So good. Everytime I see her she has noticeably improved from the last time I saw her. She’s really shaping up to be on my watchlist as one of the true stars in Tokyo!

THIS is BEAUTIFUL and my God! It's ARTISTIC gymnastics. She is absolutely stunning in this routine. Love this so much. My favorite routine so far out of everyone I've seen in PT. Love the attitude turn sequence

Love this routine even more than the one from the previous seasons, which was already exquisite. There are actually moments in the choreography and the music, especially on the choreography down to the floor that is reminiscent of the Soviets, as is the facial expressions and purposeful movement of the arms. This is one of the only floor routines that features actual choreography amongst the skills whereas so many of the others, even the ones considered artistic are so simple in the areas between tumbles and dance elements. I wish that routines like these, creativity in selection of tumbling coupled with beautiful dance elements and actual choreography and expression was a priority over routines like Biles or Carey.

lovely artistry. can someone correct me, i thought they had to have a pass that was backwards in the tumblings like a double tuck or something. or does her podkopayeva satisfy that requirment

She has a back 2 1/2... and a double front to get the backwards and double flipping requirements

She has a back two and a half punch front and also a back layout step out.

Wow, turns out it is *still* possible to dance. Is that... emotion on her face at 0:40?! Why is this so hard for everyone else :( :( :( Why do we have to watch a routine where a gymnast does: double double, full-in double, double tuck. Wish the judges/COP could properly award this brilliant routine.

Gorgeous routine, but it feels a little... disconnected from the music? Which is weird, because as I said, the routine itself is gorgeous. Also, holy crap that first pass!

Sorator Bellivael I agree. The music and dance just don’t fit.

It seems to me like a lot is fitting the harmony and not the melody, which can make it seem more disconnected than it actually is. It's smart. She hits the really accented notes but the focus is more on lengthy movements that she can really perform you the fullest extent. It's a smart choice when you're also balancing some difficult tumbling with your dance.

great tumbling and she's a really good dancer, but this coreo doesn't help, it's too much repetitive
