- 今回は令和5年7月の最終土曜日に三重県松阪市をぶらり散歩してきました。
松阪と言えば、今では松阪牛が全国的に有名ですが、江戸時代の松阪商人の活躍は目覚しく、大坂商人・近江商人と三大商人と言われていました。
江戸や大坂や京都に店を持って、支配人、今で言う店長さんに店は任せて、経営主は松阪の家から経営をしていました。
松阪商人の中でも三井家は、日本の三大財閥の現在の三井グループに発展。家は非公開ですが外観は見ることが出来ます。
松阪城跡は建物は火災等で現在ではありませんが、石垣が残っており、公園として憩いの場になっています。松阪城を守るお侍さんが居住していた御城番屋敷は、現在でも人が住む現役の住居で、その中の1軒が無料で内部を公開しています。るろうに剣心のロケが行われたようで資料も展示しています。
食・歴史・観光を堪能できるまち松阪。食はのんべえおじさんの散歩なので堪能しませんでしたが、歴史と観光は堪能させて頂きました。

This time, on the last Saturday of July 2023, I strolled around Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture.
Speaking of Matsusaka, Matsusaka beef is now famous all over the country, but in the Edo period, the success of Matsusaka merchants was remarkable, and they were said to be the three major merchants, Osaka merchants and Omi merchants.
I had stores in Edo, Osaka, and Kyoto, and I left the store to the manager, who is now called the store manager, and managed it from my home in Matsusaka.
Among the Matsusaka merchants, the Mitsui family developed into the current Mitsui Group, one of Japan's three major conglomerates. The house is closed to the public, but you can see the outside.
The building of Matsusaka Castle is no longer there due to fire and other reasons, but the stone walls still remain, and the castle has become a place of relaxation as a park. The Gojoban Yashiki,（castle guard mansion） where the samurai guarding Matsusaka Castle lived, is still inhabited today, and one of the houses is open to the public for free. It seems that the location of Rurouni Kenshin was held, and materials are also exhibited.
Matsusaka is a town where you can enjoy food, history, and sightseeing. We didn't enjoy the food because it was Uncle Nonbe's walk, but I enjoyed the history and sightseeing.
