'll work. I can't check at the moment because me collection is still packed from the move.

This figure is really impressive, I'll probably get this one. After a bit of rediscovery of the Transformers franchise I'm looking for a small Optimus Prime to keep on my overpacked shelves and your reviews are among the most helpful. I like that even if it's this small there is no "fake grid" and I fully agree about the weapon storage, it's so much better than peg it on the truck which looks a bit silly on a trailer-less Optimus.

I got their Grimlock and he's really good, I might want to get all 4 of 'em, I was hoping they'll made Optimus in the same model kit style as the others but he's still really really gorgeous. Nice review by the way
These are KO's of model kits from Generation Toy's to accompany their combiners. Megatron's gun mode can be held by their Devastator figure. The Shockwave can be held by their Bruticus, and the Grimlock accompanies their Computron. The Optimus was a separate figure. However, they added an assembled Optimus and Megatron together, (which I have). I also have KBB's Grimlock, which has to be assembled, Gunpla-style. However, this is probably the best Grimlock, outside of Masterpiece. With the Hot Soldiers and Magic Square Primes on the way, as well as the DX9, I might hold off on this, since I already have the GT-05. Great figure and great review.

I had it for quite some time and it's indeed very nice, only the ball joint on the head is a bit loose on mine (it can look up but even minimal movements bring the head down) but it's just a quibble. I love the lightpiping effect (keep in mind that I never had a post-g1 TF figure so it's new for me) and I like all the silver parts whose paint seems to be resilient enough (I transformed it every few days since August and there seems to be no chipping yet). And most of all it's so damn posable that I often move it and try new things just 'cause. I'll probably try make some space and get a few other figures, but I live in a quite isolated place and on-line prices for some of the figures I'm interested in are still a bit excessive (120 Euros for SS-38 Optimus Prime on Amazon.it just to give an idea :( ). It doesn't help that I got into IDW comics and that got me interested even in a frigging Battlemaster that's about to come out.

Good video. Prime looks good in robot mode but I dont care for the vehicle mode. The frame (legs) looks like it could be a little longer. But I would display it in robot mode.
I gotta say I really dig the proportions on this guy-- reminds me of TFA. Evidence that some of those fake vehicle chests can, at least in theory, be done legit-- if any 3rd party company thinks they can make it profitable, at least.
