    I am new to upwork and I have landed three clients. Here are my tips
    Bid on payment verified jobs.
    Write custom proposals and avoid copy and paste proposals.
    Bid jobs that were posted minutes ago i personally recommend bidding a job that has less than five proposals.
    Attach relevant samples. If you are website developer, attach links to your previous websites.
    If you are a newbie, avoid bidding on big projects. Bid on small paying jobs. This will help you in building your reviews.

      I do every signal tip you mentioned, but I am not sure if i am charging low enough, I am web designer and my rate when sending proposals is 9$ an hour and and 39$ for fixed-price. Is it low enough?

      @@hamodi20091 i think nine dollars for a web developer is a bit low and this may be the reason clients are not considering you. Make it at least fifteen dollars an hour. Kind regards.

      @@hamodi20091 Yes I agree that if your rate is too low, that also will cause clients to overlook you because they think you won't do a good enough job

      Send an example of a recent proposal you've sent and I can review it in a video to give you feedback: freelancefamilyman.com/contact

    How the F am I supposed to get experience when everyone is refusing to hire me?
    I have sent out about around 7 proposals on different websites and no one hired, what am I supposed to do if I have no experience but confident that I can do the job?

    • @FreelanceFamilyMan
      @FreelanceFamilyMan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah that's the hardest initial hurdle but it's possible to convince clients to hire you even though you've never had a client before and I can make a video on this soon explaining this in more detail but the basics are this:
      1. Stronger sales skills
      2. Creatively crafted portfolio that shows off your skills on any project even if it's stuff you did for free for yourself.
      3. Go after smaller businesses that are looking for freelancers that can grow with them and be willing to charge lower rate to start. Not excessively low, but lower. I broke in because of a couple key clients willing to take a chance on me, they do exist but it takes submitting 50+ proposals sometimes before you find them.
      What service do you sell as a freelancer, what's your expertise?

      7 proposals and you're frustrated already? Perhaps you should reconsider if you really want to be freelancing on this platform. I have sent more than 70 and I'm not giving up. It's tough in the start.
