Personally there’s nobody I’d rather watch ski a line than hoji. I think the best quality he has is that his skiing never looks ego driven, but direct passion for a fun line that he’ll enjoy. Still absolutely psycho skiing but while many are trying the Aggro-ego huck fest, hojis refined skiing is very unique. Extremely enjoyable to watch.
Jean Claude Killy, Ingemar Stenmark, Scott Schmidt, Shane McConkey, Candide, Hoji, Vonn, Shiffrin etc etc etc. There is no such thing as the greatest skier of all time, there are just great skiers in different generations.
Grew up in the same town but 16 yrs older . filmed a week w him , and andrew shepherd at Wiegle world a long long time ago '98,99??. Another great bud Troy Jungen passed down some nice test model 4 front skiis & boots (hoji model s)that got me back into ski mode last year. I never realized he charges like this .sick super g lines hoji!!! Thanks for the hand me down kit! Hoji ,and Troy!!😊 Was thinking of going south this winter ,but after seeing this .... north
Love Hoji but not sure he is the GOAT. Not sure there is GOAT in skiing. Maybe the most intellectual skier is Hoji, he sure had a lot of influence on the equipment and style. Most creative = JP Auclair (honorable mention Henrik Harlaut), Most influencial = Glen plake or Shane McConkey (or JP Auclair again sorry), Best freerider (there are so many but) = Sage Cattabriga-Alosa (Angel Collinson is in this category with the Godfather Mike D). Best big mountain = Kye peterson or Jeremy Heitz (honorable mention to Sylvain Saudan). Best cliff hucker = Seth Morisson (honorable mention to Hugo Harisson for four points landings). Honorable mentions not on my list (to prove it's not a one man/women show: Mark Abma, Sean and Callum Pettit, Ingrid Backstrom, Greg Hill, Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall, Dane Tudor...GOAT is CANDIDE THOVEX, riding, different style, big mountain, freeride, freestyle, he has shaped each style in many eras. My Mount Rushmore is complete with Kye Peterson, Jeremy Heitz, Angel Collinson. They each have had more impact then Hoji.

He's not just a great skier, but an awesome athlete. You need to spend a huge a amount of time working out to ski at that level. Amazing.
