I do that sometimes as well. But this time I was recording audio on the H5 with Rode lav and I didn't turn the lav on. Oh I got a audio file. Just was flatlined the whole time LOL
Hey bro!! I have an M6 and want the mic pro. I use a micro, but want to “upgrade” my mic. Got any info on how to connect it using an L Bracket or Flash Bracket without it being so bulky? I saw what tubenoob did with his setup but he doesn’t have a video on how to connect the ballheada on the L bracket.
Alluring Bettas amzn.to/2UTdoXS that is what I recommend and have used. I don’t prefer the ball head. It’s overkill. I just put the camera on the flat side and mic on the flash shoe side. You can pan left and right the mic but you won’t have up and down which I found more than sufficient.
I know this post is years old, but hopefully you'll see this... when I plug an external mic into my M50, it won't record sound. Could there be something wrong with the camera?

AWWWWWW YEAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Might upgrade from m100 to this just for the audio jack
Yeah the M100 is great for what it is but if you need a external mic it fall short of the audio jack.
