Remember when Rick was talking to Michonne earlier... he said they heard NOTHING from outside all the other establishments they had been to... and he said he's going to listen and have to decide whether to enter Alexandria... that's why he smiled when he heard children playing...
I like how we/you become so hesitant careful worried cautious Like the group feels The writers did an amazing job to give us as a viewer the same feeling and experience as the group It makes you feel part of the group.
Once again Michonne talks and Rick shuts up actually listens to what she has to say and agrees to her plan I just love their relationship how close they have become and how much Rick values her opinion.
I love how Michonne can tell Rick what to do without much pushback We’ve seen her do it before this was a big moment We’ve never seen something just straight override Rick’s authority like that and the fact that he doesn’t really fight against it shows how much respect he has for her and how much influence she has over him He really does listen to her and they can communicate without saying a word just by looking at each other and read each other well (actually the scene where Rick punches Aaron is probably the only time he goes against Michonne so far they share a look right before while looking at the pictures and after the punch she tells him Just so we’re clear that wasn’t a Let’s attack that man look It was a He seems like an okay guy to me look) It’s interesting that when you see Michonne telling everyone that they’re going to Alexandria not only did no one object (which shows the respect they have for her to allow her to take control like that) but while everyone’s looking at Michonne Carol is looking at Rick to gauge his response to what Michonne’s doing. The broken places that the rest of #TeamFamily are going through Michonne’s already gone through it (she’s kinda ahead of the curve) and since her epiphany after the fall of the prison she’s officially come out on the other side of the darkness She’s been watching the rest of the group and she knows that they’ve been there too long it started when she was listening to Carl teaching Father Gabriel how to survive The final trigger though was Glenn When she saw the mentality of Glenn in WHAWGO the man who’s the moral compass and full of compassion become so jaded angry and broken that’s when she knew that they’ve definitely been out there too long and something the change *Cue Washington Speech* When Michonne is speaking to everyone both as a group and individually she’s speaking wisdom from experience She’s already been where they are and she’s trying to save them from themselves the same way they saved her If that means taking change then so be it Rick’s not the only Alpha (and leader) in that group and we saw that when they first met and he tried to get information outta her by force and it didn’t work. It’s right about Michonne balancing Rick Hershel May have been his moral compass but I always refer to her as his anchor She keeps him grounded and I believe without her he’d be all over the damn place That tiny moment where they’re in the car in front of the gates and Rick hears the children’s voices when Michonne comfortably holds his hand and ask you ready you can see the relief wash over him it almost like she’s constantly stabilizing him On the flip side you can see that he not only trusts her but he wants her to be okay Back in WHAWGO you notice a shift in the friendship Michonne is really affected by the loss of Noah’s community Now Michonne’s not often comforted on the show by others She’s usually does the conformably usually verbally In this episode you see Rick very subtly touch her as they walk pass each other or touched her arm when he wants to talk or check up on her That’s a long way from saying Don’t you ever touch me again when they met back in Season 3 Their dynamics is slowly but surely evolved slowly but surely over the past few seasons The scene where she’s talking about Washington he pretty much has to choose between Glenn (No Washington) and Michonne (Washington) He sees that Michonne is not okay His trust in her despite her argument being based on a hunch and her not being okay triggers the final decision. Their dynamic can probably be summed up in a small moment between them in in the season 4 finale While the group is on their way to Terminus the day after Rick bit Joe’s throat out Rick asks her you okay she responds Yeah without her asking he reassures her and simply says I’m okay She responds I know surprised by her response he asks How she tells him Because I’m okay too Their friendship and dynamics is one of my favourites of the show.
haha glad you are all caught up with us! Thanks so much for joining us. Right now we are doing two vids a week (Wed and Fri). Hoping to ramp that up a bit more soon!
They're not pulling Rick away they are pulling him back to his humanity. Rick would have been just as bad as any other villain in the show without the people around him keeping him on the straight and narrow.
In the words ofAndrea "its not what you are saying, its your presentation" I think Rick is a bit like Shane in that regard. Ever since that night at the farm hes like, THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
Season 1 there’s a rustle in the bushes and a walker comes out, everytime freaks out….season 5 there’s a rustle in the bushes and a walker comes out and everyone be like phew 😮💨it’s just a walker 😂😂
I think Aaron is just kind of naive. He recognises that Rick's group are true survivors, but he does not fully understand to what extent. The "survivors" he brough back home before might not have been out in the wild that long...
haha y'all. I feel like I'm in the comments every week with this. I watched these episodes a decade ago. How am I supposed to remember everything? 😅😅 But I feel you -- the "my wife watches" title kinda throws people off.
Andrew Lincoln can literally say everything you need to know just from his eyes! Amazing acting! And welcome to Alexandria!

Plot twist: It was just a recording :D
The change in expression when Rick first hears the kids giggling though Absolutely beautiful.

I just love that we’ve been calling Noah, Gregory. 😂
Once again Michonne talks and Rick shuts up actually listens to what she has to say and agrees to her plan I just love their relationship how close they have become and how much Rick values her opinion.
OMG SO TRUE 😱😱😱
This is basically the start of a new era for The Walking Dead and I love it.

Think about it They’ve encountered The Governor The Claimers Terminus And then the Hospital people Would you trust anyone after all that.
Fair! haha

haha what a change
Welcome to the next act of The Walking Dead.
I've watched a ton of TWD reactors, and you guys are literally the first ones I've seen that didn't like Dale, haha. Everyone loves Dale.
haha I always forget when we throw the Dale strays 😅
I think Aaron is just kind of naive. He recognises that Rick's group are true survivors, but he does not fully understand to what extent. The "survivors" he brough back home before might not have been out in the wild that long...
Erika might have ventured over to Sauron, for a minute. because Michonne was cool with Aaron.
Could Aaron be a real estate broker?
He's really pushing Alexandria. haha. Investment property.
this is where some of the best rick comes in
Walkers are good people, i've seen, so far. I don't get the hate they receive in this apocalypse.
bro acting like he hasn't seen this already

I wish Tyreese made it here.
womp womp
⚔️🖤⚔️
I think Rick would rather have a rebellion against his decision than risk their lives again.
