Actually he was always well-dressed, mostly black&red (not because of him but this are my favourite colors from when I remember😅)

In 1988, at the height of my personal MJ fan-dom, I took a trip to Montreal with some friends. I went into a kind of punk/glam clothing store and saw a crazy belt I had to buy. It was only upon coming home when I looked at the giant, life-sized Dirty Diana poster on my wall, (MJ fans know the one!) that I realized I had unwittingly, almost unconsciously, purchased the EXACT belt Michael wore for that short film! At first I thought it was just uncannily similar. I counted the small studs, the large metal rings and examined every last detail. The was no question- it was in fact THE EXACT SAME STYLE BELT. I often wondered how could I have found an article of MJ clothing in a random store? It made sense to me years later when, during the BAD 25 documentary, I learned how Michael went to a similar kind of store in LA to pick out various clothes that would eventually form his “Bad” look. It finally made sense to me - I just wish I knew where that belt was today!
When you see all his clothes hanging in wire racks they seem cheap, but when Michael wore them he looked like a king for it was him who gave them that spark
