- The ReWalk is a wearable exoskeleton that combines robotics with human assistance to make walking possible for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Controlled through a combination of body movements and commands from a remote wristband, the ReWalk enables individuals with SCI to sit, stand, and walk.
At Helen Hayes Hospital, specially-trained therapists guide patients in the use of the ReWalk in therapy and at home.
Participating in exoskeleton therapy restores independence, increases psychological well-being, reduces pain, and improves overall health and fitness.
Use of the ReWalk has been clinically shown to reduce complications from spinal cord injury, including thinning of the bones, spasticity, pressure sores, and bowel and bladder dysfunction. It also increases cardiovascular function and contributes to overall weight loss and a decrease in body fat.

Love that this restores the ability to put weight on the lower legs, thus helping stop atrophy. If one had hope of nerve growth and to regain some level of function, I wonder if the increased exercise and blood flow and use of legs would help stimulate that in some folks?

This is quite amazing. Rewalk was invented in Israel by Amit Goffer. Unfortunately because of being a quadriplegic due to an automobile accident, he was not a candidate for it.

It is an awesome start but, come on you can do better!! Having to stop and hold his balance while then fussing with the watch buttons sucks. Samsung's Galaxy and Apple watches have voice control features. The watch for this exoskeleton needs something like Bixby built in to make this easier for the individual wearing it to maneuver.

You could maybe get one if you are able to private pay. Usually these things must be approved by your country’s main health agency; such as in the USA it is the FDA that has to approve devices or medicines
