I've Completely Flipped My Opinion on Ellen! Time to Pull... or lose a 50/50 (Zenless Zone Zero)

- Why Ellen feels like a must pull for my plans in Zenless Zone Zero, and I take a 50/50 shot at my first banner unit in the game.

That Koleda is probably the biggest W disguised as an L as you could have gotten. Your soldier 11 is gonna go crazy cause now you can use Soldier Koleda Ben for one team, then the other team could be Ellen if you end up continuing the chase, or anybody else you have in the roster. All in all a great pull session, getting all those Soukakku dupes is HUGE as well because she's really good even outside of Ellen teams.

I was extremely blessed on my pulls and managed to get Grace and Rina from the standard banner, and electro team goes bzzzzzt, so I haven't felt the need for Ellen but she looks amazingly powerful, doubly so in her Tier 0 team.
Played Koleda in the story though and she's cracked. Win tbh.

You need Soukaku dupes, she'll pair with Ellen and Lycaon for a mono ice team as she's support. Also she's section 6, so she'll pair well with Hoshimi Miyabi(must pull) which is an ice sword user in the future who is also Section 6. Also having a Fire and Ice team and using them interchangeably works very well. As you'll eventually need two teams built.
I've been so luck as F2P to have pulled Ellen today and Rina yesterday. So Ellen, Rino, and Soukaku are a perfect synergistic team! Can't wait to stack this team and play more.
Koleda is a good breaker; the tier list is a tad bit misleading here since Koleda is an amazing breaker, it’s just that Lycaon is HIM. Not to mention that Koleda will complement your Soldier 11 quite well! Also afaik Soldier 11 is among the best DPS currently so building her is pretty safe
Great video! I also lost my 50/50 on Ellen at 75 pity to Koleda too (weird to see it happen to someone else). But I got Ellen 15 pulls after so I hope the same happens for you! Best of luck!

Same hahaha lost 50/50 pulled lycaon from both standard and limited banner but the next 10 pulls on Ellen. She came home hahaha
I love doing ice in every game i play, and i don't have Ellen just yet, but my first S rank was Lyacon. So, no rerolling for me xD as that was followed up by 5 copies of Soukaku
The irony of losing my 50/50 to Lycaon but was so happy with Lycaon Soukaku Corin team cause Corin slaps even hard now.

Shoot, sorry that you didnt get her in the first several pulls. That said, I lucked into a double Rina pull early into the game (1 was my focused) but having a strong Rina to start motivated me to build electric/housekeeping build, that is what initially drove me to start focusing toward ellen, but then trialing her character revealed a nice secondary in that she has a great consistent charge which makes clearing drawn out maps feel less like a chore, and the benefit of dash into elevated melee attack is icing on the cake. Sometimes it is just the small psychological/state-of-mind victories like cutting down the monotony that can make the difference. Ultimately had an amazing double pull of ellen (within 4 of each other, so feel like ive exhausted my luck in this game lol).
I lost the 50/50 for Ellen as well. I decided before i started that I would pay a little, so I did eventually get Ellen. I definitely like her a lot. I just don't know who to use as my third. I'm using Soukaku as my 2nd. The only other S character I have is soldier 11. Should I just use Anton as my third? Or Anby?
The absolute maddening OCD that he never clicks over to the Fading Signal shop to show us that he already bought the 5 pulls for the month... and if he hasn't... why he didn't buy those first before doing singles... aaaaagh.

Koleda is the fire stunner version of Anby! She's so perfect with Soldier 11, and she's such a busted DPS. Match them with either Lucy as DPS support for more piggy damage, or take Ben as survival support. The healing is so scarce in Hollow Zero, Ben would really be beneficial with that shield.
anton is by far my fav 4star hes so cool and fun
Piper is dope. I got 4 dupes of her and she does hella good dmg. All I need is a good W engine for her and not sure where to start.
I lost 50/50 to Soldier 11 within first 8 pulls on Ellen banner.
Just got Ellen today at almost hard pity. Then got Ellen's W-Engine at 2 singles!
On top of that, I have a m1 Grace. My account is pretty good so far.
Just crossing fingers for Lycaon and/or Rina.
Ice is also probably getting Miyabi next update🤞

I lost the 50/50 within like 40 summons of Ellen’s banner. I got Soldier 11. BUT THERE’ HOPE since i lost the 50/50 in the early game!!

The prydwen tier list is just fluff... they just make up whatever people want to see in that thing. Any real info is in the damage calcs but even then its iffy since they're too idealistic and unrealistic.
tbh most tier lists are kinda crap, mine included. Used to make my own a lot and all they really did (outside of getting views which was nice) was just stir up outrage.

You may be surprised but with the Sol 11, Kol, Lucy build, Lucy does insane damage, i had lucy level 10 & rest level 40, Lucy did most dmg as support vs level 45 enemies... Crazy! Don't sleep on Lucy! :)
Oh trust before the game released I wanted to use Lucy I have unlocked her but I legit have no characters for her so rip once I do I’m building her
I would say it's always better to get end game rewards as fast as possible so you can get those chromes for more pulls. It's a trade off with her having tough competition later on. The trial S ranks I played through the story are insane by comparison to the beginner characters.
It takes 75~150 pulls to get a limited banner unit, getting those endgame rewards a few weeks earlier isnt gonna compensate for those pulls. Dont feel pressured to pull just to rush content its not worth it

@@youngwang5546 I haven't found any need for stuns whatsoever. Dodging with Soldier 11 and burning things is making fights go faster than my Ellen team fights.

I hit soft pity on ellen which is already brutal and had to lose on her weapon banner on its soft pity as well, damn my luck in this game is terrible

I really love how they made Ellen's play style akin to a shark. That roaming state is so shark like you dash and quickly bite down and dash out and in again and bite again. She really is a shark. And hey you can also play feeding frenzy with her coz you really need not to dash out but just double press and quickly bite again
I mean what Hoyo did to make us pull Ellen because there are no other Ice type agent and most of the hollow zones requires you to have Ice type Agent and there is only TWO wtf Hoyo hahahaha
