Same. Innistrad was the first set I drafted at my LGS. It was a huge event - people were so excited for it, and with good reason. It was a really awesome set and it had a lot of groundbreaking stuff for MTG at the time.
269$ for a box that has *very* good odds of not supplying 130$ of cards worth 1$ and up. SMH, buy these two 15$ 24-packs of soda for 30$ (But one of them is imaginary). It continually amazes me that there are so many players hot to make wagers they always lose money on. Amen on the long-term growth focus, Mox. Preach that loud and proud! This most-immediate-short term focus is madness.
I agree with you if they remaster old sets yea you got a few cards that are worth a pretty penny but not enough for the set to be that high in price, especially if there are no new cards or game breaking op cards then it really shouldn't be worth an arm and a leg. More than likely they'll treat collector boxes like they are worth foundations. You have this foil then you have shatter foil and then you have shatter foil japanese just to pull in wallets. I myself and gonna pass on this set maybe singles if anything calls to me but my wallet is waiting for Atherdrift. Power to the artifacts baby!!!!!
I was thinking of getting this so I could possibly get a Edger. Till I started seeing the prices. Of the collectors was 250 I would say yes but 400 that's a naw from me dawg.
I TCGed one wolverine and one storm card (Rhythm of the Wild and Ice Storm) 7 and 5 respectively. $12 seems reasonable vs $200. I want the Captain America card, but like the One Ring... it's just too expensive for cardboard. And I actually have no home for Cap as my soldier deck is Red White and GREEN. LOL I wonder how Innstrad is to draft?
Serialized Edgar will push the set I guess. But we will see. Going to open some packs hunting Edgar. But we will play the cards as well in a little tournament. That rocks!!!
Good thing i work for the distributor 😂😂. Def gonna grab a box or 2.and yes product gets over printed we still have 3 4 and 10year old products at hand
They should be cheaper for they do not need new designs, but Hasbro needs to get all the money they can get. Long term growth is unimportant to them, they need to meet their quarterly goals in their ivory towers. No time like the present to sell boxes!
Well, just like Ravnica Remastered and MH3, I'm not preordering, will participate in the prerelease, and see if it interests me from there. Of note, Rav Remastered I think I bought 1 or 2 boosters. MH3 I only did the prerelease only. They really didn't get me attention. Especially for their price points. I'm expectibg the same with Innistrad Remastered.
I had the cash, I pre-ordered because my LGS generally doesn't have much specialty sets and rarely reorders (rightly so, I might add, given it's in a small town). I stopped playing for about 10 years and completely missed the silver age of Magic.
I want these collectors boxes, but I don't think I 400 dollars want them. Under 300 would be a yes my rav remastered position's cost basis was 260 a box and its current floor is 355. If you can stomach lower liquidity I think these things are a good move for some
Well since I'm upset with WOTC on the Marvel secret lair cards. I don't think I'm going to buy a box or play draft. I'm just going to look for singles and maybe buy a pack or 2. Update my commander decks.
I’ll probably draft with friends , maybe buy a single or two depending on what tickles my fancy , I’ll probably through up the wallet for final fantasy
I feel like I'm writing the same sentence over and over again. Great idea for the set, but the price point is unrealistic. Depending on what is in the set I will look out for the singles one or two months after the set release.
To be fair some of the bad faith preorder feel bad may factor into this. Sone sellers have given a bad name because of cancellations of preorders only to relist at higher prices
So i never have got to experience a good innistrad release. When I got back to magic i was pulled back into the world of innistrad. I loved it as it reminded me of the dark. Then the two innistrad sets came out a couple of years ago. We all know they were awful. The b&w frames were done wrong. And the whole thing felt so generic compared to the older sets. A vampire wedding was a terrible idea.
Wizards is starting to lose me with these prices.... Think I might back track and pick up Khans of Tarkir and Aether Revolt 2 boxes for the price of 1 of these play booster boxes !
Serialised Edgar Markov? No way…. It can be only one Edgar card. It will be a special edition of special edition. It will shine in darkness and market value will be bazilions dollars😅
the problem its they keep increasing the price and have lots of oversupply. Too many sets coming too close to each other, Im saving my money for a set I really want to not buy a reprint of old sets.
@@valonthor2071 Exactly, I plan to spend a shit ton of money on that one, but all the others before it are meh to me I will buy singles if I need anything
I don't see what cards they can include to make it a great product. There's just not enough high value cards. I kept my preorder small until we see some spoilers. Ravnica Remastered has no "yet" for a sale. It's done nothing but rise in price, there's no reason for it to drop considering how hard it was to get. Foundations is SOLD OUT, there's no way it's dead when the next wave hits.
Let's see.....January 2023 Wizards released Dominaria Remastered, January 2024 Ravnica Remastered, and now January 2025 we will have Innistrad Remastered. These are all OVERPRICED reprint sets. Do we really need to go to Innistrad again? I will skip this set just like Ravnica Remastered. The past 3 years Wizards has had reprints on the brain and far too many good cards have tanked in price big time. So, Wizards wants it both ways where they charge huge prices for the Play Booster and Collectors boxes for these remastered sets where you clearly do not get much value back out of a Play Booster box and Collectors box. I waited 6 months and I bought a couple of boxes of Dominaria Remastered for $89.99 each. Thank you for the video Mox Man. Ramble Jamble.......Stage left.
@@chim007azo Unfortunately, I did not find the other Remastered boxes on sale. Amazon had a dump back in 2023 so I bought the Dominaria Remastered for $89.99.

Remaster your wallet is the real set block
Can’t wait to see the Edgar Markoff, shiny special awesomeness, crazy fractured etched hyper oil foil card go for over $1000
I dont really like fractured and etched foils
Spot on in the Ramble Jamble. Lowering price to get more players' involvement would be the way to go. This is the way
One of my favorite sets, only because I started on it. I’ll probably get a box to draft with my friends.
Same. Innistrad was the first set I drafted at my LGS. It was a huge event - people were so excited for it, and with good reason. It was a really awesome set and it had a lot of groundbreaking stuff for MTG at the time.
I can't wait for Unglued Remastered, so many needed reprints. Standard would be nuts!
That is a great idea! but I hope they keep the price in check
It would be Magic the Gathering UN-Mastered
Boomstickorino MoxManiacs!!!!
First to the Key First to the Egg
Innistrad was so serious that the bro had to take his glasses off the moment he recalled the set
LOL
What’s the likelihood they unban griselbrand in commander right before release?
Oh I think it might get unbanned

Not having any ... 🤘🦁🤘

❤❤❤
You can totally buy the old Innistrad sets for cheap
Very true~!!
I'm 100% convinced that I don't need to buy Innistrad Remastered, maybe a few singles if there's some cool art.. but that's it!
The collector boxes will do fine but I think the playboosters will languish.
Box prices must remain somewhat high in order to keep value amongst singles. Edgar being an example.. his price is never going to see $100 again
I want to exit stage right

I found the card mechanics in Innistrad to be entirely incompatible with anything else I was doing.
