- The artistry, the elegance, the classiness is so pleasing. It’s not a spectacular MV with multiple sets or whatever but it’s just enough in my opinion to set the tone. It almost has an eery vibe to it with the shadows etc (probably reminiscent of the movie but I didn’t watch it so I can’t tell). I was obviously more focused in the MV and the dance than on the song since I already know it but this choreography will never ceased to awe me. It is so sharp and powerful yet flows and is so elegant, they really did such a good job embodying the concept, all the members outdid themselves on this one. However I believe this dance concept was made for Jimin, it fits him so perfectly, the emotions that he puts in every move is breathtaking. I really enjoy watching im dance because it’s alive, the dance tells a story of its own along with the song. Love that! Plus the corsets, UGH! We had a phase with harness, can we have corsets now?

I really thought we were done with BTS' content for this comeback for now lol, but I'm not complaining! This MV was very simple, but it fits the song well. Personally, I would have loved to see Hoseok have a solo dance part in the MV as well, especially since he barely has any lines in it... as much as I loved Jimin's parts and we know contemporary dance is his field, I feel like Hoseok's would have added something maybe more "intense" and they could have mirrored each other in a way... oh well.

To be Completely frank, This is much better of a music video than the OFFICIAL ON we got, is so much more cohesive and really brings the song to life, I would have personally preferred this being the main title track and promoted as the single having seen this now.
I actually really like ON come prima ver and official MV was a little bit "shadowed" by the performance ver..but this one also so so good, I mean I'm like mesmerized watching it..

Jimin personifies this song because it was written by RM for and about him. That's why he's the only one with wings in this, because he IS the black swan. In the dance company MV, they prefaced it with a quote by a famous dancer, about how a dancer dies two deaths, the first one being when they can no longer dance and that the first death is the most painful. This song is about Jimin losing his passion for dance and fearing that he is experiencing that first death. There's a reason why RM cried when he wrote it.
the songs lyrics were written for them all in terms of them fearing losing passion for music. while the dance style fits jimin to a T, I don't think namjoon has said anywhere that it was written for jimin
@@nickismith8611 V/Taehyung posted on weverse that "black swan = Jimin", so RM didn't say that the song is about Jimin, but Taehyung did. Also, the quote and some of the lines make it clear that it's about a dancer. That doesn't mean that the others can't relate to the song in any way, but it is Jimin's song.
@@psychokitty71 The post tae was responding to was in regards to the dance and how well jimin fit the style which we saw perfectly in the mv today. Still, rm hasn't said the song is about jimin and it's not really good to state something without all the facts even though we all have our own interpretations. The quote about a dancer dying their first death when they stop dancing isn't supposed to be taken literally, it's to be applied to all of us and whatever we are passionate about; that's why its so relatable.

Interesting how things work out, I liked the song 'ON' better than 'Black Swan' but when it comes to the MV's for those songs it's the opposite... I disliked the 'ON' mv and love this 'Black Swan' mv. BigHit doesn't stop until we're completely full.. they just keep on feeding. And I know we say this all the time but... the devil may work hard... but BTS really does work harder xD
