    Good job on this , I just Upgraded to the Garmiñ Striker Vivid 9 SV , I had the Garmin Striker 4 with CV , I liked it no problem it did well in deeper water situations , but 90% of my water is from. 2 to 8 ,,one lake goes to About 11 ft But briefly ,, The one Major thing I've learned about Sonar Equipment is your always learning More about Sonar Equipment , Anything Else Ya Got On This Subject Is Greatly appreciated

    Hey Matt! Love your videos and thanks for putting them up for the rest of us. Matt, I understand your comment about having to rotate the image (screen shot) to get the "actual image" of crappie being stacked vertically, but why is that necessary? I mean if the sonar shoots the signal straight down and back up, wouldn't the image be true without having to rotate it? Thoughts? Thanks brother. Jeff.

    I have watched several videos on side imagining and so far this is by far the best I’ve seen. What really helped me was when you rotated the screen and explained that and showed how the fish were stacked. Thanks so much!

    Great video, thanks! I recently got a Lowrance Elite FS 9, so am new to side imaging, but when I run docks, I'm not seeing the floats on the side image. How close do you have to run next to the docks to see the floats and in general how far away do you want to be when scanning docks? Could be my transducer isn't set right? Fyi -- I live 15 miles from Hartwell, so nice coincidence!

    Good video. That helps. I’m struggling seeing brush piles on SI that I know are there. Been told the older they are the harder they are to see. Is that true?

    • @WiredforCrappie
      @WiredforCrappie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dave, That is 100% truth. Reason they are harder to see is over time the structure gets waterlogged. This causes it to soak up the sonar waves more and you don’t get as hard of a return. Also the algae which grows on it will cause the same effect.

    Good video. What time of the year did you catch the fish from this spot and why does PVC not show a image?

    • @WiredforCrappie
      @WiredforCrappie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PVC does not put off a hard return. It absorbs the waves instead of sending them back.
